Yaaaah. I'm really surprised at how well it runs on the "very high" setthing (GTX 580, but some of the other ENB mods are just RIDICULOUS, even on that. Haven't tried the Compu-cide setting yet). I think it's the fact that the motion blur hides the drops in framerate. I usually can't handle seeing under 27 or so, and immediately notice when it drops that low. Great job all around. I actually haven't gotten past the first several missions, because I keep looking for a mod I want to play through on. Finally found the mod to marry. BTW, I hope the developers of GTA V are paying attention to us modders who weren't pleased with the art direction of IV. Thankfully, the trailer does look less BROWN!

Ive installed it on a completely clean new 1.0.7, and my game crashes at 22:00 game time. Anyone knows what couse this? I just load my save, dont do anything, just see the clock on the phone, and when it reaches 22:00 game crash.

Tried to load another save, which is on night time, it crashed the game immidiately.

Honestly? Im used ultra high version and its nothing special - to many colors for me, and to bright. I'll give this few more chances but i think i'll return to my favourite giognights mod. ( of corse i must reinstall the game becose its replace some files that other enb does'nt replaces )

I just bought EFLC from the Amazon digital marketplace and tried to install this. For me the game gets stuck at the loading screen (TBOGT) Anyone have this problem or can help??

Outside not a problem, but for some reason cutscenes and whenever inside a room or building or anything like that, its so dark i cant even see.

It is worth a 10 even if I don't really like the dof but I'll just have to live with that. Know u did a non dof version but I still have the dof left, but maybe I used to it:) The best improvements from 1.3 is the withe colors and starjunktion, using VIVA new york mod and starjunktion is still ok:) Keep it up man, u r doing a great job.

ALT-TAB if too dark, or sun is too yellow like you don't have direct sunlight just "color."

Guys, every computer will display the game differently. Complaints such as "it's too bright" or "too many colors" are foolish. Change the settings in the ini files. Change the in-game settings. Change your monitor settings. Gionight ENB, which is still #1 IMO, looked terrible on my computer at first. 2 hours of tweaking later... :D. works only for 1.0.4.0.

@Jodeth I am using the no dof iceshader.fx that came with, but still there is dof but not as much as the others. Hopefully I get used to it, but don't know who it will look in videos.

But do anybody know why my framerate is so low, I want to be able to run the settings ice do but doesn't feel very good with under 20fps. Something has to be wrong?

I got 2 versions. One is the old one with 1.25 on it, if I put this version on it, it crash at 22h (same thing was happening with 1.30, I remember it had something to do with timecycles, so using 1.25 helped, but it just wasn't made for it). The other version is fresh install, and with 1.35 it doesn't cash after 22h, but the graphics go nuts unless I use dizzle, rainy or lightning weather.

I have some issues. When rainy or lighting weather the game will crash after a while. And, I can't turn the weather with trainer, it would crash too. I was using EFLCENB smoothly before I changed to this one. No way to solve it even after I tried to reinstall the game.

@mrali95 Try the link i posted. You will get more frames without dof, plus it looks better. All that blur really sucks for when you're actually playing the game; not taking screenshots.

Yeah I did and it works perfect, thx man u the best:) and after playing an hour my fps was like 35-60fps haven't experienced that before in any icenhancer only 25-40fps so sweet and graphics looks really good now. Will be posting pictures on my fb page soon.

In my case game crashes if i use different shaders on 1070. 1070 has shadows fix after 8:00pm and shadows in general with enb looks much better with this version, but unfortunately combination of this game version and older shaders is crashing my game. I tried combination of old shader files with 1070ones, but that makes shadows disappear completely. So i'm stuck with 1040 and no shadows after 8:00pm lol. I can't believe that Rockstar did not notice missing shadows until 1060 patch.

Ok if i replace the 1.35 timecycle files in /pc/data with the original ones, then the game is not crashing at 22h, but its so dark at night, i can barely see anything.

@LLD are you serious? If you're into modding then you have READ all info regarding backing up your game. I created the video by simply following ice's instructions. therefore, its not his fault now is it. Honestly, like anyone needs that crap on their shoulders. Its sickening attitude.

@H1Vltg3 pressing P doesn't work for me, don't know why. Didn't work on any of the dof settings that come with, my game has been acting quite weird for a while so theres a lot of strange things:)

I´m pretty sure that some of my problems is due to my downloaded savegame. I did install it after the patch and crack so it should work, but one of my problems in game is that everywhere there it´s supposed to be a bird there is a plane and when u touch it it disappears:)? Another problem is that it takes ages to load the game, the intro end a few seconds before the game has loaded:) But I think I'll might live with that, lol

Well its better than 1.3 but sticking with 1.25. The shaders work great with the 1.25 time cycle however its too damn blurry, even driving it makes my head hurt. If it was less blurry and the sky wasn't green or purple at times then it would be great. 8/10

No, no meter what i do. I have fresh install of gta 4 v1040 running on W7/64. My old enb mixed stuff works, but this one just not for some reason. 1040 makes just some lights little brighter but rest of the game looks like with no enb. In 1070 game crashes until i swap to original shaders. Then game comes on but enb does not function it all. Sad for me, have to go back to my old enb mix lol. Maybe has something to do with dx11.

