This mod adds a lot of new environmental effects to GTA IV to give it an even better feel than before! Reflections on the ground and cars are increased, among other things.

nah itll be okay, it basically modifies the way the environment files work, it hardly changes any textures. so you should be fine, i didnt see any change in FPS

Just a question is my pc low end or high end? Amd Athlon X2 5000+ 2.6 ghz dual core 2 GB RAM Geforce 9600 GT 512MB thanks for answering

i'd say middle. you could probably run GTA IV with medium graphics. if you had some more RAM and a quad core CPU, that would be high-end.

I saw a noticeable difference in graphics and everything like that. did not really see a difference in FPS. i used No DOF, Reflection Normal, Low-end CPU and GPU. is there any other that i can use that will increase my FPS?

9999999999999999999999999999999/10 for this mod

whoops, i'm talking about VisualIV 1.7.2 (the newest update for VisualIV)
Posted on July 25, 2010 4:11PM by monster875
The newest is 1.7.5 :)

Which I by the way think should come up here!

I'm writing because I have a questiom.

I love VisualIV, primarily for the fact, that you kept the screen definition while maintaining motion blur and DOF/Smooth Shadows, but I can see that this relates to the tweak released on gtaforums a couple of years ago (can't remember the name).

However, when going through the visualsettings, I can see that you chose to switch global environment reflections off? Why is that, have you switched them on somewhere else?

Can any1 help me? I have installed VisualIV 1.7.7. and after some minutes of playing i have dissappearing textures, which i dont have without VIV. Is there a way to fix that problem?
