Real weapon damage & ammo v1

This modification will increase weapon damage to an realistic amount, which will add immersion to the game, the mod will also force you to act more realisticly, like not going guns blazing, actually take cover to avoid getting hit. Saving your buddies on a mission so they don't get hit. The mod will make the guns feel more powerful, like real guns. Also the ammo capacity is changed to a more realistic amount, also the amount you can carry. Replaces: Weaponinfo.xml

Damage looks good in the video. Will give it a try.

Did you modify rate of fire, ammo count, weapon to object damage AND weapon to ped damage or some other combination of changes?

I did modify the rate of fire to the automatic weapons to a more realistic amount. About the objects I did increase to vehicles if you and others think that's to much I will release another version so far no issues / bugs has popped up for me. Hope you enjoy the mod.

Epic job, you did it so simple, but here are some suggestions for v2:

Glock 17:Damage Base:90 then Deagle is 110, deagle should be a bit more "120" or g17 should be a bit less "80"

the m4 damage should be more near to ak, or even equal based on your opinion

shotgun damage is extremely high, as you saw in the past shotgun damage, 20, you might have thought that it has less damage than a glock??? no, its just the damage of one pellet(though it sprays about 12 pellets, so it will be multiplied to that amount"120" you entered in normal mode"stock damages"), if it would be around 80 it will be more realistic and the baretta, sprays more pellets, based on your opinion, you can modify it yourself, your smg damages are much more realistic now, thanks for that.

It doesn't matter anyway I just wanted to give you ideas 88,000 downloads show that this is a huge mod, I'll give you a 10 by the way.

and about editing the rate of fires, you may see a game crash if you modify ak or m4's rate of fire, and for the cars not to explode too easily, reduce their weapon damage multiplier from 1.0 to 0.3

Thanks alot for your suggestions, I actually had a real struggle with the shotguns because I couldnt really decide. I really appriciate your feedback and I will think off this to V2. :)

Cool! Sniper Rifles look a bit under-powered at the moment but the mod's awesome nonetheless. Do you have any plans to add support for EFLC in a later version?

The sniper rifles are indeed under powered, but that will be fixed for V2. Also EFLC will be supported in V2. Thank you :)

BTW, as a basis of your upcoming v2 mod, I will share you the realistic WeaponInfo of mine from GTA IV and EFLC. Here's the link:

You should have know that the basis of your first mod is also same as robrabbitman's (as I look carefully on string lines). In my v2 of the mod, I made various tweaks, including increasing weapon range to the GTA San Andreas alike (you know, you can use assault rifle to take out the helicopter even at the longest distance in GTA San Andreas) and editing maximum clips to have 7 or 10 mags (but not like you to have real-life firearms damage). Anyway, download it and see for yourself. If you see fit, you can edit it anyway you like.

This mod started off great however when i was doing a mission & 4 bullets exploded my car when i drove away...was such a fail...any ideas on how to fix....cant play any mission where your running from ppl chasing and shooting at you.....rating pending...thank you

ATTENTION EVERYONE!!! i know how to increase the strength of vehicles so the guns wont rip through your car like toilet paper with this mod installed. You can still keep the weapon damage realistic towards people however!! message me if you need instructions!

@xenazfire in handling.dat, change the number in the first column after the car name.

Example:

BANSHEE 1500.0

you would change 1500.0 to a larger number to increase strength.

(entering 99999 would turn your car into a train!) :)

Awesome mod, Keelo. I was wondering, because I'm as adept at modding xml files as a wet carrot, could you make one with lower damage? Not ridiculously, but more than 2 Desert Eagle shots to take someone out of the fight, for example. I'm fine with sniper rifle damage, but the rest of the guns I feel should be changed. In addition to that, I think that the system where shotgun pellets to exponentially lower damage at a range is awesome, so if you could keep something like that in, that'd be awesome! I'm using a lot of different guns at different times, so I couldn't really tell you what guns to model the damage after, so just lowering the base damage would be great, the physics is fine the way it is. If it's not too much to ask, though, don't put yourself out if you can't.
