I don't want to sound * but 1 has already been made so it isn't really the 1st.

[Posted on December 30, 2012 5:11AM by Bid96]

@cromchen - Well, this is technically my first mod that deals mostly with model work.

Prior to this, I've done many texture mods, though I only release few of them, if any. An example of one that I've released is my "Terminator Retexture" here on GTA4-Mods.

@Bid96 - That's odd... When I was searching on Google, I couldn't find one!

Are you referring to this one?:

What makes this differ from mine is that:

- It represents an executive Taxi, and not a regular NYC cab

- It was not rigged properly, so the Destination screen is half-covered

Nonetheless, I changed the description. ;)

Above are comments from the original mod's page. I had to reupload it because it took GTA4-Mods more than 24 hours to approve of version 2.

Hey, DLer here, can you either adjust my model, or perhaps I could use your model to update my executive version?
Posted on December 31, 2013 3:38PM by DLer
Hey DLer,

Sure, I can adjust your model! The concept of an Executive taxi is pretty cool. I wouldn't have thought of it myself!

By the way, what's with the low ratings, guys? :o
Posted on December 31, 2013 3:43PM by RobertBlox
Ok nice! Can you make also a sultan 1?
Posted on December 31, 2013 3:48PM by Bid96
A Sultan taxi?... Hmm...

First, I'll have to find a model of one that has a livery and is editable. Mainly because I don't know how to add my own liveries yet. :/
Posted on December 31, 2013 3:50PM by RobertBlox
@Bid96 - As I was searching for a Sultan model to work with, I came across... Guess what?... A SULTAN TAXI!

It replaces the Cabby, so if you want, you can use this mod and that one simultaneously!

@DLer - Actualy, instead of you having to give me your model, I can tell you how to rig yours properly right here!

If you notice, the Taxi model's offset is different than any other vehicle because the screen spawns at set coordinates. To fix this for the Washington ONLY, follow these steps:

1. Open your Washington Car in Zmodeler (I use 2.2.4)

2. Go to the model's hierarchy and UNCHECK the box for "chassis"

3. Note, now that the "chassis" is not visible, you will see a green square on your perspective screen(s).

4. Switch to the left or right perspective view and zoom into the green square. This square represents the center coordinate for your car.

5. Go to Modify-->Exact Transform, and click on the Green Square

6. You will now see a window pop up. Select the "Apply Position" option ONLY!

7. Now set the value for "Z" to "-0.060" (without quotes)

8. Save the model (backup the old one first) and export the model! Don't forget to Zmod-Lock it!

Hope this helps!

@Bid96 - Going back to the Sultan Taxi link (posted above), I noticed that you posted "Can I know why i don't have anything on the roof??"

This probably has to do with the "vehicles.ide" data lines... You could try using the data line I gave for this model (or the original "Cabby" data line), but I can't say that I know how to fix that for sure.

Hey, thanks for the directions! I have been trying to figure it out forever, I'm more of a texture modder than a Zmodeler. I'll give it a try but one thing, my Zmodeler, it always freezes when I try and export. Any suggestions here? Thanks again!
Posted on December 31, 2013 4:49PM by DLer
jo of looking good , happy new year
Posted on December 31, 2013 5:13PM by cromchen
yeah I 'm just getting started working with textures
Posted on December 31, 2013 5:33PM by cromchen
@DLer - Funny, I'm more of a texture modder, too! This is one of my first model mods, so I've had some time to tinker around and find out how to use Zmodeler.

As for exporting, I had freezing problems at first, too... I can't remember how I fixed it now. Do you have a registered version? If so, I would post a topic somewhere to see if others remember how to fix that.

However, one thing you can do is run Zmodeler ALONE, without any other programs open.

@cromchen - Happy new year to you, too!

For texture creation, please look at these videos:

Thank you, I look it me on

No haha don't mind that comment btw I asked if you could do 1 because that 1 has no liveries & taxi badges. I'm using that 1 currently anyway.

@Bid96 - Thanks! ;)

By the way everyone, why does this have a rating of 6.67?

Surely it deserves at least an 8.5...
Posted on January 1, 2013 1:14PM by RobertBlox
Forget voting , even if it is sometimes hard , I think the comments say much more about a mod
Posted on January 1, 2013 1:30PM by cromchen
Stupid fuckers who don't like original cars modded....
Posted on January 1, 2013 1:53PM by Bid96
that is not in vain , War of the Stars :}
Posted on January 1, 2013 2:08PM by cromchen
you bid voting is a purely psychological weapon, we all secretly working towards the golden star, and remember not like we hate geseitig more if there are only 3 stars again, this is intentional
Posted on January 1, 2013 2:36PM by cromchen
@Bid96 - Yeah, I guess so. It's all about money and fast cars for some, isn't it? :P

@cromchem - Thanks, I appreciate your comments. :)
Posted on January 1, 2013 2:48PM by RobertBlox
Hey, I still can get mine to export right...mind giving mine a try and sending it my way??
Posted on January 1, 2013 11:15PM by DLer
Bid you my comment was not directed against you , when the Regina has the wooden structure , I pack the to the other , greeting
Posted on January 2, 2013 8:11AM by cromchen
@DLer - Sure, I can help you out there. ;)

Send me the file so I can download it later today. Since it's no longer the 1st anymore, it may take me until Friday/Saturday to finish it for you.

When you get it back, I'll give you a Zmod-locked version and an unlocked version for your editing.

Welcome to the siding : )

* Mediafire is giving me issues. I'll try and get that file to you ASAP! You can always get it from LCPDFR too :)
Posted on January 3, 2013 10:29PM by DLer
@cromchen - Yeah, I guess so. :P

@DLer - Okay, in that case I'll get it from LCPDFR so you don't have to go through the trouble. ;)
Posted on January 3, 2013 10:50PM by RobertBlox
@Bid96 - Wow, you were right with the whole taxi thing!

I just found this one on LCPDFR which is made like mine, but has a different carcols line, handling line, and is rigged differently (different wheels and taxi signs).

Posted on January 3, 2013 10:55PM by RobertBlox
Thanks again RobertBlox, Mediafire isn't working for me today either, again. Your efforts do not go unappreciated!
Posted on January 4, 2013 6:13PM by DLer
No problem, DLer! :)

Unfortunately, I couldn't get around to it today. I'll try to A.S.A.P.!
Posted on January 5, 2013 8:00PM by RobertBlox
Might have to wait until the end of the week again, sorry!

If you're still here, DLer, please post so I know.
Posted on January 7, 2013 8:48PM by RobertBlox
Hey no worries, not in a rush. I'll check later, thanks!
Posted on January 8, 2013 8:54AM by DLer
Still awaiting an opportunity to work on it. Just wanted to update you.
Posted on January 10, 2013 2:28AM by RobertBlox
Hey no troubles.
Posted on January 10, 2013 2:29PM by DLer
If possible, try to find a friend of yours with zModeler who can help you out. I'm having a hard time finding an opportunity.

Sorry about that. :(
Posted on January 12, 2013 11:26PM by RobertBlox
So hey, I got this fixed, but then I noticed that the wheels then are pushed back and are not centered! Any ideas?
Posted on February 4, 2013 10:07AM by DLer
Hmm... Try to change the offset of the wheels by moving the suspension, brake discs, and wheels forward in the model. This should change the offset to match the car's body.
