GTAIVMODBodyguardScript v1.4.0.0B

Place this file into the /scripts/ location along with it's XML document, if your preferred script loader uses a different folder within the GTA IV root folder message me and notify me about it, so that I can fix the compatibility issue.

Tested with patch 1.0.7.0
Confirmed to work with patch 1.0.4.0 (1.2.0.0)

Notice
If you find that this works on other versions of GTA IV / with EFLC notify me about it with a message, any help is appreciated.

Features (Introduced in version - Feature - Default Key)
1.0.0.0 - Allows key re-mapping via the XML document provided.
1.0.0.0 - Your bodyguards will spawn with the weapon that you had equipped when you spawned them.
1.0.0.0 - Spawning bodyguards - Insert
1.0.0.0 - Removing all bodyguards (they lose their weapons, die and are removed from your group) - Delete
1.0.0.0 - Contains every single model in the game which is usable. (minus Niko's model [simply doesn't work], two multiplayer models and a test model [causes crashes])
1.0.0.0 - Has a menu to toggle options such as: bodyguards spawn invincible, changing their models, improving their accuracy, making them priority targets to enemies and allowing you to hurt them. (you will need to re-spawn current bodyguards for the changes to apply) - F3 [toggle]
1.0.0.0 - Allows you to heal your group, restore their ammo and armor. - F4
1.0.0.0 - Allows you to have your gang stop and resume following you. - F5 [toggle]
1.0.0.0 (updated the link) /1.1.0.0 - The XML files now specify the version of the script they were meant to be with.
1.1.0.0 - Allows you to have a driver cruise you around the city, you may also take 2 group members with you. - F6 [toggle]
You may need to press W once you're set to go. You may also delete the driver by pressing the key again.
1.2.0.0B - Having a convoy - press W to have them start the car once you want them to. (A car with 4 members will follow you - still being tested) - F7 [toggle]
1.2.0.0B - Blips. (toggle-able via the XML)
1.2.0.0B - Re-added the two removed multiplayer models.
1.2.0.0B2 - Customizable cars and colours. (for the convoy)
1.2.0.0B2 - Replenish group key heals convoy vehicle, can be removed via the XML file. - F4
1.2.0.0 - If the convoy is removed, it can be re-spawned without major errors. (If you recieve an error just reload the script)
1.2.0.0 - The convoy can now use 2-door vehicles (including motorcycles) and forklifts. (lol)
1.2.0.0 - The convoy will not be stuck as often as it previously did. (If you're too far from it, it stops obeying traffic laws and thus catches up to you)
1.3.0.0 - Re-entering your driver's car if you leave it - K
1.3.0.0 - Driver drives you to your GPS waypoint - L
1.3.0.0 - The driver now works with 2-door vehicles
1.3.0.0 - Your group can attack your targets - Aim at a pedestrian + T
1.3.0.0 - Reset group status - J
1.4.0.0B - Health bars and ammunition information (doesn't appear when the menu is open)
1.4.0.0B - There was a bug in the script which crashed it if you attempted to spawn your 7th member, I've since fixed this.
1.4.0.0B - It turns out that previously bodyguards weren't spawned with armour, I've since fixed this.
1.4.0.0B - Replenishing your group heals their armour. (previously it set their armour to 1000, now it sets it to 100)
1.4.0.0B - Error suppression with the new health bars.

Known Bugs
Occasionally when spawning a convoy the script may encounter an error/the convoy may not move, just restart the script to fix this. (no ETA on a fix since it isn't a major issue)
If you attempt to delete your group whilst doing something it might not work properly - just stop whatever you're doing before attempting to delete your group.

I personally think that this mod will come in handy when you hit a taxi and the driver attacks you.I will defenetly download THIS MOD!

Place it in your scripts folder, which is in the Grand Theft Auto IV folder.

The Revival's on guys :) The most advanced bodyguard script for GTA IV just got improved a bunch more.

If you guys encounter any issues due to the new obfuscation please let me know!

can someone please tell me where to place these 2 files. i have downloaded GTA IV from Steam. I can find the GTA IV main directory, but i don't know where to place them now. i already placed it in a map named: script. i also putted the files in all the script directories in OpenIV. but for some reason it doesn't seem to work. please can someone help me?

i test it with 1.0.7 ver! there some problem, hope you will fix it!

when i use the driver auto to GPS location, it not stop when reach location, i must jump out to make him stop (=.=) and driver not work with 2 door car ( i can't get in the secound sit)

Script crash some time, can you tell me how to reload script while in game?

btw: thanks for hard work, i love this mod. Sorry for my bad English :)

the script is awesome.... i tested with the patch 7. but it gives me error when i hit f7 for convoy. the script got error. can you tell me how to reload script in game..... or can you fix this.

I am not sure whether a trainer is required, but if you hit the ~ button next to the 1, a menu opens. Then type reloadscripts and all scripts will reload in-game. Then click ~ to close menu.

Ok for everyone having trouble with the crashes some vital info was missing out of the readme that if not followed will result in crash.

F6 Driver: You must get in the car you want your driver to have then exit the car and hit F6, simply hitting F6 will crash the mod.

F7 Convoy: You must physically be in a car then hit F7 and your convoy should spawn on your map and drive to you, again simply hitting F7 or hitting F7 while NOT in a car will crash the mod.

Also yes you don't need trainer to simply hit ~ and type "reloadscripts" if your mod crashes. (Note: this does reset your settings for this mod.)

Great mod works awesome just left out some details I think that should be cleared up.

Also TAP S repeatedly for those having trouble getting out while you have a driver it wont fix it but it will help make getting out without eating concrete easier.

Can i have this as a mod, so whenever i press F3 only a driver spawns to drive me around. A driver should spawn as many times as i press F3.

I use F1 for car spawning

F4 for spawning bodyguards

F5 toggle up selecting a bodyguard

F6 toggle down selecting a bodyguard

F11 invinsability on/off

F12 godmode on/off

AND, if i can have F3 to spawn a driver so that i can be driven WITH my bodyguards MY HOLE GAME LIFE WITH GTAIV WOULD BE GREAT.

the mod isnt working at all. my scripthook is not recognising it, the game is running with no mods but still wont recognise this one. anyone know how to help my issue?

Same here with me, the mod doesn't work! >.<

I placed it in the script folder and the game didn't run at all.

I placed it in the directory folder, the game started, but it's like the mod sn't there.

I'm pressing "insert" but there's no bodyguard is respawning.

My version of the game is 1.0.7.0

i have it working in 1.0.7 but... it conflicts with (the bikers script mod) both scripts this one and bikers have very useful features. let me put a layout here

this mod controls friendly fire and how gaurds or followers follow and act and react accroding to the player's actions. when you spawn a bodygaurd it spawns 1 at a time and is right in front of you or beside you etc. so the spawning and controlling of the npcs is good .

now about bikers . bikers spawns up to 2 people at a time which you can easily specify and it spawns them at the same time. thats one plus that has. second bikers allows the npcs to spawn on vehicles and drive to you and you can specifiy what vehicle. now hears the tricky part. bikers spawn the follower/gaurds away from you thats a minus for bikers but it does spawn them in or on(on being bike) vehciles which this mod doesnt do. which is a plus.

so why am i even mentioning both or comparing for that fact? because im asking for either or or both modders to work together to get a mod that allows spawning of 2 npcs at once and has no limit on spawning and when spawning the npcs are next to you like this mod does but with vehicles you specified like from the bikers mod.

this mod by far has the best pack n punch out of the two but there is features i see in both that are pretty awesome. so if you get a chance please try to collaborate so we can make the mods better and more effective. until then thanks for the mod ill be running it.
