Armoured Car Hijack v2

This mod will enable a convoy of vehicles to spawn at the "Civilization Committee" building just south of the Albany Avenue safehouse in Algonquin (building which gives 4 star wanted level for trespassing). The convoy will follow a route around Algonquin, making stops to pickup money at 5 locations. After each stop, the armoured car will be carrying more cash.

The objective is to steal the armoured vehicle and return it to a dropoff point before being killed or having the vehicle destroyed. If you make it to the dropoff, you will be rewarded with cash from the heist, however, you will still need to escape any remaining pursuers as well as any police whose attention you may have drawn.

There are multiple ways to get the armoured car which are all viable.

@carlos First you need a .Net Scripthook, put it in the main folder of GTA IV then put this mod in the "scripts" folder.

@ Prof.Farmsworth It worked now one time I brought the van to the point.Then I wanted to make it again but no convoy spawned.I tried it 30min no convoy.

I give it a 8/10 because I really want this to work

@Policefanatic - Did you set the "daysBetweenPickups" value in the .ini? If you want them to spawn immediately after just spawning, this value needs to be set to 0. Otherwise, you need to wait until "X" number of days has passed (where X is the "daysBetweenPickups" value). You can check the number of days passed in game in the STATS section, and number of days passed in the mod will be in the .ini under DATA/daynumber. (If your "daynumber" value is zero after running the mod, set it to 1).

@XxDarkxX - Also try lowering the "spawnDelay" value. Anything below 100 should make them spawn in less than 15 seconds. You NEED to be close the the building for them to spawn at all (within 350 metres/feet/whatever units the game uses).

I am going to try it now to see if I uploaded a bugged version unintentionally.

@XxDarkxX - Nothing I know of should conflict. I use a lot of scripts as well. Are you going to the building in the main photo above? That pic is at pickup #2, not the spawn. Head east from there to find the spawn building. It says "Civilization Committee" on it, has 3 statues out front, and will give you 4 stars if you go onto the property. Pickup #2 is too far away for them to spawn. I just tried it with the settings above and they spawned almost immediately.

Dam this is crazy lol. I saw that building, but i can't find where is it exactly. And yes, i was going to 2nd pic above. Where you standing, at "Frankfort Ave". I gotta find that cops building. o.0 If you can show me on map, that would be good. Sorry for that. I don't remember places in GTA. :P

trying it with eflc, it worked once for about 5 seconds and crashed the other 10 times i tried it. got rid of all other script mods and its still crashing. wish i could look at the log but i one doesnt get created for me in the eflc release i have. Maybe thats why it's crashing i dont know. I wanted to make an armour car robbery mod, im glad a pro got it done first. Code looks good in ilspy mine woulda be much lamer lol. ima try this without eflc if i can unlock all the islands first

Its good idea for making money in gta 4 With arrest warrant script it makes good addition to game. BUT there is problems and bad solutions. That convoy drives like mad and ignores red lights. And that makes problem with arrestwarrant mod and my handling moded file. I set high collision damage so they driving behavior makes escort cars fast damaged and when I wait then they are killing themselves so it makes it easier for me. Security cars ect. are not like police, ambulance, firetruck or like politics cars so they cannot pass red lights. I suggest to you to make them drive patient. Make only car escort not bike escort. Make escorted employers different like suit man or security guards instead of italian mobsters.

@XxDarkxX - Do they not spawn when you make it to the dropoff and go back, like Policefanatic's comment above? If "daysBetweenPickups" is set to 0, they should spawn as soon as you get back to the area (eg. I spawn at the hospital two blocks south after dying, and the convoy will spawn without me even moving).

@matt19811 - How many modded vehicles do you have, and do any of them spawn in the convoy? Other scripts should not interfere (at least none that I use, except Fire Department occasionally) with this mod, but when I used more than a couple modded vehicles, it would crash more. Check the update later, it will have an option to determine how many off screen cars get deleted when the convoy spawns.

