Another mod inspired by GTA V, this time a little TANK ^^

The model is not the same from V but is very good (IMO).

@MKIIIX:in GTAIV/pc/data/maps/generic and open the procobj.img with openiv and add those files.

@MKIIIX: if you us openiv package installer you just need to select the .oiv file and openiv does the rest for you, otherwise do what Rangky said.

@ShaunJohnson: sounds are complex for me, never made a car sound mod, also this kind of mod would require a lot of research to find/obtain the sounds

@iAllen07: not sure man, this would need a animated object to fake the movement, and i dont know how to make anims yet :(

@SkylineGTRFreak: yeah man, some days ago i was looking into my paused projects folder and saw the files you sent me that time, i did some changes (moved pivots and edited textures, materials, extras and colision) and finally was able to finish our project

@Khanage: i made a change that will delete any ripley that is not created by the script and its away from player (+5 distance), so, it should delete any ripley created by game that is being drived by a normal ped, download the mod again, now the file name is "Tank V Style 2.zip"

COOL!

I tried BuzzardV and this MOD together and it just added missile and minigun to tank!

It can be a good step for making death race script!

I also have an idea for you:)

COD MW3 MOD!

in witch we can play deathmatch with peds and earn killstreaks wich some of'em are already made!

Such as AC-130 or EMP shockwave!

AH6 or juggernut armor assult-dron and so on...

I just cant wait for such a mod will be awsome!

This just doesn't work for me.

Manual or automatic installation, the tank doesn't shoot and the turret doesn't move. I added the tank model as m1ab.wft/wtd in my newveh.img for the manual one, didn't replaced ripley.

Even tried redownloading the new version of the script but didn't changed anything. And yes, i put the correct model name in the ini file.

I have other scripts such as BuzzardV, minigun and the P996 Lazer.

No, i just spawn the tank with SNT. Model is called m1ab.wft and the ini was generated after first run of the game with the script. I just had to quit and change the value ripley to m1ab

Guys if you spawn Ripley and you be in it the script wouldn't work you have to enter Riplsy so the sript will work! that's all! :)

@.:Shadow:. Battlefield is much better than that :P. By count of features COD is like demo of BF. So i basically agree with creating something like that but also maybe something on larger areas. BTW GTA 4 multiplayer has feature of DM/TDM on small maps.

@JulioNIB Hei man can you make FPS mod with cool weapon potitioning,make it with no bug,and working for niko and all peds(Not like C0balt FPS mode which that have a lot of bug and when you using ped model the bug will approach) and War mod which that the Russian invasion come to LC to attacking Niko,peds,and cops and the Russian is also have Randomed weapons,a lot of area in LC is captured by the Russian and please make the Russian using choppers and the other heavy vehicles and Make it realistic like in MW3 missions

and you can use the dron in iron man script as dragonfire in Black Ops II !

@JulioNIB dude can you make a tuning garage mod so that eerytime you drive into a pay n spray you can select body parts add neon lights and if possible change tyres. I think that would be cool ust to give it that gta v feel

about russian war, its cool, i will update my buzzard to create an "AI" attacker that would use buzzard rockets and minigun, imagine tank fighting buzzards, also tanks working as a team against another team, * thats complex ^^

Awesome! Just a couple of suggestions:

- Belt, guess you already have an idea of how you're gonna do this..

- When speed is 0 let the A and D keys rotate the tank, so we can rotate the tank on the spot like a real tank

- Modify the model of the tank to have 2 "invisible" wheels (no texture) as the front wheels of the tank so that the 2 front gears wont turn sideways. Looks really weird now. LOLS.

Btw one weird thing, why can i only seem to crush cars the first time i run into them? If i try to reverse into the crushed car i can't seem to crush them anymore, will just drive over them without any damage done

Excellent mod but for my EFLC I spawn the ripley the top half with turret pops off to the side and I'm running a convertible tank no shooting or crosshair just a heavy tank! I checked the log file and all scripts successfully loaded. I used the sciphook and asi loader that came with oiv file. Did I just find out this only works for Niko GTA? Please tell me no! I'll try that version now!

@Lsabro Are you spawning the tank/ripley with the trainer?

That way doesn't works, you must get the real working tank in the north end of the airport. Check one of the videos to see where it is, i had the same confussion by adding the tank ;)

Hey mate I downloaded it today & this is the 1st time your mod is not working for me, the tank does not spawn at airport, don't know how a jet plane of your P-996 mod model was near the airport runway when I have not installed, when tried to find the tank by roaming around the airport area, the tank model just flickered & vanished, and when spawning it with the help of SNT, it does not fires, the turret and the whole upper part of tank body breaks with a hit of any vehicle, lots of taxi bug. Can anybody help for fix a please?

Ripley model is always in airport no mather you install this mod or not!

this only replaces it with tank and add cannon on it :)

Is that complicated?!

As I said before you have to get out of it and then again enter it with pressing "f" then the script will become active!

Ok. I'm gonna tell you how did it worked for me so all can have this cool MOD.

If you do the same it should work for you unless something else be wrong!

1_Extract Tank V Style.oiv (by winrar or 7zip ...) if you dont want it to install automaticly!

2_put all files in content folder in your gta-IV folder exept for models!

