This is the original SilentShoot mod written by Nevitro. I (h3xperiment) have added some major fixes that improve the functionality.

This mod allows users to suppress weapons so that pedestrians will not react unless within a certain range (much like in GTA:SA).

This script is by no means perfect but is passable. Hopefully releasing it to a more broad user base will allow the remaining bugs to be fixed and functionality to be added.

Requires ScriptHookDotNet v1.7.1.7
Tested on GTA IV v1.0.7.0

INSTRUCTIONS
Simply extract the archive and copy SilentShoot_v2.Beta.cs to Program FilesRockstar GamesGrand Theft Auto IVscripts (that folder may not exist in which case just create it). MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ScriptHookDotNet v1.7.1.7

@Jo-ChiGames it makes the pistol have a silent mod, so if you hit someone... no one will notice something and you wont get any wanted leve stars ;) but i dont know how to install :(

Hey, h3, like I said in the email - I'm not the author of the original script. I can't remember his name. I just made a video of it, is all.

And I made a video with your script as well. I can't seem to get it working properly though. I've set the script to the "Glock" handgun but it doesn't work. I've even tried increasing the 100.0F to 500 to see if it was a matter of distance, but the result was the same.

I know northstar has a silent shoot mod and this one is most likely off of Nevitro's Silent shoot mod

@Kocayine could you post the pertinent lines from the ScriptHookDotNet log file. maybe there is an error for some reason but it works perfectly fine for me

Is anyone interested in helping me make a script where none of the dead bodies disappear anymore? I already have one where you can determine the amount of seconds that any dead body stays on the floor once it has been killed but for some reason the ones that were killed in a mission sometimes get overwritten and disappear even with the script.

other then that all citizens and cops do stay until the predetermined amount of sec that you chose in a .ini file that are in the mod have elapsed.

is anyone interested in helping me perfect it? I need to find someone who is good with scripts.

If peds are within 15 feet of you they will run.

also if you have a wanted level peds will react the same as if you fire an unsuppressed weapon. These are both features to improve realism although some tweaks could be made to ped behavior during a wanted level. Improvements or suggestions can be posted here or message/email me. :D

Just downloaded from this page and used that version in my GTA installation and it works exactly how I expected.

Requires ScriptHookDotNet v1.7.1.7

Hey even from far away peds are still running. Any idea whats going on? the weapon name is unchanged and still for the Deagle.

yeah its a bug. What i think is going on is that you shoot and all of the currently existing peds are affected by the script (so they dont run). But as soon as you move, more peds are created within the world and these peds are relayed the information that a gun was fired (unaltered by the script). I need to figure out a way to handle those peds too but im not sure how to do it yet...

Nah been busy getting another job and getting ready for college. This weekends pretty full too but ill see what I can do. I really want it to work too! :D

Also, anyone can feel free to edit the code and post here about it.

i've made a working silencer script, but i just need the recoil animation when firing the gun or need to know how to disable shooting...
