Bodyguard++ Mod
A new mod, made in one day! Hope you guys like it, if there are any problems/bugs/glitches please mail me, and i will fix them (at least i hope so). You can also mail me if you have any ideas/suggestions for this mod!

Installation:
Just put the .net.dll file in the scripts folder. Then u need OpenIV or SparkIV. Open pc/models/cdimages/componentpeds.img and then place the 3 files in the folder "Model" located in my rar file in that folder. Then run the game and enjoy.

Controls:
F10 to open spawn menu
NumPad2 to go down in the menu
NumPad4 to change value to left
NumPad6 to change value to right
If the menu is open, press NumPad9 to see how many bodyguards you have.

10/10, fully working!

@Wiebren, Very simple yet effective mod. Works 100% on 1.0.7, to confirm. I like the fact that you have to pay money to hire bodyguards, which makes them even more notorious and important to have around! Great concept!

And congrats on the menu system! I hope you will use this style for future projects. Very useful.

Some suggestions for future versions:

1. Bodyguard commands, simple ones like "Stand Guard" (or wait), "Go to waypoint", and "Follow". I know there is one similar mod called "Squad Control" on gtagarage, but that one is definitly broken and unssuported today.

2. Give player choice of bodyguards/ped models. I actually have my own crew setup already. I'd love it if I could still choose them in your menu system. (I don't even mind paying them lol) For example I have Brucie, Dwayne and Packie following me around robbing Burger Shots lol.

3. If even possible: As you are very well aware, I'm a big fan of your robbery mod. I'd love to see some crossover with it, like having to split stolen money with your bodyguards/crew members after the robberies.

@Rugz007, that is without a doubt, unfair and a showcase of jealousy.

@Wiebren, Oh btw this is not for me personally, but I also suggest putting the controls in your readme file for other users to see, so they know how to activate and use the mod :) I think some will appreciate that.

@rugz007 u know it works, on the other upload u rated 10 and you said ut worked perfectly, now i rate your mod, that does NOT work, and poof, you rate my mod a 1.. Sorry, if you think i will ever help you again, you are very wrong!

Use the settings class.

Put something like this in your start up code.

How would i rate my helped mod 1 ? There must be a reason you cant understand :( next time this mistake wont happen

So what you are saying is that you originally rated 1/10 on a test version of the mod instead of the one for download? Oh my god that is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Seriously, get off the internet.

No listen I do made 2 copies of my game

One for playing other for mod testing :D

So it works on playing but not on testing copies I removed all scripts then also :( and see he is my best friend

@Rugz007, You're still not making any sense... I think you are very confused young man. You need to make real friends outside your house doors, because this is very important later on in your life.

You still shouldn't downgrade another person's hardwork because your "Testing" Copy is CLEARLY broken or incompatible with the mod. Think about it a for a second : Does that make ANY SENSE to you to do that?

You are either a conniving, backstabbing little s*** calling strangers your best friend and downrating them for all the wrong reasons, or you are just too dumb.

I'm thinking you are both.

Tardisblue is right rugz, you rated my mod a 1 because YOU did something wrong. First thing you have to do is just buy GTA IV and not cracked, learn C# and then come back. You said you are not a beginner, yes you are. Sorry if you get sad about it, but it is the truth.

I did not now you are such a noob to modding.. When u put the .net.dll file in the Scripts folder, and your games crashes, you just have to remove that .net.dll file and it all works fine again. * son

Alright, help me out here. You rate 1/10 because mod failed on test copy. FINE.

Then, out of the blue, it works on your "Playing" copy. HURRAY. Harm was done. You gave a bad rating, too late.

So in the end, the problem was your "Test" Copy. Will you deny that now?

Hi I'm having a problem getting this mod to work. The custom files i currently have in my gta iv directory are dsound.dll, scriptHookDotNet.asi, ScriptHook.dll, and BodyguardMod.net. Are these right? because gta iv launches, but the spawn menu doesnt show up when i press F10

You need to drag it in the Scripts folder that is located in the main GTA IV directory. And in that scripts folder you have to put the .net.dll file

@slipknot yes, it only has one model, but that is because i am a modder, not a modeler. And i have not a single idea what u mean with "and not have ak47 and m4 weapons..."?

@gtaking12 if you want to learn modding, you need knowledge of C# or C++ or VisualBasic (i recommend C#) and you will need a Viusual Studio. Otherwise you will end up as Rugz007 with half complete mods