- It looks so BLURRED a short-medium-long distance, and this DoF sucks.

- Interiors so DARK.

- Red Sky Bug.

- Sometime crash the game.

Conclussion: P1ch3 or Vulgadrop ENB's settings are so much better for v1.0.7.0 patch ;)

Aren't there better file hosting sites that don't flood with ads, demand payment for faster downloads, and all that? Just sayin'... But 10/10 for quality! how can I get the break and reverse lights to light up on the car so u can see it, because u cant really tell if the´re on or off right now. Same thing when u switch between half/full headlight, u cant see any difference on the car. In 1.3 u could but not reverse light, would be nice if that could be fixed or if somebody could tell in witch section of iceconfig.ini u can change it.

And can somebody tell in witch section u change the car reflection, because only some parts are reflected depending on how u look at the cars. If anyone could tell me how to fix it it would be great:)

I seem unable to use this with the Steam versions of both GTA IV and EFLC. Both games start, and get as far as the text screen, and then the game just crashes. Really don't know why, but it's very annoying.

Anyone managed to get this to work with Steam versions?

for people who thinks their immediate surroundings beyond a certain distance is very blurry, it is because of the depth of field. Just use the settings that disable depth of field. Don't worry as motion blur will still be available..

High-quality DOF looks AMAZING at night. It's ok in the daytime, but night time is film-worthy--especially going across the bridges, and a distant view of the city. If your machine can handle it, you should definitely give it a shot.

I liked your previous versions a lot but not enough to use them, amazing screen effects and such but what I haven't been liking is the lack of contrast in day light and it being too bright at day (And trees never having matching light or contrast with the rest of the world). I've managed to tweak those settings somewhat but never quite pleased me fully, let's hope this version fixes those "problems".

On a side note: fuck those people complaining about this not working properly on newer versions of iv, it's not meant to, it's not possible, iv 107 got higher limitations than iv 104, when will people realize that?

I've tried it out now and what can I say, I like the more options your supply but over all I think previous version are better. This version lacks a realistic sunlight (More yellow) and bloom I haven't noticed much of either. The IWANTMYPCDEAD settings or whatever was nice but still I'm not pleased because of the dull sunlight and lack of contrast, trees still also look odd and out of place. Either way good job on mod but it still needs some tweaking imo, at least if you want that realistic look I'm looking for, or that wonderful bloom sunlight contrast look or whatever to say. I'll try and tweak it my self but editing timecyc and shaders just seem so comprohensive, although I'll give it a try either way, I can get somewhere just editing the enb settings file and visualsettings.dat too.

I hope you enjoy some constructive feedback for once, people on this site usually just type some stupid comment and rate 1/10 or 10/10. Good luck with future versions, I look forward to them!

Thanks so much for this amazing mod.

I bought GTA IV for PC just for this mod.

You should charge for this – Just to make money back for all your time and effort. I’d definitely pay $10 for something this good!

I downloaded 1.35 and tried it with both 1.0.4.0 and 1.0.7.0 but both of them are un-playable at night – everything is just too dark.

Do you know what I can do to fix this ?

Go into the icesettings.ini file or whatever it's called. Go down to NightLightingIntensity and jack it up a bit. You can also increase the values for "LIGHT 2" which is mostly street lamps.

They should indeed Marc. Ice Enhancer is always the same, amazing screenshots, hopeless overblown impossible-to-see-anything-on-screen reality. Why ARE the lights about 400% too bright anyway? Who thinks thats good?

