After a few hours of work, RobertBlox presents to you his version of the Washington Taxi Cab!

There are also two textures included for LC and an NYC. Choose whichever you want to use.

@cromchen - Well, this is technically my first mod that deals mostly with model work.

Prior to this, I've done many texture mods, though I only release few of them, if any. An example of one that I've released is my "Terminator Retexture" here on GTA4-Mods.

@Bid96 - That's odd... When I was searching on Google, I couldn't find one!

What makes this differ from mine is that:

- It represents an executive Taxi, and not a regular NYC cab

- It was not rigged properly, so the Destination screen is half-covered

Nonetheless, I changed the description. ;)

A Sultan taxi?... Hmm...

First, I'll have to find a model of one that has a livery and is editable. Mainly because I don't know how to add my own liveries yet. :/

It replaces the Cabby, so if you want, you can use this mod and that one simultaneously!

@DLer - Actualy, instead of you having to give me your model, I can tell you how to rig yours properly right here!

If you notice, the Taxi model's offset is different than any other vehicle because the screen spawns at set coordinates. To fix this for the Washington ONLY, follow these steps:

------

1. Open your Washington Car in Zmodeler (I use 2.2.4)

2. Go to the model's hierarchy and UNCHECK the box for "chassis"

3. Note, now that the "chassis" is not visible, you will see a green square on your perspective screen(s).

4. Switch to the left or right perspective view and zoom into the green square. This square represents the center coordinate for your car.

5. Go to Modify-->Exact Transform, and click on the Green Square

6. You will now see a window pop up. Select the "Apply Position" option ONLY!

7. Now set the value for "Z" to "-0.060" (without quotes)

8. Save the model (backup the old one first) and export the model! Don't forget to Zmod-Lock it!

@Bid96 - Going back to the Sultan Taxi link (posted above), I noticed that you posted "Can I know why i don't have anything on the roof??"

This probably has to do with the "vehicles.ide" data lines... You could try using the data line I gave for this model (or the original "Cabby" data line), but I can't say that I know how to fix that for sure.

Hey, thanks for the directions! I have been trying to figure it out forever, I'm more of a texture modder than a Zmodeler. I'll give it a try but one thing, my Zmodeler, it always freezes when I try and export. Any suggestions here? Thanks again!

@DLer - Funny, I'm more of a texture modder, too! This is one of my first model mods, so I've had some time to tinker around and find out how to use Zmodeler.

As for exporting, I had freezing problems at first, too... I can't remember how I fixed it now. Do you have a registered version? If so, I would post a topic somewhere to see if others remember how to fix that.

However, one thing you can do is run Zmodeler ALONE, without any other programs open.

No haha don't mind that comment btw I asked if you could do 1 because that 1 has no liveries & taxi badges. I'm using that 1 currently anyway.

@Bid96 - Wow, you were right with the whole taxi thing!

I just found this one on LCPDFR which is made like mine, but has a different carcols line, handling line, and is rigged differently (different wheels and taxi signs).

So hey, I got this fixed, but then I noticed that the wheels then are pushed back and are not centered! Any ideas?

Hmm... Try to change the offset of the wheels by moving the suspension, brake discs, and wheels forward in the model. This should change the offset to match the car's body.
