Do you wanna work on a mod with me? "GTA V Engine Sounds for IV"

I'm hoping it will be me, you and RSR_Commander :)

Btw, this mod is awesome - 10/10 from me. Would sound even better with "Real Broken & Smash Glass Sounds" by GTAEU-MODS, but I can't import his glass sounds into your COLLISIONS.ivaud :( maybe you could talk to him and.. Mix both your mods into one?

The gear shifting and the handbrake sounds are as if I am driving a truck. All the other sounds are very good.

Rated: 9/10

@CallMeJayy Yes! I would like to work in a mod like that. I wanted it but i dont have any GTA V disc to extract the files. Now that openIV can read and extract GTA V files it would be perfect to start porting these sounds. This mod has already GTAEU-MODS' sound mod mixed with my one!

@Im Watching You yes I wasn't really sure about these. I will change them in a new version!

These are the programs I used so far (so anyone can start modding them)

Audacity: To record, fadding and cut sounds to fit ingame

Ego Audio Tool: to open and extract DIRT3 sound files

IV Audio Toolbox: the only program that can open and edit compressed ivaud files (thanks to GTAEU-MODS for helping me to point it out)

OpenIV: to replace files

I have the GTA V Disks and I can extract files from them, only problem is I can't decrypt a encryption key from the default.xex. I've already tried "xextool -b default.exe -i default.idc default.xex" .. Nothing happens. If you can use OpenIV to open the files, I'll get the Engine Sound files from GTA V and send them to you?
Posted on June 1, 2014 12:52PM by CallMeJayy
Try downloading openIV 2.0 from his webpage and try to open it with it. You can also export it to wav with the same program. I will try to get a ps3 disk tomorrow!

I have the latest version of OpenIV, the problem is the only way to open GTA V Xbox 360/PS3 Files is if you have an Encryption Key.. Which is complicated. The Encryption Key is different for Xbox 360 and PS3, it can be extracted from the default.xex on Xbox 360 or EBOOT.BIN on PS3.

Xbox 360 RPF7 Encryption Key:

0xA1,0xE7,0x29,0x39,0x5D,0x8A,0xD1,0x0B,0x9B,0x7B,0xD0,0x11,0xD5,0x28,0x69,0x3D,0x96,0xE2,0x2B,0xD6,0xA2,0x8A,0xAB,0xAE,0xB4,0xA6,0x9A,0xC6,0xF9,0x73,0x62,0x7F

PS3 RPF7 Encryption Key:

0x85,0x13,0x6E,0x1E,0x37,0xFC,0xBC,0x45,0x94,0xE7,0xF7,0xBC,0x5F,0x18,0x52,0x00,0xB3,0x2A,0x67,0x30,0x8C,0xC1,0xB8,0x33,0xB3,0x2A,0x67,0x30,0x8C,0xC1,0xB8,0x33

The Format comes out like this > Key.dat, but OpenIV needs Encryption_Key.bin to open GTA V Xbox 360/PS3 files.. See my problem? I just use other tools to extract files then view them & export textures, but its all much more work than just simply using OpenIV

What about the damage on the pictures? How did you get the bumper to bend like that?
Posted on June 1, 2014 4:35PM by BisharpVercetti
BisharpVercetti | That would be a Handling.dat mod to increase the Vehicle Damage :)

Something like this: http://www.gta4-mods.com/misc/gta-tlad-realistic-car-damage-mod-f28059

COOL MAN.. I'm so excited!! I will rate 10/10 no doubt..

Perfect! Anyway, GTA V sound engine is different than what IV does with his cars. In GTA V, the sounds are heavly based in what type of transmission have the car, what type of car is (Hatchback, sport car, truck etc), how is the terrain in where you're driving and a lot of other things while in GTA IV is just based in 5 sound emitters (Engine HIGH and LOW, Exhaust HIGH and LOW) and Idle Loop and the sounds just changes when you change gears. So the goal is to have a closer experience as in GTA V, trying to emulate sounds that GTA IV can't handle. So that is! I'm waiting for the files to start with them!

Currently using Windows 7 Home Edition x86, need to upgrade to Windows 8.1 Professional x64 for better performance but I keep getting errors. Been working mainly on just getting my computer to work properly, seems to work fine then just go really slow for about 10-15 minutes + everything freezes (not responding), then goes back to normal. I can't work like that, I don't know what's causing my computer to slow down so much. I know about un-installing apps, toolbars and all that stuff but I already know what I'm doing. I only have a few programs installed, firefox for my browser, gta iv, and the tools I use to mod.. Anyway hopefully I can fix this problem then we can start working

You should upgrade to 8.1 update 1 Pro x64. I already have it and it's much smoother and secure than Windows 7, as Microsoft Security Essentials (aka Windows Defender) is embedded in every inch of the OS. Also, better drivers are compatible and battery consumption is much more long than before. Currently i have a Hewlett Packard Pavilion DV7 4825dx with W8.1.1 installed on it and works like a charm, even when HP says that it's doesn't supported, installing drivers from another close-to-same laptop with Windows 8 Support and you will be able to start working on it. Before if you doesn't want to loose all your settings, donwload ADWCleaner and CleanUP and let them work. It will delete any kind of malicious programs! Good luck!

Posted on June 7, 2014 11:18AM by Wiebrendh
Sounds a little bassy to me. Also the cars in Dirt are... well mostly made of plastic material as its lighter. So the sound isnt 100% correct but still good. I like the skidding sound!
Posted on June 20, 2014 1:35AM by ADMIRAL-500
Great sound mod man!

What tire skid sound are you using? I added these files but it didn't include it so I had to use a different one.

10/10
Posted on July 5, 2014 10:31AM by Hamisxa
The Tire Skid sounds are from Dirt 3 and they're included too! Maybe you did'nt replaced it ;)

Tested in EFLC and there is no new tire skid sound here. maybe you forgot to add the file when you uploaded? Is it not compatible with EFLC maybe?
Posted on October 22, 2014 10:37PM by InfamousSabre
@InfamousSabre @RamboV: I searched through the files of the game (IV AND EFLC) and I see that the tire skid sound is NOT included in the mod.