@THED - I only have the DLC on the console, so I am not sure why it would crash. Do the vehicles used not exist in EFLC (stockade, cognoscenti, nrg900, huntley)?

@CoSm1cgAm3r - If they drive patient, it literally takes 20 minutes to do one run (if traffic doesn't get stuck, which usually happens), and these guys aren't exactly legal, which is why they are not armoured guards. About the high damage, I use higher damage as well and have never seen them set themselves on fire. And the bikes are there because I like the fact they can drive offset from the cars. Only cars spawn after you are in the vehicle.

i like the mod but to make it more realistic can you make the all the vehicles involved obay the traffic laws and maybe the cars that follow the money van could be f.i.b? hope this can be done and look forward to the update... ;o)

Alright, please grab this update now. It fixes the rocket launcher enemy and the ini file. This update is how the mod is supposed to be. The rockets will increase the difficulty. It also adds the ability to increase or decrease the number of cars that get deleted on spawn, which should help people with modded cars who are experiencing crashes.

@powler - I will release an official update in the next couple of days that will allow you to choose which vehicle models spawn. Be warned that replacing the bikes with cars may cause the convoy to drive erratically due to the proximity to the other cars.

@matt19811 - The custom vehicle selection will allow you to change the vehicles in case any are not in EFLC. This may help the problem.

Also, for anyone whom the convoy is not spawning, remember when reloading a save game, you may need to set the "dayNumber" setting back as well as it will be ahead of the game date, thus will not spawn anything until at least that day arrives.

They are not legal? Hmm I got that feeling when I saw them in action. But it is very confusing seeing them start from very guarded place where police is guarding that location and when player get on that property then 4 stars are set and police attack. So who are they really? MOBS? What they are collecting? Protection money? Ok so they heading to the airport I managed to discovery their destination point on second try. First one was buged. AT disappeared when they crossed bridge. I was long behind cuz I was watching what escort guys are doing when their vehicle was very damaged. They take civilian cars by force but then AT dissapeared from my radar lol. Second time they got to airport I tried to attack them but %!@#@% police wasted me. Then I respawned at hospital and saw that AT is still at airport. I got there and tried to take over. First killing guards which was staying in tight group then I attacked AT but guys inside didnt react. Co I tried to open door. Door was locked so I fire all my RPG at them but car was undestructable at this moment :/ Sometimes AT wont even start from start location. They just parking ther and do nothing. And last thing. Guys with rpgs in few locations standing and waiting to shoot at AT? this is silly. And those mobsters trying to take over AT they got army ? they respawn so fast like this dumb rockstar police :) And about car damage. I use my own made damage multipliers and I set them high to try achieve more realistic feel. So 1 strong crash sets black smoke on car and deformation is slightly higher. Im still making adjustments to car handling and adding my changes to Killatomate handling file and making my own materials settings. Im also using ragdoll on player so firefights are harder for me. Thats why now Im moding those insane cop madness spawning. I know how to make their sight range reduced but I dont know how to change their respawn time. Maybe you know how to make it by scripting? And I would love to get some kind of mod/script that will make firing guns on PC using mouse to look like when using gamepad. Mouse give 99% less bullet spread in firing even from cover. Nobody ever tried to fix that. Tragically sad is that rockstar made this bug on some kind of purpose and never fixed it in patches. I Will help testing your script but also I ask if you can help me in this cop problem and gun firing when player is using mouse. Maybe script that will make mouse aim act as gamepad LT trigger and LMB acts as gamepad RT. Help please.

Prof_Farnsworth : Nope mate, it's too ahead, what Policefanatic said above. I don't even get truck spawn in whole map. o.0 That icon which you said, white icon with 2 hands up. First i got it. But now again lost it. I will try this new version. Let's see what happens.

