Assassination Mod V1.0

This is an updated version of "Assassination Mod 0.6 by odiomoratti" which you can find here --->

-What does the mod do?:
Go to any payphone in the city and call the contact by pressing 'E' (action button), or simply visit him in middle park, and he will give you a random target to kill, and often the target must be killed in a certain way for more money (called 'extra' missions)! The mod is meant for GTA IV, but you can still play on EFLC, but you will miss out on some minor features.

Since the mod was unfinished I decided to add many fun and interesting features which greatly improve the mod:

Changelog from odiomoratti's version:
-I added much more 'extra' missions
-You now make between $7500 - $15000 for a standard hit.(more for 'extra' missions)
-Added missions where the player must be wearing certain clothes. (only works for GTA IV)
-Added missions where the player must be driving a certain vehicle to begin.
-Added some 'timed' missions
-Added missions where player needs to dispose of the target's vehicle
-Added 'Toggle Assassin Gear' (balaclava & fingerless gloves) on Niko when pressing 'K' in a vehicle. (only works for GTA IV)
-Added minor support for EFLC.
-Added more bodyguard models.
-Added 'total assassinations completed' counter.
-Fixed minor bugs & issues.

-Tested on GTA IV 100% save V1.0.7.0


You NEED scripthook v1.7.1.7 to play! If it doesn't work you are most likely running an earlier version of scripthook. Download v1.7.1.7 here -->

Finally, most of the credit goes to "odiomoratti". I didn't make this mod, I simply updated his mod because he was inactive.

For kill cam mods i recommend using Nevitro Sniper bullet time v2,it slows time down when sniping and gives you the kill cam ^^

Great work, man. You might want to make the mod open source though. It's always a shame when a mod dev gets bored of their mod and leaves it to gather dust without letting anyone continue the project. Plus it allows for more customization for people who are savvy enough to fart around with the code.

Also, it'd be cool if you could look into adding an INI. Make a few things optional like what kind of extra missions occur, how much cash you can make, the key for equipping gear, etc.

@RiceBox - Thanks I'll look into it, but I won't be able to update the mod for a while since I'm on holidays. If someone wanted to edit the mod they could decompile the dll. I added your picture to the list :)

@cornflakes4u - Haha nice vid. I'd rather use the payphones than the contact since it can be slightly unpredictable lol.

@RockDrk - Are you using the same version of scripthook for both games?

This mod conflicts with so many mods :/ TurfWars = "Error in *.*" CoOp mission = "Error in *.*" Ambient Wars = "Error in *.*" I really like this mod, and enjoy killing people for money, but it conflicts with so many other cool mods that it's just hard to keep it around :( If there's anyway you could fix this, please do.

@Virazol - I don't know, man. I've played it with other mods, and I've watched videos of people playing with loads of other mods with no conflicts. You might be doing something wrong, or it might just be one of those mods that conflict with this.

@kograman - What errors are you having? Are you playing GTA IV or EFLC?

@Masterboss - Yes you can play it online, but your friends won't be able to see your targets. They can still help you kill your target if you point it out to them.

This is one of the best mods I've ever played SO FAR! Just one tip for the future if you allow me, would be better if you could put the language files separated from the mod instead of being part of the code itself, I mean, for being able to translate them into any language if people want to. Would be much more accesible for people with a low English level :) anyway, this is a 10/10 to me!

If I may make a suggestion, after making numerous phone calls accepting a hit mission using the payphone, I think a contact should be added on your phone so you can call for a hit mission on the go. I think it would be much more convenient. All you would have to do to unlock the contact would be to accept maybe 5 to 10 hit missions through the payphone. I hope you may consider this.

Hm, for some reason it often seems to crash the game when going on a mission. :( I've done a couple of missions without a problem, but it definitely makes the game prone to crash when this thing is active.

Also, in terms of its features; It would be nice if you were informed of the weapons you'd need beforehand. Because if you're a player who doesn't just use a trainer to get weapons, and you arrive at the scene and then get told to use a weapon you do not have, you have to basically take off from the scene again to obtain it, and then return again. It would be nice if itwould say like "bring this type of weapon", just like there's a mission which immediately tells you to were a specific outfit, which is a lot handier. :)

Also, it would be nice if there were blips for the phones put on the map. It would probably be even simpler to just add a contact in the cellphone like someone else suggested, but still, it would be handy if somehow there were indicators for the payphones. I do like to use them, brings me back to the more "90s"-ish GTA III, hehe. :P

Great mod luv it, tho is there a way to make it so u dont have to change clothing for certain assasinations, i like playing as peds rather than playing as niko, sorry bout that. Thanks still great mod

That's because the default position (is either below ground or above ground)

-- you might look up at the sky and see them

i think this happens because the game drops the character from the sky (initially)

and freezes their position before they have reached the ground

This occurs in the OnTick event, because the reference to the Boss Character (in middle park) is null.

The author did not properly initialize the this reference at game start.

This probably because the default (keyboard key) for calling a taxi is (On Foot: Action - E).

Obviously the mod is doing something that causes a crash, since the game it trying to use the payphone and call a taxi.

Simple fix: remap gamekey (On Foot: Action - E) to something else.

I used '.net reflector 8.0' by red gate.

I have created a VS2013 project, that is ready, for modding:

Note: it may be possible, that 2 (two) bosses would be created ... can't figure out why it creates more than 1 (one).

Hi everybody,

Firstly, I can see the contact icon in the park but once arrived there, there's nobody.

To use the phone it's works for me, but when I'm in the area I've got a message wich tell me "check the area" again and again.

Can you help me please ?
