No Clouds effect to Fix the Red Sky Bug !!! WTF!!!

You renamed rage_atmoscatt_clouds in gta_atmoscatt_clouds to fix this issue !!! If you look far you will see another bug : The Long Dark Line that Circle the City.

You Settings need a lot of Work but you are in the right Way. Good Luck ;)

1.0.7.0 ?
Posted on November 18, 2011 10:36AM by Laak
@ P1ch3, thats because far clip is gigantic 10000. Thats why there is strip on horizon. Can't go over 4000.

I get badly messed up lighting with shaders after 1060. But car shadows after 8pm are fixed there. I wish somebody would combine old shaders with shadows fix. Not to mention that most of those modified shaders by somebody are crashing game for me. Unfortunately mixing shaders files redneck way is just not cutting it.

please make a video about this :)
Posted on November 18, 2011 12:58PM by sleepy93hun
@ mina, sorry some of the instructions in the readme are leftover from old versions. I'll fix that.

@ P1ch3, the included readme file explains the fix and its side effects. No need to make a fuss about it here.

@ tall70, the black band on the horizon is caused by the fix but decreased by raising the farclip and also by DOF blurring. Trust me, there is a visible difference on that horizon line between 4000 and 10000.

Update, version 1.5.1 - MAJOR changes to timecyc.dat, added visualsettings.dat to remove ground glows from traffic lights, other aesthetic adjustments, reorganized folder structure - all in all a complete visual overhaul.

working patch 1.0.7.0 ?
Posted on November 20, 2011 7:33AM by Chalenger911
It says 1.0.7.0 in the title. And in the description. And in the readme. And now here.

Yes. It works on 1.0.7.0.

thx

I'm not really sure what black band u referring to since u saying it's decreased by higher farclip value. But when i experimented with farclip before enb was developed, there was tiny strip on horizon in between ocean and sky if i had fc about 5000. 7000 fc gave me good quarter inch band there. With 4000 fc i had no band when i was with heli up high above skyscrapers. DOF was unchanged back then. Because i'm playing with my timecycle since this game was out, i can't just replace it with somebodyelse's. But i do test others timcycle files from enb packs just so i can be sure mine is not the problem. If this solves somebody's problems, then good. Otherwise never mind.

Make a backup of your installation, including your timecyc.dat file, and give my mod a try.
Posted on November 20, 2011 2:21PM by chinagreenelvis
yay 1070 comptible, nice!

one of the things the 1040 ones have is much more realistic sky domes and clouds and stuff, maybe try some of them in the next version? keep up the good work
Posted on November 20, 2011 4:39PM by duffman
Part of what makes this 1070 compatible is the substitution of the ENB skydome with the normal GTA IV clouds. Otherwise, you get the occasional red skies problem that Boris refuses to work on fixing.
Posted on November 20, 2011 10:32PM by chinagreenelvis
really good work and the fact that we can customize is very cool but what value i had to change if i want more shiny car ?
Posted on November 22, 2011 10:59AM by janusantsky
You can see the purpose of all the options in enbseries.ini here: http://gtabay.cba.pl/index_dokumentacja_gta4_en.htm

The options for vehicle body reflective amounts should still be applicable to 1070 and EFLC.

ok wtf is this foulder that is on my desk top with your name file but is white with the inter net logo it wtf bud why cant i remove this fucking folder
Posted on November 25, 2011 9:32PM by doc_martin
What.
Posted on November 25, 2011 11:57PM by chinagreenelvis
For anyone reading this, I should tell you that the "red skies fix" will probably only run well on very good systems. I have quad-core/GTX 580 and it doesn't slow me down, but if you're running with much less you might have issues. I'm sorry. The only other solution is for Boris to make ENB fully compatible with EFLC and the latest GTAIV updates.

Posted on December 4, 2011 5:54AM by janusantsky
please can you explain this value

float ShiftSamplingRange=0;

float SamplingRange=1; //sharpening or blurring range

float SharpeningAmount=1;

float ScanLineAmount=0.0;

float ScanLineRepeat=1.0;

float NoiseAmount=0.15;
Posted on December 4, 2011 7:16AM by janusantsky
The best way to find out is to play with them during gameplay. You can ALT+Tab out of the game or use the Windows key to bring up your desktop and edit the file, then go back into it and see the differences.

Basically, the two most important are SamplingRange and SharpeningAmount. SamplingRange is best kept low, otherwise you get a muddy image. NoiseAmount fills the black areas of the screen with static, presumably to help with contrast issues.

ok i just want to say a big thank you because we can change a lot of parameter with what you have done so really thank you to share it
Posted on December 4, 2011 6:56PM by janusantsky
My pleasure, man. ENB is all about customization, and I'm all about compatibility.

Update, version 1.6.1 - Edited enbpallete.bmp, enbeffect.fx, and timecyc.dat for better and more balanced contrast, removed blue distance haze from Extra Sunny at night
Posted on December 4, 2011 9:06PM by chinagreenelvis
Update, version 1.6.2 - Added visual presets "Default", "Bloomy", "Crisp", "Dustbowl", "Fight Club", "Ice", "Noir", "Tangerine Nightmare", and "Vintage"
Posted on December 5, 2011 2:42AM by chinagreenelvis
Update, version 1.7.0 - Reorganized folder structure (again) and removed unneccesary shader files, re-added support for patch 1.0.4.0, imported high quality DOF from Raigen's ENB, fixed a problem with bloom adding color after desaturation, added SMAA, tweaked a few settings and updated visual presets
Posted on December 6, 2011 4:48AM by chinagreenelvis
Update, version 1.7.1 - Removed SMAA, changes to sunny-windy weather
Posted on December 6, 2011 6:29AM by chinagreenelvis
Good to know that there are more people besides Vulgadrop or P1ch3 that offer support for 1070.

This ENB is really nice, except for the black line on the horizon that makes me prefer the red sky bug... Have you tried the Openbeta of Dpeasant3? this maybe help you make some improvements.

Thanks for this amazing ENB and the regular updates ;)

I can see no one really cares anymore bout mods on here...since this thread bit is a year old.

I just wanted to say... This is by FAR THEE BEST ENB I have used. All times of day and all weather looks great. Not to bright not to dark.

Thanks alot for ur hard work.

Just wanted to say that this page is outdated, though it's the first one I made and it's glad to see that it's on the first page of the highest rated misc mods on the site. Thanks to you guys for upvoting it, and thanks for using it. I'm glad I've made a difference for some of you who who use 1070 and EFLC and were as dissatisfied with the other ENB mods as I was.

Version 5 is up now, same download link (all of my mod pages have the same text file to the url) and hopefully it's the last one I'll need to release. I'm honestly pretty satisfied with it since it seems to solve all of the major problems I've ever had.

So, those of you reading this can disregard most of the issues discussed above; they've long since been dealt with.

Enjoy!

how to install it?
Posted on January 27, 2014 11:25AM by CJCJ
one of my favourite ENB's at the moment. a few screenshots here:

https://www.facebook.com/jmp909/media_set?set=a.10153900397675402.1073741841.865375401&type=3

but could someone give me some advice please on how to tone down the bright lights on the streetlamps, car headlights and billboards? they're just a bit overly bright i think. you can stand under a light and get totally washed in colour.

anyway thanks CGE!
