TrafficLoad is a simple traffic loading fix, for people who have modded cars and get the issue of always the same car appearing. It is also a welcome addition for people who wish to have more diverse traffic and/or want more control of the amount of traffic appearing.

Everyone

Recommend you to turn down your traffic density because this mod also tries to let more cars spawn. If even 1 is too much, let me know, I'll tweak that.

No. At the very least you should see busses driving around after some time. Even at traffic density 1.

People using EFLC

Yeah, the fix might not work correcly on EFLC due to other cars. Might add support for it, but for now I'm done with this.

Rest of people (like olli9471) etc with problems loading the fix

Are you already sure you can use .asi mods? Works fine here.

Im sure that i can use .asi mods. Simple native trainer is working fine. Even my ASI log shows that the mod was loaded.

But i still cant see any differences. Only taxis, the modded car and some busses re appearing while i play -.-

Ok I have no clue how to get this mod to work. Ive installed it correctly and I have both Script Hook and ASI loader working fine. The game starts up and it takes me to the menu screen to start the game. I hit start, get the loading screens and then when the screen goes black and I get the loading message I get an error that crashes out the game. Any clue as to why its not working past the load screen? Oh and GTA works fine without the mod but with it... its a NO GO.

I have that but I still can't run it. For some reason the game crashes when it tries to load. I can get to the start screen and see the characters loading screens but once it starts loading from the black screen it crashes. Works fine without it. Not sure what Im missing exactly. I have my game patched to 1.0.4.0 but is there some other files or program Im missing? I have both script hook and asi loader. I dont get it.

The mod isn't loaded, look at the memory address. I can't reproduce the problem however, but try to download MSVCR100D.dll instead. :)

Could someone please help me? I downloaded MSVCR100D.dll, extracted to my desktop, then copied into the main GTAIV file. My game won't load now.

I have ASI loader, scripthook, and traffic mod.

When I put MSVCR100D.dll in the main game folder, GTA doesn't start and says "GTA IV has stopped working, a problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Please close the program."

I had to delete MSVCR100D.dll for my game to work. I even downloaded from 3 different sources and still no luck.

Does anyone have an idea whats going on? Help would be so much appreciated. :(

rakakak, lower your traffic density or move around a bit. Cars are deleted but only if they can escape normally. Or just accuire a 2+ wanted level ;)

Tushiecakes, what version do you have? Also can you use other mods normally?

I looked in GTAIV.exe but couldnt find my version, so I really don't know.

I installed a new scripthook and now my game loads with MSVCR100D, however after driving around in the same car for awhile the taxis start to come back.

My asilog says...

To use this mod and other GTAIV mods you need those files in your GTA main directory:

- dsound.dll AsiLoader (http://tinyurl.com/dheu2d)

- ScriptHook.dll for version 1.0.4.0 (http://tinyurl.com/3skanan) and for version 1.0.7.0 (http://tinyurl.com/3lfoz22)

- ScriptHookDotNet.asi (http://tinyurl.com/3lk98f9)

- FileCheckFix.asi for 1.0.4.0 (http://tinyurl.com/3zv79ls) and for version 1.0.7.0 is not needed

- For Steam users who downgraded to 1.0.4.0 you need to install a font file here (SteamSteamAppscommongrand theft auto ivGTAIVcommondata) or you wan't have any text in the menu anymore (http://tinyurl.com/3ex3cd8)

Works like a charm except for one thing. I am still doing missions and whenever i go into a pretty long cutscene my game tends to crash. I have my trafficdensity at 1 already so can't go any lower. I am using version 1.07 and i have all files needed.

i set traffic density to 1 and later to 2 and game no more crash! thx! later i tryed set it to 10 but i get crash in 5 mins :D....now i try set it to 5...for more cars :D (sry for bad english...im from slovakia :D)

ASI files will not work for me no matter what I do. I have them all in the right place and no matter what whenever I try to load the game it crashes right after the characters load screen.

After installing MSVCR100D, finally it works! (1.0.4.0) (xlive+Scripthook+Scripthookdot.net)

But a little lag... and after some large cutscene (like final credits) as Thieme said, game crash.

