What this mod does is give you car controls like engine toggle, cruise control, open doors, and a check engine light.

To use this you need Aru's Scripthook and HazardX's .NET Scripthook.

To install copy the .net.dll and .ini files from the zip to the scripts folder in your GTA:IV directory.

Change-log:
v1.2:
Renamed from Car Indicators to Car Functions and Indicators

Added ability to disable individual GUI elements.

Added ability to move individual GUI elements.

Removed RPM meter.

Added ability to open doors.

Changed how the cruise control works. It is now more like real life cruise control.
When you brake, it shuts off cruise control.
You can speed up, and when you let go of the gas, cruise control will go back to it's original speed.

v1.1:
VERY small update. When you are not in a car, it will not show the GUI.

v1.0:
Fixed weird cruise control turning when braking.
Also, when you reverse, cruise control pauses.

Fixed the lowering of your car when you have cruise control (probably not totally fixed but its been changed a little)

BETA 2:
ADDED AN INI FILE!!! YAY! :D

Buttons are now customizable with the ini, so if you don't want Cruise Control to be the default Q, you can change it to whatever you want!

Fixed flying when cruise control is on.

Made it so if you hit a vehicle, the cruise control will pause. And when you get away from said vehicle, you will speed up again to your original speed.

Moved the cruise control GUI thing a LIIITLE bit to the right.

Added a Script Toggle feature, so you can be undisturbed when you want.

You can just disable the other GUI elements in the ini file. I just put this feature in lol.

Nice mod.



The gui is just a bit ugly and too big, maybe try making it smaller and have it fit alongside the HUD.

Anyway still a 9/10

The gui is the best I could do. I am better at coding than making pictures. Could you show me what you think they should look like?

Alongside the HUD? Could you make an example or a picture or something of what it should look like?

@LetsPlayOrDy this is brilliant, iv been just driving round for hours now :)

i have a question though.... would it be possible to map the indicator keys in as joypad buttons? or maybe there is a way to build a script for this? i think being able to use the joypad for indicators would be truly EPIC! so thought id put the idea forward as i know nothing about scripting etc

the mod gets a clean 10/10 from me :)

What do you mean as joypad? Like a xbox controller? If that is what you are talking about then I might be able to add support for that. I am not sure though, the controller for xbox doesn't really have enough buttons to put all of these on it.

It allows you to set the buttons on the XBOX Controller to control keyboard commands. So you'd set the indicator to the "J" and "K" keys lets say, you'd set ControlMK so left and right on d-pad simulate keyboard commands "J" and "K", and voila.

I do agree, but there are some issues. With Car Functions and Indicators, there are 4 functions: engine toggle, cruise control, open left door, and open right door. I do not know how I could fit all of those on the d-pad, or anywhere else on the controller. Maybe I could just put only 2 of the functions instead of all of them on the controller. If I was to add that, what functions should they be?

RE: Indicators/Turn Signals -- I have the Turn Signal Script mapped on my Steering Wheel... so the Left Button for Left, and Right Button for Right.

from a developer point i completely understand your reasoning too, if you were to map it youd want to map it ALL... i think just the indicators mapped to D-pad would be fine as they are a basic driving function and would make for good vehicle showcasing videos etc

I understood most of what you said, except for the 'just the indicators' part. In this mod there is only 1 indicator (the check engine light), so that doesn't exactly make sense, because there is only 1.

I researched some more on the turn signal lights. What I have found is that scripthook doesn't have the feature to turn on/off specific lights. Advancedhook does this though, as IVindicators uses this. I do not want to use advancedhook though and change a bunch of code for just some turn signal lights. :/

Did you read what the error was?

What is your game version? I have only tested on 1.0.7.0.

Go into your GTA IV directory, open scripthookdotnet.log, copy the text from the file, and send it to letsplayordy@gmail.com.

Sorry for late reply. E is engine on/off, Q is cruise control on/off, etc. If you want to see all of them, look in the .ini file.

i am using version 1.7.0 but when i install any scripthook to the game directory the games show not responding plz tell me what to do i have a serious problem with that plz any body plz answer me also in facebook adnan.alam.549@facebook.com plz
