Please explain why you're reporting this file:

This little mod allows the user to change a lot of the values listed in the weaponinfo.xml and handling.dat files in-game. This means no-more restarting the game when developing new weapons or vehicles!

Aside of that, the mod also allows the user to create documentation for other structures, and edit the documentation for the existing structures (CWeaponInfo and CVehicleInfo). This can be useful if the offsets change in later patches, or if new parameters are found.

Do you have any idea of how long I've been bitching about having to shut down IV just to change one thing in the handling line, just to have to load up again to test it? 10/10 No questions man.

10/10. I haven't even tried it, don't know if it works for me(although I'm sure it works).. but 10/10 for the IDEA and EFFORT.

P.s. By the way, how do I bring up "si_gui" console command?

Also, I have 1.0.7 retail version of GTA 4... I only changed "handling.dat" on 2 or 3 cars using GTAIV Handling Editor... rest is 100% authentic. I want to change those in-game, will it crash?

Only some things work in vehicles. But the others like collision damage mult only excepts 0 -.-..

ANSWER FROM ANOTHER USER: If I am not mistaken is the console. NET Scripthook and activate with the tilde ~ ......On Microsoft Windows by pressing the keys in sequence 1, 2 and 6 (on the numeric keypad) while holding down the Alt key

someone please explain how you get this to edit the handling. the console is up but i can't edit anything, it doesn't even have the names of the cars.. help?

Hey all, author here. Glad you guys like it :). Hopefully this'll save some time.

I just stumbled upon this upload *TODAY*. I have not uploaded this file to this website, someone else did. No problem for me - I made my work so it can be shared - but it's annoying in the sense that it leaves users without support (how can I reply to questions I don't know exist?).

If you want support by me, post question in the mod's topic @ ( I will be notified of new posts in that topic, so ask questions THERE. This will be my first and *last* post here. Same goes for any other gtamodding sites really. I am *only* active on The only mods *I* uploaded are in my gtagarage ( or on my github ( Again - if you see my mods on any other sites: no problem, but I will not be going there to provide support.

To answer some asked questions:

1. The console I'm talking about is the .Net scripthook console. Open with the '~' key (next to the '1'). It may be another key if you don't have regular US keyboard!

2. It doesn't matter if you have a modded handling.dat or weaponinfo.xml. StructEdit simply doesn't care. So both modded and unmodded files are supported.

3. I'm not planning to provide support for timecyc or visualsettings, because I don't have the time / don't feel like it. Give me an incentive and I might do it ;).

4. If nothing shows up: you are probably not using IV 1070. EFLC and other patches are currently not supported. If you know your way around CheatEngine, it should be easy to update the offsets in the .sif files though. I'm not able to update the offsets because I don't have EFLC (give it to me and I'll do my bests :P), and I don't feel like reinstalling every patch to be able to support it.

5. For users who can't type the '_' character in the .Net scripthook console:

I change the Car Values to the following for INSANE grip and Speed together

DriveForce: .44

MaxCurve: 2

MinCurve: 3

m_SuspensionForce (or something) - try 4 to 6

You will have a Tesla Model S... 0-60 in 2.8 seconds :)