My settings are now this,

ok it works if i load a save everytime i want to do it again if i keep daysBetweenPickups = 1 and spawnDelay = 200 and spawnDelete = 7 and take a taxi right to the front of the building, it doesnt crash the first time i try but the second time it does if i don't load a game. I am able to play it, the mission is very well done and fun, looking forward to more of them with other locations

Sometimes convoy is not spawning at all. I dont see any errors in console. Once when respawned at hospital game crashed. When player die in AT then when screen is fading away AT disappear and nico just fall to ground. I got crasches on 1.1 and not spawning convoy so I played again on 1.0 I manage to get to drop spot with help of cheats but when I arrived and stopped on mark nothing happened. So I destroyed AT Then I was killed by police. When respawned truck was still at marker destroyed. Some mobs on streets. I go to building where convoy spawns and nothing happened.

Make option in INI file to disable this crazy driving convoy for those patient players (like me. I dont care I can even wait 30min to get convoy to get full amount of money[which should be random]). Make other options like spawning time for those mobsters when player drive AT They spawn to fast and there are to many of them. Police spawning insanely fast so it makes it impossible to finish. And add disabling option for those insane rocket man. Police dont give a %!## and they just firing like crazy. Im playing with great script which is arrest warrant but when using your mod is IMPOSIBLE to play. I got wanted level everytime I got out of hospital because when I try to take over AT police always interfere so when I try to get through them and kill them I got 4-6 stars and when they kill me i start from hospital with high alert and police when see me they make wanted level back. Even if I will make bribe meating I spent lots of money then I got to convoy and police interfere again so Im getting 4-6 stars again. mobsters and police get over me and all of them fire at AT which im driving. Police 4-6 stars + 4 cars of mobsters with automatic weapons then those %!$@^@ rocket man. THIS IS MADNESS! Player lose more money than can earn on this convoy mission because it is so hard with "arrest warrant" script which I like a lot and I will not disable it. So please make many options in ini file for people to set their own difficulty level. For me now it is IMPOSSIBLE to finish mostly because police and mobsters attack me like madmans and even If I got handling moded that makes AT very resistant to gunfire it still got tires vulnerable and they always pop all my tires so escaping from those madmans with rocket launchers is IMPOSSIBLE! I lose all my money and earning nothing so this script makes my game impossible for earning money. I tested other mod from net called "robbery mod" but this one is much to easy for me and is completely not editable. So Im still got no script/mod for earning money in game for my "arrest warrant" gameplay. I must pay bribes but I cannot earn money in way that I would be satisfied. Please make your script more editable.

@cosmicGamer - Wow, don't know what to tell you buddy. The script is supposed to be difficult, it is supposed to be MADNESS, that is THE POINT OF THE MOD. The money earned is already random, thanks. Oh, I use arrest warrant as well, and I am able to finish the mod every now and again, but most often die because THE POINT IS FOR IT TO BE DIFFICULT. Personally, this is the most fun I have had on a mission in GTA. It sounds like you want a vehicle you can drive to church on Sunday and will get paid for it. You can pull over $200,000 by finishing this mod. SHOULD THAT BE EASY??? If I made it that easy, I would take down the money by 75%.

@matt19811 & XxDarkxX - Not sure why you guys are having trouble with the spawns. When I test, they spawn every time. There will be a new version out today (pending approval & testing).

The new update includes the following:

-ability to turn street rockets on or off

-ability to choose vehicles that spawn in convoy (choose two seaters to make it easier

-ability to choose vehicles that chase you

-ability to make convoy obey traffic

-ability to create your own route with pickups

I will not change the rate of spawns of the guys chasing you, as I feel it is way too easy without the rockets as is.

Hmm u didnt understand me. I wrote to you that my settings make my game difficult so I dont understand you when you accusing me for having very easy game. U are deaply wrong. I tested script that allow bank robery and museau robbery and that was to easy money. I could make fortune If I decide to use it further but no I wanted more challenge and this script got potential but sadly default script was madness itself and compiled with my other scripts/moding it made it impossible to finish.