3_add cj_proc_slab1.wdr & cj_proc_slab2.wdr & cj_proc_stone_1.wtd to pcdatamapspropscommercialbeauty.img

4_replace ripley.wft & ripley.wtd in pcmodelscdimagesvehicles.img

5_change Ripley handling with this:

RIPLEY 68000.0 1.0 35 0.0 0.0 -1.0 0.5 3 0.095 1.0 201.0 0.2 0.5 0.7 50.0 0.4 2.5 9.0 0.15 0.47 1.8 1.0 1.0 0.4 -0.1 0.0 0.5 0.1 0.0 0.2 1.0 0.4 40000 000008 8300080 2

You can copy it from handling edit.txt in models folder!

And you're done. have fun!

@sgt.bellinaso: the tank fly probably because you installed a plane that replaced Ripley, check your vehicles.ide and handling.dat to see if you find the lines that make the tank fly ^^

I have ask the forum about it but they didn't know it, they say it doesn't work to scaling the player bone in 3ds max and import it ingame

@julionib, yes there is no giant size nico skin mod yet, I had search over google, and none to be found

I had ask a pro skin modder like Ac.amir & wadpedele how to make a giant skin nico but no respond from both of the guys

@Yellow_Car901: the readme its with wrong info hehe, the location is at procobj.img (pcdatamapsgenericprocobj.img), if you use openiv package installer it do all for you

Hey Julio, your script still working great but there is a minor problem.

In the first version, i used SNT's God Mode to make the tank completely invulnerable. But now seems like it is independent from it, because even with Total God Mode enabled the tank gets destroyed after some time of chase (10 min or so). I guess the new script gives the tank a set amount of health, and i want to know if its possible to edit that. I know its realistic, but this is also a videogame :P (and because realism this game sucks without mods)

@Augustboiboi: the ideal is use a animated object, but we dont have too much people that know how to do this, at this tims im limited to the 6 extra use, so, it have 6 frames, this is why looks Lag ^^

@iAllen07: rage x project, my modding list is big and i cant remember all now, but includes spiderman, batman, thor, death race car, etc.

@JulioNIB i think i understand what you mean, but does it have variable speed now? When i move the tank very slowly it feels like the tracks are going much faster, at a fixed speed

@iAllen07: for V maybe some planes with "breakable" wings (in theory), bike is a very wanted one but need people to make anims.

@JulioNIB Frankly speaking i'd prefer to have it slower and have extremely low framerates and see it shutter then to see it move faster than its supposed to be... Would it be a hassle to make it an option? Of course having more frames would solve everything but could be a nice temporary solution

Just a suggestion for the the fighter jet. Do you think you could use the same trick as the tank extra parts to make the ailerons and rudder? Could be for the breakable wings too :)

@Augustboiboi: its possible add a option for that, in jet we cant use extra because each time we show/hide a extra game resets vehicle doors to closed state, this result in flaps that are doors moving when extra is toggle :(

Ah i see. but counting all the parts we need, we will need 9 parts in total: Elevators(together), 2 ailerons, rudder, 2 breakable wings, 3 sets of wheels. Is that too many? :/

the big problem is create all those objects, gta can become instable when people mod it too much, for example, the purple fire dont work for some people (2 at this moment) because game just cant create the object, lets say that gta is not safe but can be done

Gahh only if its written from the ground up i guess. Your scripts are awesome, but we still gotta wait for GTA V which is written from the ground up for stuffs like jets i guess :) Would love to see what you could do with that

yep, things on V are vry different, they have a very difference physics system i guess, the Fighter jet can reach very high speeds (if you fly high and them go against ground accelerating), the wheels fo cars "detach" on big collisions or when we apply too much pressure in the car:

we can try to recreate some details but the result never will be the same, i really want this game for pc, but i guess taht the Online mode will be a mess if who creates the scripting/modding tools dont apply limitations for MP like happens in IV :(

Hey @JulioNIB is it possible to make a "GTA v style water" mod or San Andreas for that matter that could make it possible to dive under water and use submarine mods properly? I know it's not that interesting to be under water because there is no seabed most places and where there is its just sand but if you (or anybody, I don't really know if this is your type of mod but yea) made it the seabed could be implemented in the GTA V total map conversion mod which hopefully will be finished and released soon. I'm looking forward to see your future mods

water is complicated, game locks camera to avoid going under water, we can keep pushing until it breaks the "barrier" but is nto a same method, we cant confirm that will work always

@julioNIB how about completely overwriting the camera that it even removes clipping?

HELP!!!

GTA IV won't work after installing this mod! I used the OpenIV file, AND I manually installed it as well. This mod is amazing so I would love to get a fix or update.

@JulioNIB One of two things:

1 - The game does not start. After logging in to RSGC, nothing else goes on.

2 - After I take out Scripthooks, I load up the game and I go to 'PLAY GTA IV' and it crashes during loading screens.

you have problems with the ASI loader or scriptHook version, what is your game patch version? do you have .net framework 4.0 installed?

My game is 1.0.7.0, and everything is installed as it should be. I have not had a problem (with this install of GTA) before now.

well, the max my setup does is edit handling, replace a vehicle and two models, also copy the ASI loader and scripthook if you choose, what you can do to find the source of the problem is remove first the script hook and test, then ASI loader, then models, then handling

@Krebs in order to play a modded GTA IV, you need to run the game as an administrator. just highlight the game icon, right click, and choose "run as administrator"

I can't enter the tank with or without the scripts. I might have not install them right but i don't know what i did wrong.

Oh. . face a.problem after installation of this mod, I can't see any vehicle in game, and also unable to spawn vehicle by trainner
