@Carrythxd - Too funny, obviously the mod was not designed for modded packers and trucks, LOL :D. Also, if the garbage truck gets stuck like that, just start the job again. Sometimes the driver thinks he is on the bridge above the garbage depot, not sure why, or how to fix.

I'm having a problem. Once I change the settings in the "ini" and save it, they go back to default once I load the game. Tried to change the lunatic spawn rate and the garbage driver obeying traffic laws.

@tobu - to change the .ini settings I believe you need to quit the game. It may work from the main menu, not sure, but I just set them before I start.

Okay, it worked! I was inquiring about the specific setting in the "ini" file that says "security_ride_in_car." I made that setting true but what does it mean?

Setting that to true will make you ride in the client vehicle (car or boat) during security detail jobs (majestic hotel and boatyard) instead of the escort helicopter that follows.

@Franktenpenny - A number of things could cause this. I would like to know if you have a lot of modded vehicles, and some more information on the error if you could. Feel free to PM me.

@MarkC9 - I only have the DLC on xbox, so I can't test. The old version worked on EFLC, I am not sure why this one would not. What kind of issues are you experiencing?

Hi Prof_Farnsworth i have finaly managed to get on the pc and download the script but after i load the game i get this error after scripts loaded =

@DominoCity - after a few seconds, a prompt should appear telling you what to press for which action. Check any of the linked videos for an example.

@powler - did you change any ini settings? It sounds like you set one lower than the min value. Min values are listed in the ini before it gets written to. To be safe, do not set anything lower than 5.

@powler that's the same error that I'm

getting with missions. Everything else

works perfectly in the mod except the

missions. I have the latest xlive,

scripthook.net as well as scripthook.dll

0.51. I'm running 1.0.7.0, I have no

other mods installed. My pc is low end

with 1.8ghz Intel dual core processor

E2160. 2gb ram, nvidia geforce 512mb

8600gt. Running windows 7 32bit. All

game graphics settings are set to low.

At least its not just me lol :-) i pc is prob mid i would say without giving specs etc im using the latest files to on 1.0.7.0 running enb with a few script but i did notice it says business mod v1 in the scripthook in game. Although i don't think that makes a difference lol :-) as soon as i can play it prop i will rate 10/10 because it is truly awesome :-)

Really odd...nothing happens even if I wait for a few seconds. Do I have to "acitvate" the script somewhere?

No it loads up when the game does. When you go to the green marker and wait a few seconds it should come up with the options etc, if nothing happens check through scripthook console and make sure there hadn't been any errors :-)

@powler, Franktenpenny - I get that error all the time as well. I am not sure what causes it, but I believe it has to do with using native function calls through the hook. However, this error has never (as far as I know) caused a crash of the game or script. Game crashes are usually caused by spawns. I play with all settings maxed + mods and only crash sometimes with the armoured truck.

@Franktenpenny - As I said, are you using car mods? These drain the system, and with only 1/2 a gig of vid mem, you are already taxing that card. I believe it is crashing during spawns, but need more information please.

I don't have any car mods nor any other type of mod except this one. What I have noticed is that during the majestic security mission, my game crashes just before the bikers show up. So if the bikers are able to spawn, the game doesn't crash.

@Prof_Farnsworth so i did a ambulance mission, security mission (for boat yard) and they seem to work fine, so i try a fuel mission and got this error after pressing "M" to start job -

Didnt crash the game straight away, it crashed after i got to the truck and after a barrol got blown up along with the truck.

Not quite sure why this was happening so i removed all scripts i had apart from this one and still kept getting error messages.

I have no car mods either, so i removed scripts and enb and still the same.... not sure what else to do??

trasher missions doesnt work :/ when i drive to the location and try to start the trasher missions with the M button my gtaiv.exe is shut down :/ any idea?

Hey, I'm having an issue with the mod. I've installed Scripthook.net for my GTA IV version 1.0.7 and I've added the files from your mod to the scripts folder. When I start the game and check the map for business they aren't there, however. Help would be great, thanks.

@ MakinMeCrazyMan Not sure why mate but they are quite small on the map though...

also make sure your using xlive or dsound files etc...

