RealityIV is a timecycle mod for GTAIV/EFLC.
No ENB is required, only a full GTAIV installation and any patch from 3 - 7/EFLC patches.
The main goal of this mod is to look as close to ENB as the RAGE engine will allow, I really am pushing this engine to it's limits using every trick I can. Obviously, this will never replace ENB, lack of real clouds, proper sky lighting, and high quality reflections, make it hard as a modder to match ENB's much better shaders.
Included in this mod are edited shaders by me, including patched shaders for DoF or no DoF, dpending on preference, and 2 timecyc files for DoF/No DoF.
All files required are included in the archive.
Lastly, any feedback most welcome.

thanks bro
BTW, if anyone wants to test some scruffy roads and pavements try this
http://www.mediafire.com/?mc0n439ry8m7n0r
It's only the gtxd file to test, so only roads & pavements in and around the main city, Alderney, and Broker.
On the video on Youtube, you use only your mod timecyc and roads and sidewalks or other mods you use?
This does work on 1.0.7.0 it says it in the description.
@stonee206
I'm not positive but I think it is.
The roads are linked above, and are also in both youtube video descriptions.
Is it better than Sapphire ? I'll let you decide ;-)
I WANT THIS MOD AN SAME GRAPHICS :D !!! :)))
can you post links or others ?
If something is what it will improve...
Thank you!
I made some wallpaper a while back "PacketOverload's Wallpaper for People...." using your mods DKT70. http://www.gtainside.com/en/download.php?do=cat&id=289
God I love GTA IV using RealityIV! XD
Cheers for the comments, 2timesacharm, although I wouldn't use this in ENB unless you do some serious ENB ini tweaking. Thing is with ENB, you will lose all the nice skies from this release, since ENB doesn't support some sky tricks I use to get coloured bottom skies.

Thank you for making my gaming experience %220 better!
If you want brighter shadows on buildings then you need to open the timecyc.dat in a text editor (make sure READ-ONLY is off) and search for the string "1.300 1.000 0.100" in the Extra Sunny //Midday line, change the value 1.000 to 0.800, save and test. If you like that then the shadow value is always the 5th value from the end of every line, normally 1.000, sometimes 0.900. Change them all to 0.800.
Next i wait for new version if you make ;)
Try this file,
http://www.mediafire.com/?do5mo1wp67gugwj
That is brighter on the buildings for Extra Sunny, I tested this myself on Patch 7. If you want it any lighter then you'll have to lighten it yourself, since this isn't the direction I'm going with this mod.
but other files from mediafire i may download...
http://www.youtube.com/user/DKTronics70#p/u/32/b9zQRNHNGs8
ITS AWESOME 8-))
Look, just do the modification yourself. The shadow darkness setting is always the 5th setting from the end of every line in the timecyc, so try lowering to to something low like 0.400 or 0.300, higher if it's too bright. Don't tell me this doesn't work because it does, it controls how dark or bright shadows are.
so here is screen if i want download another file from mediafire:

and here is screen if i want download this file what i cant:

I adjusted the 25th values ( http://www.imagebam.com/image/4787b6114723463 ) from between 800-1200 and the performance seems much better. The FPS dip is much lower. Im actually not sure exactly what value that is though :)
I need a new comp lol
That's glow you're referring to isn't it? I thought it was a feature, not a bug.
There is no bug with lights, I just don't like GTAIV's lights so I keep them as low as possible. If you want higher more powerful lights then visualsettings.dat in the common/data folder will help, look for headlights, taillights, and traffic lights, adjust to suit preference.
Only one thing: At some times and weathers police sirens did not showing properly. You addressed this in v1.61 and fixed it for some times and weathers but not all. I would like to experiment on this personally. Which values have to be adjusted for that?
Overall your v1.61 is great. I couldn’t enumerate and praise enough the astonishing and impressing effects you’re realizing. You are on a very good way. For my personal taste and in terms of realism I would reduce the specular sun effects a little bit further (although the effects look great). The second thing: Using your v1.41 as reference, it seems that v1.61 lost contrast (not brightness) in some way. Changing Contrast in the ingame Display-Settings isn’t possible any more (or at least has no effect?). Is there a way to get it back?
The sun specular effects are difficult to do subtly, it's almost a on or off effect, I can tone them down again but we are then almost near the off effect.
The change of contrast from 1.41 was done because of problems with the newer patches 6 & 7 and EFLC, the trick I used in 1.41 was only really possible in patches 3 - 5, in 6 & 7 it caused me too many headaches and complaints from a few. In 1.61, I have been able to stike a balance that works the same across all patches.
Anyway, thanks for the comments.
I don't think it's glow, you can see the light from the stop light through the other side when normally you wouldn't. Does that make any sense?
Sunny, exact and only at 6h
Extra Sunny, 8h to 20h
Sunny Windy, 5h to 11h and 13h to 18h
Cloudy, 1h to 5h and 9h to 10h and 15h to 20h
Drizzle, 6h to 19h
Other times and weathers are working well (only I noticed that the effect is very intense compared to other times in Foggy from 23h to 1h (same for Raining)).
Meanwhile I noticed another thing with v1.61: You got extreme light changes when driving under a bridge (in weathers Sunny, Extra Sunny, ES2, Sunny-Windy). Try driving from Autoeroticar in Alderney towards the bridge, you’ll see the sunlight turning away immediately (beside the bridge off course).
Btw, I always used v1.41 with patch 7 and EFLC without problems. V1.50 and v1.51 didn’t work so well for me. With 1.61 you introduced some brilliant effects and gained real progress, the lag of contrast is one of the few cons. So I’m patiently waiting for your next release. Meanwhile, could you tell me how to adjust the old 1.41-timecyc.dat (or timecyclemodifiers) for working police sirens (for instance with the IV Needle timecyc editor). I really would like to give it a try.
Thanks again for your great work!
The light changing under a bridge, and in a few other areas is because of the timecyclemodifiers, use the ones I provided to minimise this, but it isn't yet fixable, even worse with ENB. It's because Rockstar have designated many areas on the map to have custom settings, so when you drive into a area the timecyc is ignored. I'm still trying ways to fix this. Careful with the big tunnel as well, I haven't fixed that either.
As for 1.41, you cannot do that in 1.61, both are completely different, and 1.41 settings would completely change the look of 1.61 because you have to mod around those specific settings.