Keep up the good work 'coz this should be the best traffic fix!

oh this is really really hard homework,,,I think when all of traffic is flooding out with 3or5MB size in every car mod,,,it will blow up my game ,like a losing all of city texture in a second

This one's a good mod i would say as far as the taxi bug is concerned because i myself never really became obsessed with the changes i could have made to cars which usually appear in liberty city apart from the TAXI or the whole line of emergency vehicles so i would say if someone is a big fan of default cars with edited emergency vehicles and taxi's this is just something perfect for them no texture issues no crashes just nothing if you don't have a huge line of edited cars in your game then is something for you default car lovers ! :)

I have a slight issue. I have asi loader and scripthook installed and simple trainer 6.3. The trainer loads and runs fine but when I check the scripthook text doc I see that only the trainer gets loaded. TrafficLoad doesn't seem to. v1.0.7.0 just so you know.

for those who don't know nor possibly realize this. xliveless has a built in ASI loader.

I recommend using patch 1.0.4.0, xliveless, latest scripthook with specified scripthookdotnet asi for 1.0.4.0 patch. this configuration is working flawless for me.

one more question

what do you recommend on VRAM and RAM

coz i've been thinking about switching to 64 bit and add another 4 gb of ram to a total of 8 GB

would that be ideal? or is it the VRAM that matters. in that case i have 1.2 GB only...

I recommend you to turn down your settings. I do recommend a 64 bit OS, but 3+GB RAM and a graphics card with 512MB amount of RAM need a 64-bit OS to function optimally.

To those getting crashes after the characters loading screens when starting or loading a game from the main menu:-

I was experiencing this issue myself and it wasn't due to me using the wrong files. Took me a long time to figure out but it was due to the fact that both ScriptHook.dll and ScriptHookDotNet.asi need write access to the main GTA IV directory and in Windows 7 the directory is write protected by default if it resides in "Programs Files(x86)" (64-bit Win 7) / "Program Files" (32-bit Win 7) unless you have UAC disabled which is not recommended. This could be the same in Windows Vista but I wouldn't know.

Anyhow, to resolve the issue all you need to do is right-click the "Rockstar Games" folder in your program directory, select "Properties" from the drop down list and click on the "Security" tab. Then click the "Edit" button and in the new dialogue box select the "Users" group (eg. mine is listed as Users(Mo0rk/Users") at the top of the box and check the "Allow" checkbox next to "Full Control". This selects all appropriate checkboxes for read/write access to the directory. Next select the TrustedInstaller group and do the same for that (probably not necessary but I like to do it anyway). Now click "Apply" and close the dialogue box. Now navigate inside the "Rockstar Games" folder, right-click on "Grand Theft Auto IV" and do the same thing to that folder. You might also like to uncheck the "Read Only" checkbox on the general tab for this folder whilst your at it.

Once that's done, you should be able to enjoy script mods!

Oh yeah, one last thing, if you're running patch 1.0.4.0, you will need ScriptHook.dll version 0.4.0 as 0.5.1 doesn't work with that version.

Yeah the map texture problem is the only one I'm having. If I look one way then turn back the other the roads and buildings are gone for a second then they flash in...What am I doing wrong???

lower your viewdistance and detaildistance a little bit. I think

1 Gb Vram is not enough.. especially if you re using icenahncer. had the same problem

So you had a 1GB of Vram and now you have a 2GB+ and it doesnt fail to load buildings/roads??

I have just lowered my settings. I got 2x HD5850 in Crossfire but gta iv doesnt support crossfire/sli -.- so i can use 1 GB only. How much moded vehicles do you have?

If anyone have a issue with losing city texture should try this:

1.Open vehicles.ide and change lodmult to 1, this is the vehicles lording distance.(Default setting is 1-5) 1 is the lowerest setting.

2.create a commandline.txt in GtaIV and add -availablevidmem 2

By the way, somebody told me the elder vision TrafficLoadV4 is better, because it doesnt fail to load building anymore.

I´ve been testing this mod on my old computer which have 1024mb vram and 4gb ram and all textures disappear pretty quickly but doesn´t crash the game if I remember right. But on my new computer which has 12??mb Vram and 8gb Ram textures doesn´t disappear with Icehancer RealizmIV ultimate textures and maxed out settings in game except view distance and detail distance. The road textures can disappear but not often only when there ain't much cars on the streets. Still game crashes, tried to set vehicle density to 1 from 100, but only earned like 2 min. But until game crashes it works better than fine.

Feels like it´s the ram that effects the textures or can like little more than 200mb vram make such a big difference. On my old computer I only used a very low end enb setting and nothing else but modded cars and such stuff.

If this stop crashing my game I will continue using it but right now I wanna play the game not just start over all the time.