@Prof_Farnsworth i just done a garbage mission and worked fine, then as soon as i started a fuel job i got the same error as before along with the game crashing :(

However i must say the missions that i have done are brilliant :)

majestic hotel's job is also bugged or i dont know.. but i had the same problem... pressed M then my game crashed with gtaiv.exe has stopped working message :/

There is a bug for me with security job for majestic (while in car not heli) and thats when you spawn in the car your hovering and dont move, so i get out the car falls (bril) then the car drives off (not bril). Also with the garbage job i find there is not enough garbage pick ups and drivers a bit....well.....dumb lol

Please be patient though as Prof_Farnsworth is a good guy and he will correct what needs to when he can :) Thank you for reading.

NOTE:DO NOT EVER "RELOADSCRIPTS" THROUGH THE SCRIPTHOOK CONSOLE WITH THIS OR AN OF MY MODS. DUE TO SPAWNING OBJECTS, PEDS ,AND VEHICLES WHICH WILL BECOME LOST IN THE GAME WORLD CAUSING ALL KINDS OF GENERAL CRAPPINESS. IT IS BETTER TO LOAD THE SAVE GAME, ALWAYS.

@Franktenpenny - I will probably update this to allow you to choose 2, 3, or 4 bikes to spawn, for those who are experiencing crashes. This seems to be a persistent issue.

@Spyke91 - The garbage job crashing baffles me, as I have never seen a crash with it, unlike security and fuel recovery. I will try to replicate it. Is the modded heli the "maverick", or the modded bike the "nrg900"? These are the vehicles used in the security missions. If it is, it is likely that is crashing the game. Also what version are you using (game, scripthook.net, scripthook.dll, etc)?

@MakinMeCrazyMan - Did adding xlive solve your problem?

@powler - Do you ever "reload scripts" through the console? This could cause the floating car. As for the crash when the barrel blew, I would assume something else in the mod fired at the time which caused the crash. Is it repeatable? Where were you when the truck blew up (game world)? If I could ask, how much vidmem do you have on your card? I noticed more crashes when I only had 1GB than I do now.

@Prof_Farnsworth i do reload script through the console occasionally, i have 1gb video memory but because i use enb settings are low for better performance, view distance and detail are equal at 20 and car density is 15 if any of this is relevant? The crash on the fuel job generally i do it on the first island but it crashes no matter where i am :-( The security job at the majestic hotel the car is always hovering if your riding in it. Generally after starting a fuel job the error happens but doesn't crash all the time and the truck loads with the people and barrels then if a barrel blows up that's when it crashes. Thank you for your continued support and patient is what i will be :-) but i did notice in the console it says its business mod complete v1 (something like that) not sure if that's relevant? Hope all this helps you in some way :-) thank you for reading.

powler - So does the car float if you just load a game and go straight to the hotel? I have only seen that when reloading scripts. I may just have to lighten the load, maybe a light version of the mod with less spawns, etc.

DrDetroit - Glad you enjoy it. I had considered that as an option, as it may be useful to sell off a number of small ones to buy a larger business. There will still be updates to this mod, so that may be included in the future.

tookay02 - I need more information in order to help you. See powler's posts for an idea of what to include.

ATK17 - Thank you. I am using CryENB Next by Fabriciuz which can be found on this site. It is somewhat old, but gives me the best FPS with all settings maxed. I do change a few settings, such as night lighting and adaptation, but can't remember exactly what. If you use it, I can PM you a copy of my settings file if you like.

modded heli is the annihilator from the Movie Cars mod :) the jurassic park jet.

modded bikes are: zombie from the ghost rider mod, bobber 2013 Harley Davidson Softail Fat Boy v1.0

no more bikes or heli modded :)

@prof_farnsworth when i go to the hotel there is no car outside so i go in press m to start shift , then teleport in the car out the front in the air. Even if i load the game again and repeat the process again happens again.....

I think your idea could work buddy :-) very sorry to keep reporting errors though i know your doing your best to resolve the issues :-)

Hey... Please keep updating this mod. This is one of the best mods for gta, because you can literally have every other mod in the game, and then come back to this mod and it just does you right. This seems like it shouldn't really be a mod, but a part of the game that the developers put in gta in the first place. This mod is actually better than the things you can do during the missions in the game. Hope you keep working on this mod and not give up on it.