Why the makers of this undeniably cool mod dont just sort that out after thousands of forum posts and comments reporting the problem, and 3 full updates, i dont understand.

plese make this compatible with EFLC 1.1.2.0(latest version), i installed everything as per instructions(even if knew that already had it - DirectX, .net4, ScriptHook, Filelist) and still it crashes right after the end of loading(after pictures stop and it says on the bottom loading xxxxxx). Removed all mods, clean install of EFLC 1.1.2.0, ScriptHook(ARU 0.5.1), Filelist.bak(from link in readme file) and copied all files over - crashes every time. Really wanted to try it out:(

Hello, im having problems i download this file and when it opens i see leet 1.0.4.0 and the one for 1.0.7.0 and i just copy everything inside of the im an mp player and throw it in my gta iv folder in my steamapps/common/grand theft auto 4/gtaiv folder when i load the game i hit start game, it does the little music then says starting new game then says cousin bla bla and i hear the guy screaming from having sex and it just crashes? no idea why? anyone mind helping me? i got a gtx 580. i7 920. 9 gigs of ram.. i should have no problem running this.. thanks!

ok i was able to get through a whole day without crashing, but nighttime was super dark. It's working if you dont copy over the pc/data folder which has the timecyc and the 4 timecycmodifier files. So i bet if u could manually play with them u might be able to make night a little brighter, i just have no idea how :/

I love this mod, best realism mod there is. Although Rain is glitchy but whatever. Sunny days look awesome. I do have a request for future editions, to incorporate a starry night into the skydome file. Like this mod:

I tried this with ice 1.35 on gta iv 1.0.4 and u cannot see stars at any time of the night. When i tried the night sky on EFLC using an ENB mod it worked so I think the effects from Ice cancel out the stars. Please add stars like these to the skydome file if possible.

Other than that Im loving GTA with Ice!

hello,

I have an asus laptop with Auto Switching (Geforce GT 540M/ Intel HD Graphics) , i7 2.2Ghz, 8g Ram , Win7 x64

the game runs smooth without the Mod on Geforce, but when i add the Mod it runs on Intel HD Graphic... can't change it even if i execute the game with precising nvidia as the main gc.

any ideas how to solve this issue ??

I got the game to run with the 1.35 mod, but as soon as the level loads, it starts like it wants to run with the effects, but then it flickers and goes very dark. This is during the day. The sun is out but light sources are like blacked out. I noticed headlights flicker on and off on cars. Any suggestions? I tried the alt-tab thing but it didn't help. i5 2500k @4.2GHz, 8GB GSkill ripjaws X, ASRock Extreme 4 Gen 3 P67, 2x EVGA gtx 560 (non ti)2GB sli.

I had that problem, but I think it was because I didn't install it right. You will probably have to reinstall. Make sure you choose the right set of files from the icenhancer file (104 or 107). Copy and paste each individual file into the main GTAIV folder. You don't need other net or asi loaders to run icenhancer. It has all required folders. Hope that helps.

the 1.3 was too bright and had a red sky glicht but at night it was just black couldnt see anything this one is just way too dark cant you guys just put 50% brightness and contast and the other one at 70% that will work perfectly.

I've got an issue where during missions or at the gun stores the entire screen except for the HUD will go black and the only way to get it to back to normal is to use Shift-F12 to disable the mod or minimizing the game and then reopening it.

I have the Steam version of the game downgraded to 1040 with xliveless enabled and I have and AMD Phenom Black Edition @ 3.2ghz and and AMD Radeon 6870 1GB graphics card on WIndows 7. Is there any fix for this?

I have GTA IV 1.0.4. version and I applied icenhancer 1.35 and i have motion blur and depth of field but the textures aren't as they should be. I mean they are the same as before...what is the problem? :S

posticas, disable in device manager onboard videocard. Or sometimes bios settings will let you select which one to use. So check out both. There should not be two devices performing one service anyway. In most cases this goes for software as well.

I try Gionights's Best ENB, but your mod is much better.

Only one question, how can i change the color saturation? For me is too vivid, and I dont want to change my monitor settings.

I use no DOF, and HiEnd settings and it works excelent.

don't forget to backup your game folder IV all of it it,s 15 to 16GB big just make sure you copy all of it just in case something goes wrong you just delete the corrupt IV folder and copy the backup the knew folder on it's place... simple.

its quicker than install the all game again Lol

To fix the File Fix error just delete it and also delete xlive.dll if you don't you will lose the text on your game start menu and to Fix the brightness settings it's ease just mix 3 picture mods with icenhancer 1.3 and you are for a visual treat wow ...use this 3 mods on top of the icenhancer 1.3 in this order -: first down load this from this site:

Hey, I'm using this on 1.0.4.0, as well as 2.1 config tool. I have edited a few settings myself. As you have said: The settings are ones you like and people are obliged to edit to their preference.

I thought the sun was way to big, I have toned that down.

I have increased the angle of vehicle headlights, the outer cone angle was way to narrow ;) - Now it is on

OuterConeAngle 65.0

Looks more realistic IMO

I just wanted to say thanks for the mod icelaglace.

I am still editing and I am starting editing Timecyc.dat today, now that I have learnt how to haha.

But yeah 10/10 for your work and effort but 9/10 personally for your settings, personally. I am still rating 10/10 on the site haha. Not that it'll make much difference.
