V1.1 : I reduced the glitch where the engine would start cycling through 3 sounds after a few minutes or driving. It is still there but much less noticeable. You may hear it when releasing the accelerator at high speeds.

Here's my second mod so far:
Mitsubishi Lancer EVO sound mod.
It changes the Lokus engine sound.

Replace 4_CYLINDER_SALOON_1.ivaud into:
Rockstar Games/Grand Theft Auto IV/pc/audio/sfx/STREAMED_VEHICLES.rpf
(I used sparkIV to replace it)

You may modify my mod, or upload it to an other website, but PLEASE credit me, and keep my ReadMe file in the archive. Thanks. Replaces: 4_CYLINDER_SALOON_1.ivaud

VERY IMPRESSED.

This is a very nice job you did. Have you explored other car sounds additions to GTA IV? It's very hard finding realistic, well made vehicle sound mods.

Is it possible to use this sound for other 4-Cyclinder vehicles in GTA IV by simply renaming the file or?

@2TimesACharm, if you want the sound for like sultan for example, change the last ''sultan'' in vechicles.dat into lokus. Can someone make a Lamborghini Murcielago sound mod? These subarus and mitsubishi sounds are boring...

@247 Don't worry i know what sounds are sounding close to reality or not. Been playing the games for a decade ;) PLus i don't pick all my sounds from GT. I first try to find real sounds, and only if i can't do i go to GT.

@2TimesACharm Thank you. And as Xquu said, you can change the engine in the vehicles.dat.

@Xquu I can try to make a Lambo sound (and i wont use GT since it doesn't have Lambos x) ) But it might take some time since finding people that rev their engines at a constant RPM for a second is rare.

@Carrythxd i know but i don't have access to the sound files of that game. However i can hack the engine sounds from any other GT. THough, looking through 13 000+ sound files for just the right one takes some time.

Hi I'm new here and will try to type nice comment for your mod.

And it seems that i'm the only one who crashes my game as i spawn the car with Lokus sound. Btw i have w7 64-bit Amd Phe II X4 Ati Radeon HD5770 w/ ENB and several car/sound mods. And i'm just a guy that does only replace add some scripts does no requests and be thankfull to you because non else haven't triëd a good(i think) 4_CYLINDER_SALOON_1 sound before, Peace

@L0V2XLR8 Hey, thanks for the comment, i have gotten that crash glitch too, which i only got to stop by re-entering the 4_CYLINDER_SALOON_1 in the streamed file. Try that and tell me if it worked. If not, i'm sorry but i don't know how to fix that :(

@Submaniac93 thanks for your response, so i need open sparkiv and import 4_CYLINDER_SALOON_1 again and then it will work ?? or...

Maybe i have 2 many soundmods in my gta and the Zonda F/Cinque Sound by sahawx2 didn't work either for me. That soundmod sould be fixed for FAST_4 that would be awesome for my gta.

The Evo i used replaces the Feroci. But you just need to set the engine of the car you want to sound like this with the Feroci engine.