Spyke91 - The first mods I would try removing are ELS and LCPDFR. Big City Life may cause issues simply due to the number of blips it creates. As I said, I have never had it crash at the garbage truck, so let me know if that helps.

powler - I spawn some unnecessary peds when riding in the client vehicle. I will remove them and maybe you can test it? Also, when riding in the escort chopper, does the job work correctly? I have also found an issue when starting and finishing jobs that could cause the script to crash, which will be fixed in an official update. I appreciate the feedback, so no worries.

I will be more than happy to test it for you and report bugs errors etc.

As for the jobs working correctly, i would love to say yes but still waiting to complete as they are a challenge lol but i like that makes it more real :o).

This is a really cool script and if possible would be awesome to see more garbage to collect :o)

Hey I sent you an email, but figured this might be faster. I'm having trouble getting the script to work. I place both files into the scripts folder. I do have it on steam, so I was wondering which folder to place the files in, since there is the Rockstar Games folder and the steam gtaiv folder. I did try both and neither worked. I do have the icenhancer 2.1 mod, battlefield gun sounds mod and a weapon skin mod. DO I need to download any programs to make it work? Thanks, seems like an awesome script and I really want to try it out.

powler - Yes, the new jobs are much harder than the originals. I will try to add more models to the garbage truck job, to see if it will find more trash. I only use trash found around the city, so some areas have more than others (eg. Bohan has a lot).

THEBEARJEW - You will need scripthook.net 1.7.1.7, scripthook.dll, and I use xliveless.

midfielderbille - Thank you, glad you enjoy them.

Spyke91 - Are you certain it is incompatible with LCPDFR? I would love some tests for compatibility. Also, you could keep the mod in for businesses, and not do the problematic jobs. If you have found the exact conflict, please let me know.

Hi,

unfortunately I face several glitches and bugs with this mod.

1. Security job ends up in a frozen helicopter. No movement possible.

2.When I try to work as a garbage collector the screen goes black with a "loading..." message in the lower right corner and it stays like that. I've been waiting for a minute.

3. Delivery customers are spawned at ridiculous places like in the middle of a bridge.

4. Working as a toxic waste driver is also bugged. The vehicle cannot be moved.

5.suicide_frequency = 0 does not work because you have set the min value for the random generator to 1 in this line of code

if(this.rand.Next(1, this.suicide_frequency) == 2)

which causes an Exception.

That's all for now as I haven't tested the other options yet.

P.S.: All listed issues except for the fifth are with TBOGT.

I just tried the mod with the base game but it's not much different.

1. Garbage collector: Nico stands on his platform on the vehicle but the vehicle itself don't move and it floats about 2ft in the air.

2. Security job: (I changed the setting to car) vehicle don't move and floats about 2ft in the air.

Haven't yet tested any further.

I can't understand this mod has been featured. Not only that it's full of bugs. No it's the biggest piece of spaghetti code I have ever seen and it even has sixfold redundancies!

Cyron43 - Disabling suicide jumpers is incorrectly described in the ReadMe and ini. Thank you for pointing that out. I do not have the Episodes so I cannot test their compatibility, as stated above. Delivery customer spawns are random, thus their improbable location at times.

Unfortunately, I cannot reproduce any of the issues you are reporting. I have had one other report of a floating car, and am trying to lighten the load, so to speak, but all of the jobs work as expected on my system. Maybe you have light specs?

I do not appreciate your final comment however.

Am I a professional software developer? * no.

Did I learn a lot of this over the time it was written? Yes.

Do I have time to rewrite all code that is redundant? Not now.

The point is, just because you can't figure out how to get it working, don't have a tissy over here. Maybe it was featured because it is an original creative mod with a lot of features.

I didn't post in "Person Transport" how unoriginal the taxi idea is, or how it's been done over and over, or how even that basic mod was crashing for a lot of people, including myself.

Have some respect for yourself and others please.

I apologize and I mean it. I decompiled your mod yesterday to go bug hunting but when I saw the code structure I gave up. I wanted this mod to work so badly because I think the ideas are superb. This yearning on one hand and the code on the other hand was a combination which made me upset.

About my mod: I don't know when you downloaded it. I made several improvements and bug fixes over the time. It has been thoroughly tested by Yoshiko (thanks a lot man) and me and it's the most stable now after the latest build which I uploaded just yesterday.

And by looking at the rating of 8.58 it can't be so bad. Maybe you give it another try.

