V1.2.2 is available.
Fixes: A boat didn't move when the player was the driver. I don't know what causes it because my mod makes no difference between a boat and another type of vehicle. So this bug must be down in the bowels of the game itself. I implemented a workaround in a way that now a driver is always spawned (as long as there is a free passenger seat for the player) even if AlwasDriveYourself is set to true.

V1.2.1: Oops there was a small bug which is fixed with this release. Sorry

V1.2 is available.
CHANGES:
Added an "insane" speed preset which attempts for 180Mph. So even the Infernus with realistic driving mod can go to it's limit now. The question remains, where can you go that fast?

V1.1.3 is available.
Fixed a bug where pressing certain key sequences while not in a vehicle caused the mod to crash. More information in issue 15 of my BitBucket repo (click Author's website below).

V1.1.1:
Sorry I forgot to implement an error handling for invalid given model names. So here it is.

V1.1:.
Due to a request I have added the driver model to the XML configuration so the player can now customize it.
IMPORTANT! You MUST use the new AutodriveConfig.xml provided with this mod. Using the old file would crash the mod!

Short description: Autodrive provides you with your personal driver with 5 speed modes. It can be configured for
different driving behavior and it can even ride boats and helicopters for you!
The code of this mod was formerly part of my Havoc! mod but has undergone some major improvements.

IMPORTANT NOTE: In case you have also my Havoc mod installed then you must update it to the new version which has also been released today. This is necessary because an old Havoc! version would conflict with the Autodrive mod!

Please read the Guide (part of the rar file) for installation instructions.

Whoops I just found a nasty mistake in the Guide.

In the Troubleshooting section you read

"If the problem persists set the AlwaysDriveYourself option in the config to false." but it must be set to true of course!

Sorry for this. I have already updated the download.

do you think you could add an xml option to choose the model for the driver or would that not work?

Hi pr0t0typ3IV, thanks for the comment. :)

I will do it. That's no big deal. Maybe I upload a new release today but I'm not quite sure how much time I'm going to have today.

real quick question... if you are using the back to gtaiv mod (back to the future mod) and your in the vehicle and use this mod if the car still hits 88 mph will it still work?

Real quick answer... I don't know because I don't have this back to the future mod installed.

Just to make it more clear: I am doing my best to make my mods stable with the unmodified game but I can NOT be held responsible for compatibility issues with any of the thousands of other mods for GTA IV. In order to do so I would have to install each and every mod there is and test my mods against them. That's straight out impossible and not my responsibility anyway.

I hope you guys understand this.