10/10 for the script but 1/10 for crashes every 5-10 min.

I also had crashes with the normal version + traffic density 1 but the low traffic version and density 20-30 i don't have any crashes anymore.

My game crashes when I use your mod after few minutes (5-10 minutes)

even if I use game booster, my game crash !

I use GTA 1.0.4, scriphook 0.4.0 and xlive.

I have 6G of ram

I've tried the old 'less trafic' version and it didn't crash yet, even after the final credits. The only point is traffic ia a bit less diverse, but it works meantime.

I wish final version will fix all that crashes

Have one other problem to my GTX570 has only 1240mb Vram and I ran everything on maximum settings in game including car density without any problem before this mod. But with this mod I don´t actually see so many cars on the streets. Maybe my graphic card just won´t let them in or I don´t know. I am runing ICEhancer 1.3 too without problems, but would be nice to have more cars on streets without crashes. Will try the normal traficload too seens I have reinstalled gta for ICEhancer 1.3 and some other issues.

mrali95. Get the new version. No issues on default settings and if your computer still can't take it, you can manually lower the amount of cars and peds, or if you can take it and want even MORE traffic, you can do that too.

It actually works better with the normal version with every settings on max, textures load much better and cars pretty much everywhere. Thx for this awesome mod. Didn't think my graphic card would run maximum settings, but it runs better than lower settings, maybe not in fps but anyway.

Was about to make a video about this mod, but when editing were done I realize that it was a big mistake. When I weregoing to save my clips my cimputer couldn't handle the game at the same time it was saving. In the videos the world disappears, might try to record with fraps if it doesn´t do the same. I´m running on an i5 2500k 4.2Ghz maybe should have gone for an i7 2600k would be nice in editing.

But thx @ikt for a really good mod, just to bad I can´t use it in videos

when i reset the customdensity back to 0 in the trafficload.ini config it seems that the game doesn't crash anymore 10 minutes in. Working well now great mod

This traffic fix is great, it normally gives a good diversity in traffic. And I was able to set the traffic and ped density up high enough to have the game look more like New York, and I'm pretty sure that my game runs a lot smoother than it did before.

I just wanted to say that you did a great job on this.

great mod does exactly what it should; however the textures keep disappearing on me. I really don't want to disable to mod, but this texture problem is real annoying. I didn't touch anything in the configuration files for the mode, and in game I'm set up at 100/100/65 for draw distance/???/traffic density. Anything I can do to rectify the texture problem, I'm running on a i5 2500k, GTX 570 system with 16 gb of ram.

dougr, use any commandline switches? If so, try to remove them. Also you might lower your settings.

Textures not loading on time is due to hardware, not the mod. Lower your setting or buy a new PC :p

Well, really works without crashing, this mod's getting better with each new version.

The only small issues i see is supercars (comet, turismo, infernus, coquette...) are too frequent sometimes.

And another weird one: after some playing time, car sounds are missing for a few moments when i steal one. Anybody had the same problem?

Great mod and I need this but when I install this mod, big texture missing problems occurs, how can we fix this?

Core i5 2400 3.1 Ghz

4 GB 1333 Mhz RAM (3,50 GB usable in 32 bit win 7)

ESET Smart Security 5 RC (with gaming mode enabled, real-time virus scanning and firewall are disabled when playing GTA 4)

In unmodded GTA 4, I have no textures or any problem like this, my game runs smoothly and perfectly but now I have too many mods:

Levo's ENB Settings + Mega Car Pack (replaces all of vehicles with real ones, high-poly models) + Better City Textures + Grim's Weapon Pack and weapon sounds

Lordofminor, that's because the script isn't loaded correctly. Read the readme thoroughly, there is sufficient info about that happening.

Jotov, that's because the game is more or less at its limits regarding amount of different cars. In the next version you can decrease the amount of different cars (or increase it).

fele_10lds, the readme.

TuCoT, do not use so called optimisation programs, a good managed Windows installation works better than a trashed one with a thousand 'tune-up' programs. Remove them, defragment, remove unnessesary programs. Even better, install a 64bit OS, you are wasting 2GB. (Total amount of RAM usable is 3,2GB, you have 4+1=5GB). You may also wait for the next version where you can choose how many cars are loaded in a cycle before deletion.

In my video I used 400 in custom car density and 5 000 in custom ped density. It works fine, but no way I can make a in game editor video for this, texture and peds just dissapears all the time.

