Btw, iceleglace, if you dont mind, could you post or maybe write in the readme how we can get the graphic looking exactly like yours in the video? What other mods you use, the installation order, etc? I think it would help all of us, including me, to get the exact graphic like you have in the youtube video. Awesome work! Keep it up!
PS: Would be nice to have this for the latest patch and EFLC too!

During the boat scene when you start the game everything is overly bright, so bright that you can't even make out Niko's face.
Also it seems that in certain situations (most notably during night) that the character models faces and clothes look wet/slimy/glossy. There's also a strange diagonal scan line effect given from light sources when the camera is positioned in a certain way. Am I just having problems or are these settings intentional?

Is any program like MSI Afterburner or Rivatuner running, that conflicts with the d3d9.dll? This could cause the crash.

As Moonrail said, in case of crash just desactivate Afterburner and it will work.

####Regarding system requirements:####
I tested this mod with different system components. As we all know, GTA 4 needs cpu power more then gpu.
My current system:
AMD Phenom II X6@ 4GHz
2x XFX HD 6870 CF
Corsair 6GB DDR3 RAM @1100MHz
Corsair 650W PSU
GTA 4 (high settings, 1.0.4) + iCEnhancer 1.2.5 now runs about an average of 31,5 FPS. As a comparison, i got about 28 FPS with CPU @ 3,5GHz and 25 FPS with CPU @ 3,22GHz.
So i suggest to have a CPU with min 2,8 GHz core speed and i would suggest a quad core. Can't really believe a X2 would handle it good, maybe at low or middle settings.
But you still should have a good GPU, GTA 4 doesn't seem to take a high advantage of Crossfire, don't know how's about SLI. I would suggest a GTX 460 and higher (Nvidia) or HD 5850 and higher (ATI).

Many people here seems to have problems with the brightness using iCEnhancer 1.2 or 1.2.5. I had the problem too, in both versions. I resolved the problem by editing the GTA 4 in-game settings and using H1Vltg3 modification for iCEnhancer 1.2 and 1.2.5.

I've installed the mode and finally it works,BUT IT HAS TOO MUCH LAG.With only the patch 1.4 the game runs perfectly at max settings resolution 1600+ but after I put in the mode it's like my pc is exploding even at low setting with resolution 800x600.The blur motion kills it and all the reflections.That means it has to be another issue which cause this problem not my graphic card or CPU.Does any1 found a solution yet?

As soon as I kill afterburner, I can get back into the game no problem. Are you using steam or retail btw?

I just saw your latest message, it looks like I dont have the overlay display running anyway. Try that and maybe that will fix your issue. Keep us posted!
In other related stuff: Anyone have a fix for the red sky and the brightness fix? For H1Vltg3, I am currently using your modified ENB and it seems to be looking awesome so far, however do you think you can make the Subtle FOV version without motion blur? I hate motion blur and I have no idea how I can disable it (maybe if you tell me just disable from the option, I can try) without losing the DoF. Thanks!
Icenhancer makes my ELS lights SUPER BRIGHT.
The lens glare hurts my eyes.

open iceconfig in the GTAIV folder and change
[EFFECT]
EnableBloom=false
(its set to true be default.)

Read the readme and discover that it occurs with any ENB setting on patch 7/eflc. Back to 1.0.4.0 for you.

When I buy GTA on steam I thought that was the version 1.7.0.0 (the option to automatically update was on) but not at all. I stay in 1.0.0.0

You MUST turn up your GPU fan when using any ENB 0.82 based mods. Only 0.82 supports this DOF, FXAA PC, etc etc. :thumbs up:
also i have tried this mod in 1.0.7 here is my results: see gradation/fuzzys, sky turns red every now and then, it looks like nighttime in the hospital
all the time, the cabray club is now useles due to brightness issuses. it is so bright that they are literally white.

darkness is fucking awesome now it looks like a dark night and the city buildings stand out greatly due to their window lights.
although i have to say that if you lose your headlights it looks dark as shit. so it actually makes you want to drive safe.
other info: all tress looks nice but they are all green what happened to the reddish brown looking trees?

now as for the charcter looking glossy i have seen this and i actually like that effect and would love to see a mod
that makes the blood stains on nikos back after getting shot more wet/glossy looking.
it would make it look like real blood cause blood is a wet liquid not a dry spray of paint, which is what the orignal looks like.
as for the second thing he mentioned it leaves a afterimage and this is bad and a "No No" and can cause crashes if not taken care of. better fix that as quick as you can.
for those of you having a brightness issue there is a small fix that lowers the brightness but not by much

I also had flickers. I have an ATI Readeon HD 4500 with Anti Aliasing on.I read on some forum that if u disable it from the catalyst control center you will not get flickers. It worked for me! so try it!

Niko looks way to blurry for definition off, motion blur doesn't appear to work.
I've tried other scripthooks, reinstalled from fresh>1.0.4.0>Ice 1.2.5> NO OTHER MODS. still get a really ugly sun and sky.

Yeah its most definitely on. Not only is the sky very odd looking, but other effect don't appear to work. Like sun rays or motion blur. in fact disabling definition makes the whole thing just look poopy :(

for those who see the red sky here is all i can tell you.
the red sky is actually red boxes that widen or expand from certain areas . i found that at mannys place if you look into the sky there is a red box and if you turn to the right the box gets wider thus making the sky look red and if you turn to the left it gets expanded making the sky look red.
my suggestion for the creators of this mod is... if the boxes are neccessary make them higher in the sky to supposaebly make them unseeable.(this means if the red sky boxes is what presents certain effects)
if the red sky is not neccessary and is a problem. then locate all the red sky boxes in the sky you can and delete them. thus replacing the sky back to normal.
the only red sky benefit i have found and you people might think im crazy but at night the sky is reddsih toward ths bottom then is dark/black at top. and i think it looks nice. but the original night sky before this mod is blue towards the bottom then dark/black at the top.
I've heard people say to delete it if it causes issues, but at the same time its obviously meant to do something!
Its definitely a crucial file for ENB

Excuse my noobness. Trying to figure out all this ENB and icenhancer and all that.
Just wondering if it is possible to get the gionights enb and put these icenhancer lensflare on top of that?
The light itself stays on and you can still see around it but much less than before when the area was lit by ambient sphere.
I am using HD5870 Win 7 x64 1.0.0.4 and Icenhancer 1.25
The light poles where the camera is at are off on the ground but the others across the street are on lighting up the sidewalk and such.
If I walk over there the sidewalk goes darker but the light is still on at the top of the pole.
when i run this mod the game will lag pretty bad, i dont expect the same insanely nice graphics, but still..
i dunno if someone's already asked this, but how can i install 1.25 if i've got 1.3 currently installed? do i just paste the 1.25 files over the 1.3 files in the game's directory?
