the mod is awesome, but how do you enable the time circuits? (where the time and date shows up on the screen?)
Posted on September 10, 2013 9:02PM by PG1313
@PG1313 - Read the Readme file.

Use the "+" key
Posted on September 10, 2013 10:03PM by RobertBlox
I did, but the display doesn't show up and I don't actually time travel. maybe it's because I'm using EFLC?

Posted on September 11, 2013 9:47AM by Tyler Durden
@Tyler Durden press ~ and type: spawn (name of the delorean model like dttf1)
Posted on September 11, 2013 11:45AM by hunter 57
you must press the ~ key to open the console.

Then type "d 1" or "d 2" or "d 3" or "d 4" (without the comillasy depending spawn delorean you want) then press enter.

If you use the Simple Native Trainer, you can also spawn BTTF1, BTTF2, BTTF3, or BTTF3RR by choosing "Spawn car by Model name."

OK, I have weird issue; After trimetraveling, Niko takes damage to his health... One time almost all life is gone, so after traveling two times he just dies inside the car after arriving. Not a very safe time-machine. lol

Right, so I've done a little testing and, as I suspected, it's a mod called 'Deadly Wrecks' that seems to cause the effect that I've described before.

I'm guessing that there's something in the events of timetravel that counts as an impact to something, either the car or the player-model.

It's probably the car, cause I think that the 'Deadly Wrecks'-mod looks at the damage or impacts to the vehicle and then translates that to damage to the player. So there's something that creates an impact and does damage to either the car or the player. Most likely it's something in the middle of the transistion of exploding into the time-portal and then coming out of it again. Still, the damage to the player only occurs like 10 seconds after arriving though, about when the mist is spraying out of the back.

So, if you care about this, maybe try to find where this "impact" (or whatever it is) is, and then, if possible, eliminate it or find a workaround.

Then again, this is probably part of the Time Travel mod by bttf92it, but I don't know if that person is still active.

In any case, time-traveling with the 'Deadly Wrecks'-mod is dangerous. XD It's almost more realistic, but you nearly die after traveling once. This is interesting actually, because you know how you can get away from police when you time-travel, right. Well, losing health could be the cost to get away. I know nobody is harmed in the movie, but in terms of playing this game, that could make it less of a "cheat" so to speak. :)

Then again, having to collect the "fuel" to recharge the time-machine would be interesting too. Like the Plutonium for the first version, trash for the second version and all that...

Anyway, for the rest it's an awesome mod though. I absolutely love the movies and it's the best I've seen it in a GTA-game so far.

One thing that might be cool is that if the noise and flashes and stuff would last a bit longer before hitting 88MPH and then blasting away. It seems that the way it is now it starts at 80MPH, and I don't know how that was decided, if it's like that in the movie or what (I don't remember). But maybe it should start at 75 or even 70. Also, some longer fire-tracks might look better, and also some more lightning around the car. Not so much that it would create performance-issues of course, just a little more effect, in both volume and time, would be nice.

Oh, and another thing; Would it be possible to customize the positions of the HUD-elements? Because I feel everything isn't really positioned nicely. Like the colored numbers are a bit too much to the center, and the clock and speedometer are mixed in with other HUD-elements in the bottom left corner. I'd like to be able to decide their positioning and maybe even size.

Not sure if this is again decided by the Time Travel mod, but it would be handy if there was some kind of file to be able to alter this. :)

Everything will be revised in due time ...

so I threw it as version 1.0.

But nevertheless ... by the time I did not promise anything.

Hi again. I've posted the issue (of the player taking damage) on the page for the "Deadly Wrecks"-mod as well, and the creator responded:

"I'm not sure why, but that mod (the BTTGTA_mod.net.dll file specifically) sets the car's health to 0 temporarily, then restores it to full health."

So apparently the car being at "0 health" is of course detected by "Deadly Wrecks" and thus results into damage to the player. I'm not sure if it's necessary (and why) that the car temporarily goes down to "0 health"? But if not, and it would be removed or changed, this could likely fix the incompatibility with the "Deadly Wrecks"-mod.

I'll see how to fix it ... for now this is necessary for the delorean to break down and do not start the engine after the jump in time ... As in the first film, with the difference that in the mod that lasts a short time.

I think I found 2 other small issues;

One might not actually be a problem, but isn't there supposed to be a sound while flying? Or is there just no sound for it? Well, it would be nice if there was some kind of "flying" sound, for example some kind of jet-sound or something. Not sure if there's something already in the game you could just "borrow".

One other thing that does seem to be a small bug is that, whenever I've used the hovering DeLorean, and I guess also the boost-function, and then use a regular vehicle, there are these two glowing entities still hovering just above and behind the vehicle.

At first I was thinking my game was just all messed up from modding, but then I figured they were in the same spot as those exhaust and probably are part of the effects for the boost or something. So I guess they don't "unload" properly or something.