EDIT: It even has been featured now. Yay! :-D

Cyron43 - Thank you, I know the code is all over the place, but at the very least, it makes it harder to steal. Ideally, I plan to rewrite it in SCO, but when, who knows.

I don't mind helping people solve the problems, to that note, I have only seen floating cars when reloading scripts through the console. I cannot recreate this issue otherwise, so I am not sure why you and a couple of other people are having this happen.

When should the mod actually start, where the icons begin appearing on the map to purchase a business?

I just unlocked the second island, but I haven't seen any icons to purchase property. Are there any prerequisites that need to be met before a business will show up on the map to be purchased?

Cyron43 - Native GTA script format = SCO

pixelUNLIMITED - Nothing is needed to trigger the mod. Even with a new game, you should be able to see all of the businesses on the map right from the start. If not, something is wrong. Please check to see that the script is loaded in the console (~). There is also a message on the screen when loading a game. Also make sure you have both the .ini and .dll in your scripts folder.

Hello! I think this mod of yours is just awesome! It's fantastic! It's should be used by everone!

If it's possible that you might give some adivices for your mod? i have just bought Persious, and i use 6 employees but i found my income critically low. 108-2000$ So my question is that can u give us a few tips to get thinks done? For example, how many employes are needed to run each busissnes properly, and etc. Or on what depends the income of each busissnes? Any info could be rly usefull, cos after spend my cash buying businesses around the city i stucked!

trekgod1 - Should work on 1.0.4, 1.0.7, and EFLC, though I have had conflicting reports about EFLC compatibility.

markfreeman - Employees generally add income to the business. ie. they make more than you pay them. Each businesses income however, varies weekly. So while one week you may be making 110% income, the next week may be only 5%. So you may need to fire some employees if you are losing money at a business. Keep in mind whether they have a signing bonus though, and whether it would cost more than you are losing to hire them back. Businesses can go into the negative, and you can just leave them until they make money again. The weekly revenue change also correlates to when you bought the business, so unless you bought them all on the same day, they will change at different times. Remember to keep an eye on properties you own.

Hey, I seem to have a problem (either that or i'm missing something)

When I'm trying to do delivery missions, it doesn't initiate properly; it all works well untill it shows the delivery truck marker. When I enter the truck, it doesn't trigger the delivery (customer blip doesn't appear on the map). Do I need to press an extra key or something?

You should not need to press any key. The marker should automatically appear and time should start ticking down.

I feel like the most stupid gamer ever.. I can't get this thing working no matter what I do.

I have installed Scripthook 1.7.1.7 and xliveless 0.997. To test, I installed icehancer 2.1, which works. But this business mod does not.

I'm on the Steam version of GTA IV on Windows 8.

I turned the cinematic view off for the garbage collector job and since then whenever i try to start a shift there the game crashes.

OlaHaldor - Icenhancer does not need scripthook to work. Do you have any other script mods working?

Not sure if anyone asked this or not, but if one or more of your businesses gets robbed, is there a way to either stop the robbing, or go after them yourself to recoup the lost revenue and perform some vigilante justice in the process? I would hope so, so you can also get a rep for a businessman not to be messed with. ;) Anyway, just hoping to hear back on that. Thanks, awesome mod!

Myth34 - When robbed, you are notified via a message at the top of the screen. You then have a limited amount of time to get there and stop the thieves or they will escape with the money. If you get there and there are cops around, you can let them help you if you want.

This mod freezes the mission where you have to kill iassac in the majestic hotel when you are working for Ray. The people just stand still in the hotel and they won't attack you and they remain invincible. It also has lots of bugs.

yoshiko - I haven't tried that mission with this on yet. You can just remove the script for the mission then place it back in after. Care to elaborate on "lots of bugs"?

Seemingly this mod crashes my game... :S I bet it's probably because of another mod being active at the same time, I have a couple. Not too many though, and nothing too crazy, so it's kind of strange. Anyway, still quite like it though.

I was wondering if you could make a script to utilise NCTRenegade's trailer mod? I know nothing of scripting apart from just how comlpex it is, but thought you might be able to edit the car delivery part of this script and maybe incorperate part of your armoured car hijack script to create trucking missions?

@aj0890 - Lower values increase the likelihood of events happening. Try setting robbery_frequency to 10, and lunatic_frequency to 5 to see the effects more often.

@tango2 - What is not saving? Are you saving at a safehouse before quitting the game?