I used many scripts that make my game very hard so thats why I asked you to make your script modable so I can make your script easier because my game is already f*** hard. Why you didnt understand that.... Ok anyway thanx for making it more editable. But still u are little stubborn because you dont want to make spawn time editable of those taking over mobsters. Please understand that some people like to make scripts to their liking but got no skill in making scripts. I dont know nothing about scripting Im just moding games and editing values but not to make games easy for me. Im mading them more challenging. U script as alone one maybe is dificult enaught but I added many scripts edited them and edited other files too. All I asked you was to make ability to change as many things as possible to make it fit for everybody. Look how modable is "arrest warrant" angry amoeba did it very editable. Anyway thanx for changes u did. We will see if this is making game crashes or script errors.

@XxDarkxX - no problem.

@Cosmic - Sorry for the misunderstanding, but look at that post. A lot of CAPS and !!! sets a certain tone. The chasing spawns are not based on time, they are based on a number of factors, which is why I cannot make an easily editable variable to change it. You can change the vehicles to two doors which will only spawn two people in them. Might make it easier.

Update will be tomorrow. I forgot to add definable speeds for the custom routes, and would like to, but is too late now.

I got idea. Can you make alternative convoy hijacking script? Convoy picking up money from shops like jewelers and then go to bank to deposit money. There were be 2 guards that will go for money (black bag like in mission with trash truck and diamonds) then go back to AT and go to another shop. Just a idea.

But for now lets help you to make this one work without problems.

As for spawning guys trying to take back AT they spawn to close. Really to close. They almost spawned from back of AT when I was just driving slowly and watching backward. Sad to hear that there is no way to make spawn delay after they are eliminated. I was hoping to set about 4-8 seconds delay. But maybe there is way to make it spawn more far away and they will make their way to AT that would make it instead of time delay :)

@Cosmic - I need to add employees to my business mod before focusing on any new ones. You will be able to set up a custom route with the update, so you can work with that for the first idea. The guys spawn so close to increase the difficulty, otherwise they have a hard time catching up to the player. I have altered it so they will spawn a bit back further, but not much. Maybe in the future I will add an option to determine how far back they spawn. Not sure when though.

Awesome options damn ur good hope you don't stop doing stuff, employees for your business mod is a great idea. You might be right about the vehicles being the problem in eflc it seemed to work using the pstockade as the armoured car and the rest nrg900's but but i dont know now

@Cosmic - I am a little apprehensive about changing the people who spawn. When using a different model for each character, I would always get a script error related to spawning the peds. I could add the option and keep it at a limit of 4 different models. We'll see. I may add in the longer spawn distance option later, but as I said, it makes it way too easy, and realism was not my goal with this mod. It was to make something exciting and challenging.

@powler - Thanks a lot, glad you're enjoying it.

@matt19811 - Glad it finally worked for you, and thanks. Feel free to use whichever vehicle works, they will still be bullet, explosion, and fire proof (until you get in them of course).

brilliant mate but can you help me i have no idea how to write a script let alone a good one. so if it would be possibe i have a small list of script mods that i think would be good with detail's about each one. would you be prepared to have a look at it and possibly do one/some/all? if you would all the credit would go to you ;o)

Hmm about crashing. Yes it is crashing. I got loaded your script in script folder but actually not testing it or using it in game. I was testing my changes in some files and also playing with console for netscript like timescale, teleporting ect. So I was teleporting myself to some places. And I chose to teleport on the highest building in LC and jumping from there, spawning cars ect. for fun. But I experienced crash. Restarted game and after some time there was crash again. So I knowed that this must be some script that makes this crashes. I got some crashes when I was testing your script earlier so I instantly realized that this convoy script is cousing it so I removed it then no more crashes was present. When I was playing with teleporting and jumping from that building I was respawned at hospital that is not far from this building where this convoy starts. I got settings in this ini to start convoy at 0 days so when I spawned near hospital convoy was respawned too. I think something is wrong when this script is run several times. Sometimes it crashes game when second attempt is made to start convoy.

@matt & Cosmic - I don't have that issue with crashing, but like I said, I have almost no modded vehicles. Last time I tested, I ran the mod 5 times in a row, dying 3 times and making it twice, and the convoy spawned every time I went back. I will see if I can replicate these crashes and maybe find a fix in the next while.