These are my best roads yet, better scaled, tile better, and look a lot like proper roads. Because this is only a test file, the roads are only in and around the main city/park, Broker, and Alderney.
As usual, they go in here,
C:Program Files (x86)Rockstar GamesGrand Theft Auto IVpcdatacdimages
But your Reality IV made it so fucking nice and close to reality that I would thank you in any language world offers. No FPS drops whatsoever, no lag. But I speak only two languages, so Thank You and Děkuji ti velice (it's Czech, haha).
Good job. I can't really offer some feedback, I like it and I am not that experienced in those things so I can't say what you should do better. Thanks again.
Look out for a bug-fixed release soon, with some indoor fixes.
My 680i just died so ->reinstall everything and I gotta say, I had RealityIV mixed with ENB and thought it was awesome but with a fresh install and only RealityIV, I am utterly shocked in awe! Two hundred times better than the awesome I had!
Darks are nice, reflections are amazing, glass is crystal clear, brightness is awesome.
Cheers buddy - good stuff.
I'm doing a proper ENB version now, but still need to fix some things in this mod.

The lighting is great - not too dark under the bridge, not overly bright in the open. Question: sunny, blue skies? I never got these very often with ENB alone - will this change with your work?
I know you're still working on it - and I know it may/will change quite a bit. :)
For blue skies, with the right settings, this can look better because the blue looks less cartoon-like, more realistic. Also remember, I'm trying to get that old late 60's - 70's look, which often had that red-ish tint to them.
This won't affect my work, this is merely a branch I'm taking to a different realism, more movie-like, and I'm still a good few weeks off.
Can't wait for the ENB version! Looking forward to it. Cheers! :)
If I get time this weekend, I will go back over this mod looking for things to fix and finish.
The sheer plagiarism and theft going on in the GTAIV community is sickening.
Please don't let these idiots stop you from developing your work further. You know, that's the internet :|
If it weren't for torrents, video, music and other media the internet wouldn't be it's astute, diverse un-tamed beast it is today?
Okay that's some serious shitty bullshit, but, RealityIV is a breath of fresh air in this GTA IV community.
Anyway, 1.62 is coming along nicely, indoors is much better, and dark shadows are much brighter.
BUT, there is, hopefully, going to be a major change to this mod that will put it head and shoulders above anything out there, and it's already looking amazing. Screenshots cannot show the effect, so a video will have to be put together to show it running, it's a cool effect if done right.
2TimesACharm :) PacketOverload, PacketOverload_x64bit, ArmAVidz on forums and Youtube
Cheers DKT, I posted some screens of R4 1.61 in the ENB thread - hope I didn't get any assumptions TOO wrong.
Adaptation, all stock gtaiv with no ENB.

Indoor areas now working better, less dark areas in shadow, better colour using colour correction
This version is now doing some funky stuff with colour and light, so (hopefully) this version will knock your socks off 'visually', and will establish this mod as THE best non-ENB mod out there.
Release should hopefully be by Friday or Saturday, and will be on here and Youtube.
Is it still non-ENB? I thought you were working on an ENB version? :)
It looks amazing. My fiance is going to you hate you and me both when you release it LMAO
The ENB version is on hold for a short time while I wrap up bugs in this mod - bugs co-exist in both this and ENB so fixing one should help the other - indoors springs to mind. Plus the ENB mod is a bit too ambitious and complex, causing me many headaches, and head scratching.
Keep up the good work.
Greetings from Germany :D
some cars are invisible
i see just lights shinning
Cars invisible ? Never ever seen anything like that on any of my mods.
Check my screenshot on link below, my GTA4 got totally messed up..
I am on 1.0.7.0 and all i did was copy paste the common and pc folder
I am on steam, if that matters at all thank you!!
