Reinventing an already well used and well functioning wheel. Thank you for trying. Would be great to see augmentations to already existing scripts and structures to provide better/more functionality i.e.: Make the superman script better.

There is nothing wrong with exercising with already existing creations. It's part of what helps us innovate and come up with great ideas later on.

Unfortunately for this mod, it's not quite ready yet for public use. You can consider it more as a slight upgrade from the original Superman flying mod (because this time you can actually control your flight somewhat in a non-exaggerated manner), while a big downgrade from the version contained within the Iron Man mod.

That is not to say that this mod is totally useless. In fact, since this seems to be in an unfinished state, I expect it to have better functions in the future.

Here are some suggestions:

1. Include the ability to go higher or lower as you hover similar to the Iron Man script.

2. Include the ability to configure keys. For example, instead of pressing F7, I want to press another key to start flying or landing. The ability to reconfigure controls is very important for gamers who use mods.

3. Give us the option whether to be as strong as a train while flying (your current setting where flying into objects/vehicles cause them to get heavily damaged) or to be just simple humans who can fly who should avoid bumping into things (if you fly into hard objects at great speeds, you'll get damaged or die).

In an effort to set your mod apart, try to add these features:

4. Dive Punch. While flying, players can press the melee button (left click or whatever they want) and the character will dive to the ground with a punch, causing an area of effect damage. This is similar to the Hulk script's jump attack, except you do this while flying.

5. Ability to grab a pedestrian or an object and fly.

6. While in the air holding a pedestrian or object, have the ability to smash them into the ground.

I give you 4 for your eff4t (lol effort). If you manage to do the things I listed above or add more features of your own, I believe that you have the potential to make your mod more enjoyable and earn the respect of gamers here.

Post scripts like this at, people will help you (instead of underrating you).

Instead of instructing the user to handle errors, in C# you can handle them during runtime, using try{} catch{} blocks. Check my works at Google Code for more detailed code.

well i am not a very good scripter but just trying will try to fix few errors or bugs and it include a ini file to change keys (@Adeno)

(@Adeno) Super Powers v2 mod is on its way but still required to fix flying in it and it will be having flying effects and powers if i managed to but its not so easy as it looks as i said m not a good scripter just trying i know its not so perfect but will try what i can do.

Thanks everyone for all comments as these gives new scripters like me some hope and to make better and effective mods.

What Adeno has mentioned is very good suggestions. Some I would have suggested myself too. If they're implemented this would be a great mod. I know there's iron man flying, but I don't want to install bloated software for one function if you know what I mean.

Some suggestions:

1. The animation during flying is very stiff, it's as if I'm just using airbreak with my body faced down. Try to make the body move and waver (arms and feets moving a bit) like the Iron Man mod.

2. The landing camera going at high speed is a bit off. It zooms everywhere.

3. Try to make flight mode avoid and stay above water, it'll ruin it and make it do glitchy things.

4. Like Adeno said, have a separate key for landing (I myself prefer -HOLDING- space to lift off AND land, just makes sense).

5. Cap/limit the speed when backing up, it can go too fast.

6. I must emphasis this, please keep updating this if you make changes/improvements to the flight mod in your other Superpower mod (I noticed that you changed the landing in that one). Not everyone wants everything. I myself tried the superpowers v2, and although it has better flying, I still use this one.

7. As for my final suggestion, keep up the great work!

hey can u make an update of this mod? i want to use this to make the blackops2 wingsuit models fly. but everytime i hit objects, there's an ugly bug. when i hit the walls, it getting ragdolled and suddenly woke up with fly animation. pls fix it. sry for my english

Can you upload a open source version. you know, to fix some bug and reduce some unnecessary code. Anyway, I've been expect someone make a fly mod because Iron man mod has too many unnecessary codes, but it's cool though, however, I don't like to use a mod that has so many unnecessary codes, so I usually write the code by myself.