I dont have moded cars too in this time I play. I only have changed few guns. I think 5 times is to small. Try just to do what I was talking about. Try to make fun near place of convoy spawn. Sometimes u may to try to attack convoy. Fight with police till death then spawn in that hospital near convoy spawn about 20 times then you maybe will encounter that crash. Otherwise trust us that crashes occur :)

Only thing I can suggest is to set "daysBetweenPickups" to 1 or more. This is how it was originally designed. I have them set to spawn on a key press for testing and only crash occasionally (read: very rarely) even with repeated spawns. If i find something in the code, I will update, but I don't have crash reports from anyone else, so it is a bit odd.

yes it is odd i am using a unique Blackbox release at the moment since it takes up little space and everything but shit happens like this crash and i dont get an shdn log. Just to clarify that im not using a typical eflc gta though who knows for sure why shit happens i thought it might just be eflc but not sure are you almost done with ur business employees? And outstanding job with business mod, this, and bullet impact euphoria i'm striving to make a new proper/long script like these think im getting close maybe

Glad you enjoy the scripts, always nice to hear. As I said, mine crashes sometimes, but it hasn't done it on convoy spawn in some time (many versions ago). Mostly crashes when the firetruck spawns, if at all.

I have added employees to the boatyard (a new business which will be in the update) and almost have it set the way I want (need to figure out how to draw text better :)). Once the first is finalized, the others will go much faster. Haven't touched it in a few days though due to real life. Keep an eye on the mod here, or you can check the thread at GTAforums, I will bump it when I update.

Please let me know if you resolve the issue with this script, as only Cosmic and yourself have said there are crashes, and I cannot crash it consistently, but would like to fix it if I can. Thanks.

i don't know man, i'm using vanilla gtaiv and it's still crashing for me. The crash is a nethook.tick() crash it says. I actually had to fix that same crash in my armoured robbery mod, it turned out to be something in an if statement. Don't know if that's what is is here.

Ahh, so the script is crashing, but not your game? If it is a script error, I can most likely fix it, just let me know what it is.

I have had this script installed since I made it and have yet to crash because of it. I was even running ambulance mission testing, and the convoy spawned, ran its course, and disappeared. No crashes.

If you know the script error, or can PM me the log, it would help a lot.

Just setting the convoy to obey traffic causes the convoy to spawn without the truck....

@haws1290 - It is on Albany avenue south of the Algonquin safehouse which is on the East side of the middle island. Literally walk out of that safehouse and you are on Albany ave. Head south from there and look for the building in Pic #3 above. I will post a map image when I can.

@Prof_Farnsworth: is it possible that the script does not work if you are using simple native trainer? Because i tried it without the trainer and it works, but when i install the trainer the script doesn't work anymore,... :(

My bad, it works with simple native trainer, but there's something weird, i have set rocketlaunchers = False, but in game they got rpg's.

@XxMeDiCxX - I don't see why it wouldn't, haven't tested myself though.

@SuperSvekke - Who has the RPG's? That setting only stops the RPG carrying guys from spawning in the street. Some of the car passengers still carry them, and will use them if you stop and they get out of the car.

Is there a way to disable the spawning cars that chase you when you steal the truck? I like the challenge of the shootout but not being chased.

This is an old issue, but I have a legal copy of EFLC, and my entire process crashes when I get about a block or two away from the CC building (spawn set to 0 days). I changed the vehicles to all EFLC exclusive ones, and then back to GTAIV vehicles (sentinal, sultan etc). The game still crashes. Can't quite figure it out. The only modded models are a couple weapon mods. Other than that, the game is clean.

@gramlock - there is a setting in the ini that will disable the cars the chase you. Change "backup_enable" to "0" in the ini.

@s373ns - I am working on a way to alleviate the crash issue, it would appear to be caused by the sudden spawn of so many vehicles and peds.

your mod is awesome :D but can you make cars move in 1 line, just like U.S president convoy :p because I change nrg900 to car but they stand next to lead vehicle :p
