Recommend you to turn down your traffic density because this mod also tries to let more cars spawn. If even 1 is too much, let me know, I'll tweak that.

No. At the very least you should see busses driving around after some time. Even at traffic density 1.

Yeah, the fix might not work correcly on EFLC due to other cars. Might add support for it, but for now I'm done with this.

The mod isn't loaded, look at the memory address. I can't reproduce the problem however, but try to download MSVCR100D.dll instead. :)

I have ASI loader, scripthook, and traffic mod.
When I put MSVCR100D.dll in the main game folder, GTA doesn't start and says "GTA IV has stopped working, a problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Please close the program."
I had to delete MSVCR100D.dll for my game to work. I even downloaded from 3 different sources and still no luck.
Does anyone have an idea whats going on? Help would be so much appreciated. :(

I installed a new scripthook and now my game loads with MSVCR100D, however after driving around in the same car for awhile the taxis start to come back.

But a little lag... and after some large cutscene (like final credits) as Thieme said, game crash.

As for the crashes, I'm working on that.
I recommend using patch 1.0.4.0, xliveless, latest scripthook with specified scripthookdotnet asi for 1.0.4.0 patch. this configuration is working flawless for me.
what do you recommend on VRAM and RAM
coz i've been thinking about switching to 64 bit and add another 4 gb of ram to a total of 8 GB
would that be ideal? or is it the VRAM that matters. in that case i have 1.2 GB only...
I was experiencing this issue myself and it wasn't due to me using the wrong files. Took me a long time to figure out but it was due to the fact that both ScriptHook.dll and ScriptHookDotNet.asi need write access to the main GTA IV directory and in Windows 7 the directory is write protected by default if it resides in "Programs Files(x86)" (64-bit Win 7) / "Program Files" (32-bit Win 7) unless you have UAC disabled which is not recommended. This could be the same in Windows Vista but I wouldn't know.
Anyhow, to resolve the issue all you need to do is right-click the "Rockstar Games" folder in your program directory, select "Properties" from the drop down list and click on the "Security" tab. Then click the "Edit" button and in the new dialogue box select the "Users" group (eg. mine is listed as Users(Mo0rk/Users") at the top of the box and check the "Allow" checkbox next to "Full Control". This selects all appropriate checkboxes for read/write access to the directory. Next select the TrustedInstaller group and do the same for that (probably not necessary but I like to do it anyway). Now click "Apply" and close the dialogue box. Now navigate inside the "Rockstar Games" folder, right-click on "Grand Theft Auto IV" and do the same thing to that folder. You might also like to uncheck the "Read Only" checkbox on the general tab for this folder whilst your at it.
Once that's done, you should be able to enjoy script mods!
Oh yeah, one last thing, if you're running patch 1.0.4.0, you will need ScriptHook.dll version 0.4.0 as 0.5.1 doesn't work with that version.

I know it cant be a hardware issue either when I have 8GB of ram and a 1GB video card
lower your viewdistance and detaildistance a little bit. I think
1 Gb Vram is not enough.. especially if you re using icenahncer. had the same problem

So you had a 1GB of Vram and now you have a 2GB+ and it doesnt fail to load buildings/roads??
the mod works but all the cars have same colors (gray colors)
1.Open vehicles.ide and change lodmult to 1, this is the vehicles lording distance.(Default setting is 1-5) 1 is the lowerest setting.
2.create a commandline.txt in GtaIV and add -availablevidmem 2
By the way, somebody told me the elder vision TrafficLoadV4 is better, because it doesnt fail to load building anymore.
Feels like it´s the ram that effects the textures or can like little more than 200mb vram make such a big difference. On my old computer I only used a very low end enb setting and nothing else but modded cars and such stuff.
If this stop crashing my game I will continue using it but right now I wanna play the game not just start over all the time.
10/10 for the script but 1/10 for crashes every 5-10 min.
I also had crashes with the normal version + traffic density 1 but the low traffic version and density 20-30 i don't have any crashes anymore.

Tested for 20 minutes and still no disappearing textures or car sounds by now, it works!
Gonna test it for more than 1 hour and see, but at the moment obviously 10/10.

The only small issues i see is supercars (comet, turismo, infernus, coquette...) are too frequent sometimes.

In unmodded GTA 4, I have no textures or any problem like this, my game runs smoothly and perfectly but now I have too many mods:
Levo's ENB Settings + Mega Car Pack (replaces all of vehicles with real ones, high-poly models) + Better City Textures + Grim's Weapon Pack and weapon sounds
Jotov, that's because the game is more or less at its limits regarding amount of different cars. In the next version you can decrease the amount of different cars (or increase it).

TuCoT, do not use so called optimisation programs, a good managed Windows installation works better than a trashed one with a thousand 'tune-up' programs. Remove them, defragment, remove unnessesary programs. Even better, install a 64bit OS, you are wasting 2GB. (Total amount of RAM usable is 3,2GB, you have 4+1=5GB). You may also wait for the next version where you can choose how many cars are loaded in a cycle before deletion.
Would be nice if it were possible to make cars spawn in front of u more often so u don´t like drive on your own on your side of the road. Other than that it´s a really nice mod.
For those who have the missing texture bug: Too many car mods...all these carpacks are tooo heavy for GTA, try to choose only small car mods, there are many nice car mods with only 1,5mb wtf. I have about 10-13 car mods, only the best of the best and thats the limit, if I install only one car more i get the texture missing Problem. Even with 6gb Ram and GTX480 with 1,5 VRAM

After that, I found out my added new cars can't be loaded anymore. Tried to edit the Cargrp.dat for many time but no help.
I heard you are working on added cars and bikes. How is it going? If you can get the added cars loaded that would make the game more wonderful.

