If you can't run the installer, you might need .NET Framework 2.0. Also, Windows Vista and newer users need to "Run as Administrator". Installer has also ability to back up files. Backed up files are stored in a folder called "ProjectRAGE Backup" in directory of GTA IV/EFLC.

@drawning, I got it to work once but I had to delete the gtaiv folder in my appdata/local folder but then changing anything in the graphics options like bringing the view distance from 21 to 22 would cause the game to crash then I had to reinstall all over again, but running rage at the auto settings looked 10x worse than the modified egre mod I'm currently using.

-8GB Ram Memori

It works perfect in my pc, but i have got gome errors, because ussing 1450MB video, my pc slows, and the road textures don't appears, what i must to do? Thanks everybody

If you have crashes please download "Update 1" if you also have 1.0.7.0.

Also ENB and Xfire conflicts because they use the same DLL file (d3d9.dll) to inject to the game. So, if you use Xfire, open Xfire and go to Tools>Options...>Games>GTA IV/EFLC and please check "Disable Xfire In-game"

I agree with you, we'll improve the sidewalk textures (so an update will be released). If you don't really like it, go to GTA IV/EFLC's root directory. You'll see a folder called "ProjectRAGE Backup". Setup backs up the files and stores there. Then, copy the files and paste it to the root directory. Now, you're able to re-install without Texture Pack.

This did not work on 1.0.7.0, it just made it crash. even after installing the update. And as far as I know, there is no uninstaller so now I have to reinstall GTA IV.

Have you ever used ENB?

Make sure you have installed it to non-modded GTA IV/EFLC, if so, make a clean install.

And it only backs up files for now, please copy and paste the backup to the root folder of GTA IV/EFLC and delete following files:

corona.png

d3d9.dll

effect.txt

option.txt

ragebloom.fx

rageclouds.fx

rageclouds.png

rageconfig.ini

ragedetail.dds

rageeffect.fx

ragemoon.tga

ragemoonbump.tga

ragestars.png

how do you get shadows?? I have the newest version of the game, and I can't "downgrade" the game to 1.04 patch partly because it won't let me and partly because I have the police mod and it only works with the newest patch

Well thank you for you're help. my GTA was modded. and thanks for the instructions on how to remove, but i'm already reinstalling. But I will try it again when It's done. I'll hold off on rating until after i try it on the fresh install.

@PythEch: Well, since the blue brick sidewalks are a preference, I'm not gonna rate the mod on that alone, but does anyone else have the overlapping skid/tire marks?

Well I just tried it on a fresh install, and still no luck. Still crashes.. I ran the installer, then applied the patch for 1.0.7.0, and like I said, still crashes on load. Am I doing something wrong?

finally got it to work, my problem was related to night shadows being on, anything besides off would cause it to crash, though my game still looks nothing like the screenshots.

finally got a graphic mod to work on my EFLC, thank you. I have a few questions, first - will there also be a taxi bug if I install the car mod packs? second - this has been the question in every graphic mod for EFLC, is there a fix for the red sky bug? third - how do I install another road texture? like DK road textures? is it available for EFLC?

Update 2 for GTA IV 1.0.7.0, this update is independent from Update 1, so you can also install Update 2 after Update 1 or; install Update 2 without having installing Update 1 at all:

- If you have a fresh install you don't have red sky bug. If you still have so, after the update it seems fixed. Our tests validated it.

Thanks for the quick reply, I've just updated it and the red sky bug is now gone.

as for the other road textures, got any idea where I can paste the road textures image file? I can't find a gtxd.img file anywhere in the EFLC directories, sorry for being such a noob.

and lastly, how do you get it to look like the screen shots above? i modified the rageconfig.ini file but I can't get anywhere near the screen shots.

We used GTA IV 1.0.4.0 (and seems better than all) and 1.0.7.0 on Screenshots. I didn't purchase EFLC, so I really don't know what is the problem. But at least as I know, especially EFLC and partly 1.0.7.0, has difficulties with Graphic modding.

I'm very happy with the Graphics Mod even though I have 8800GT on 1.0.7.0.

ok here is what I got using the patch 2 on 1.0.7, night shadows no longer crashes the game but I had to use the road textures from better city textures mod to fix the sidewalks and most of the streets, trees look pretty cartoonish even with contrast, brightness and saturation turned all the way down

I installed it but i crash whenever I move my screen. If i just stand still niko does his still animations rubbing his hair etc. But the second I move the screen it crashes. Can anyone help? And XAFAfterShock, where did you get patch 2?

i had the same problem til i installed dsound.dll , xlive.dll then it worked fine, shame people dont mention you need such files they assume we all know about it, even though it looks different on my 1040 version, the 1070 version has extra bright cut scenes, the other doesnt, thats how it is on my pc anyway

well, not working for me, crashes after it loads a game. Part that does this is somewhere amongst the shaders (folder) this mod replaces. When I restore that folder to original, game works but all is white. 1.07 patch, using xlive.dll (ICE enhancer read me file said that we should not use xlive and dsound.dll together, so I am confused on that matter.). ICEnhancer works btw but it has bugs with 1.07 patch, but it doesn't crash the game.

If the game is too dark in some areas after installing this mod, change the following value in rageconfig.ini under [ADAPTATION]:

Change ForceMinMaxValues=false to ForceMinMaxValues=true. Hit Ctrl+S, close ini, and play. Hope this helps :)

If the game crashes for you, theres some things you can do

First, make sure your running the game as an Administrator!

Second, right click your GTA IV directory and click on "details" then see if the "Read Only" box is ticked. if it is, untick it and press Apply. Now run as admin and game should work! :D

This is WORTHLESS! dont download this bull sh*t, waste of fuck*ng time your better off installing your own mods or someone elses. Okay isnt this what it says!? 'Project RAGE works with GTAIV V1.0.4.0 - 1.0.7.0, EFLC v1.1.2.0!'. Installed a fresh copy of GTA IV version 1.0.7.0 and ran the game, before i even knew about this mod, it worked, than ran the game right before i was gonna install this mod, it worked ok, now i install this mod, texture pack etc excepte car packs cuz link didnt work, directed me to some spyware bullsh*t, well anyways installed it and the game now crashes everytime i start it, now i have to go back and uninstall/reinstall it becuz this.