Reducing 'carspercycle' makes my game more stable and almost without texture problems.
I've noticed that issues specially when using ingame trainer, maybe ain't they compatible?
Now I can load my custom new cars by using this!
I will keep on testing and report any issues.

Texture loading issues becomes most obvious when using custom cars. I have an i7-2600k and a GTX 580 and still cannot run this with custom cars on all slots.
I am using about ~20 custom cars, however many are boats/choppers. All in all I would use a maximum of 5 or 6 custom cars when dealing with models that spawn regularly. You can replace a couple sports cars and a couple supercars too as they spawn less often, however do not replace more as these custom cars tend to have very high definition textures. Most people start experiencing these texture issues (using high-end PCs) once they add more than 10-12 cars so I would set that as the limit. That does not include boats/choppers (although I recommend using lower res custom vehicles for these as they stay loaded quite often when near water).
Additionally, do not change the models for the taxis, cabbys, busses, and regular cop vehicles. These are ALWAYS loaded up in-game so you will be saving lots of resources by keeping them stock.
Lastly, this mod contains an .ini file that can be adjusted to help performance. I have traffic density at 50% (still seems to be plenty) and I have set the # of cars to spawn as 8, down from 20. The developer recommends 15 as a minimum, however I have found 8 clearly helps with the texture load-in issues while still providing a decent amount of variety.

Anyway, I'd like to know, is there a set amount of car cycles beyond which IV can't handle and crashes? Above 20, my game keeps getting CTDs after 10 minutes or so.
It's a great mod but need a high end pc to handle.
I have a suggest system requirements here for you:

With these I can use it Ped/Car density=1000 smoothly for an hour.

@ people having trouble with loading: try adding '-availablevidmem 2.0' to your commandline.txt, game should then load everything faster.
@ people with crashes: I can't fix that, it's just the way Rockstar did something. That might also be the reason why there are taxis everywhere, some fail-safe thing I think. You might lower the amount of cars being loaded so that they get deleted faster, but generally it's not much help.
Sorry for not being able being active and such, but I have kind of abandoned the whole GTA-thing. Still dropping by sometimes though.

I have 10 cars (about 5mb per car) and i start with default density settings (100 cars, 100 ped). Everything works fine but the streets was quite empty. So i try to go higher with density. Than i end with settings 500cars/1000ped and the game was looking awesome! So i try to testing it and racing for the Brucie. But after 20-30min textures starting to missing:( I play another 5min than i died and when i was reborn the texture problem was huge! I don see anything around me:( I try to play for a few minutes, the problem was quite better but textures was loading very slow and some still missing:(

My processor is a core i5 that runs at 4.4ghz, and I have 8gb of ram. The fact that a "lack of memory" is what is causing this, is unbelievable.
Without this i get a taxi bug. With this, I get texture bugs. It seems like with GTA 4, you are screwed no matter what you do.

Your the man Domi, but one problem persists: game crashes after 10 mins of play and my vid card and processor are too hot. 75º C vid card and 55ºC process,

I originally installed this because I used modded ELS models for the entire police fleet for LCPD Police Response 0.95. I had the issue of only seeing Taxis and the occasional police vehicle. I installed this and wow!.. I am seeing variations of cars, colors and models I don't think I ever ran into.
This is great, it makes the game a lot more realistic. Any and every car within GTA 4 files appear any and everywhere. Amazing IKT, thanks!

For those who had problems with crashes!
My crashed everytime there was a traffic jam before but i simply lowered the cycle to 15 instead of 20 and now it's working perfect.
The only problem is the sort of "loading lag". But which I mean, every turn you make (with your view/camera) things are loading right in front of you at any distance.
This is really annoying as it basically shows you the world unloaded for like a second or two and it's just constantly loading every turn you make.
I know this world is streamed, but this is not what happens without this mod.
As it stands now, it's pretty bad either way (with or without the mod). Cause I wanted to spruce up the game with new cars, but they won't show without this mod. But then with this mod, the environment lags with loading.
I hate Rockstar's laziness so much right now... They're NOT good game-developers... They leave it to good programmers, like a bunch of the creators behind the mods here, to basically attempt to fix the game and make it better than it is.
Mark my words, you can kick Rockstar's ass if you team up and build a game from scratch.
Anyway, would you also know a way to fix this "loading lag" that is caused by ROCKSTAR's shitty optimizing?...
Then I finally removed this mod for another traffic-mod, and it turns out that this mod was the cause of the terrible pop-up, I'm sorry to say.

this method is liitle working but still problem texture loading issue
all i did was removed Trainer.asi and Trainer.ini from Simple Trainer Version 6.5. i think there is some kind of conflict between the files for this trainer and TrafficLoad.
my gta4 version is 1.0.7.0, using Script Hook v1.7.1.7 BETA, and xliveless-0.999b7.
for the car mod pack, i'm using Realistic Car Pack v4 by ogiogi93 with a lot of additional custom cars replacing the cars in the pack.
if you're not using Simple Trainer Version 6.5 and getting all sorts of issues with TrafficLoad, then it must be something else for you. at least for me, it was those two files in the trainer and after removing them the game no longer hangs up in forever loading loop nor does it crash anymore. the only issue is the popping textures that's still present. i'm currently using these commandline values and it seems to somewhat ease the textures problem.