Would be nice if it were possible to make cars spawn in front of u more often so u don´t like drive on your own on your side of the road. Other than that it´s a really nice mod.

For those who have the missing texture bug: Too many car mods...all these carpacks are tooo heavy for GTA, try to choose only small car mods, there are many nice car mods with only 1,5mb wtf. I have about 10-13 car mods, only the best of the best and thats the limit, if I install only one car more i get the texture missing Problem. Even with 6gb Ram and GTX480 with 1,5 VRAM

Hi ikt, you made this game more realastic! This mod is awesome! Trafficload really saved my ass from the yellow shit!

After that, I found out my added new cars can't be loaded anymore. Tried to edit the Cargrp.dat for many time but no help.

I heard you are working on added cars and bikes. How is it going? If you can get the added cars loaded that would make the game more wonderful.

I don't get it. There must be something else causing problems. I can understand, u not gonna be able to catch all that. I have 1.0.4.0., trainer working fine, ambient wars working, even TrafficFlow working. BUT TrafficLoad brings error message "The procedure entry point....something about ScriptHookManager could not be located in ScriptHook.dll.

So I tried this on 1.0.7.0 with the Mega Car Pack v7 from this site and it's quite a nice pack, but unfortunate even I are a victim of the texture load issue. I still have to try to see if it's being fixed by using Medium Texture Quality (On a Phenom II X4 980BE, 5770 GDDR5 1 GByte (On AutoConfigure I've got about 300 to 500 MByte VRAM Free)(AMD Catalyst 11.10 Preview 2))

EXPERIENCING TEXTURE ISSUES WITH THIS MOD?

Texture loading issues becomes most obvious when using custom cars. I have an i7-2600k and a GTX 580 and still cannot run this with custom cars on all slots.

I am using about ~20 custom cars, however many are boats/choppers. All in all I would use a maximum of 5 or 6 custom cars when dealing with models that spawn regularly. You can replace a couple sports cars and a couple supercars too as they spawn less often, however do not replace more as these custom cars tend to have very high definition textures. Most people start experiencing these texture issues (using high-end PCs) once they add more than 10-12 cars so I would set that as the limit. That does not include boats/choppers (although I recommend using lower res custom vehicles for these as they stay loaded quite often when near water).

Additionally, do not change the models for the taxis, cabbys, busses, and regular cop vehicles. These are ALWAYS loaded up in-game so you will be saving lots of resources by keeping them stock.

Lastly, this mod contains an .ini file that can be adjusted to help performance. I have traffic density at 50% (still seems to be plenty) and I have set the # of cars to spawn as 8, down from 20. The developer recommends 15 as a minimum, however I have found 8 clearly helps with the texture load-in issues while still providing a decent amount of variety.

Thanks for the info Mark :) but let me get this straight, of what I've been reading this mean, that with each cycle 8 cars are being spawned around u at an interval of 30 seconds?? And the texture issue isn't a fault of the mod nor the hardware folks, it's just that Rockstar made quite a lousy engine for the PC (If not a port). My friend told me this, since this game is quite old now and hell even Crysis 2 runs way better then this game ever will do on my hardware :)

Is there a cap on the actual ped/car density? I tried setting it to a thousand, then a hundred thousand; it was pretty much the same as 200.

Anyway, I'd like to know, is there a set amount of car cycles beyond which IV can't handle and crashes? Above 20, my game keeps getting CTDs after 10 minutes or so.

Hey gusy, this mod is great and no bugs but only the texture missings. So, this is a very heavy mod to use your game resources. Use it with Commandline.txt is necessary and not use too many big filesize modded cars or you would have missing textures.

It's a great mod but need a high end pc to handle.

I have a suggest system requirements here for you:

Core i7 2600K

8GB mem

GTX 560ti

With these I can use it Ped/Car density=1000 smoothly for an hour.

Scripthook 0.5.1 I downloaded only had a scripthook.dll in it. I didn't see a ScriptHookDotNet.asi. Is that why I can't get this mod working even though I'm pretty sure I've installed it right.

jumpman23: have you extracted msvcr100d.dll? If you do that it should work.

@ people having trouble with loading: try adding '-availablevidmem 2.0' to your commandline.txt, game should then load everything faster.

@ people with crashes: I can't fix that, it's just the way Rockstar did something. That might also be the reason why there are taxis everywhere, some fail-safe thing I think. You might lower the amount of cars being loaded so that they get deleted faster, but generally it's not much help.

Sorry for not being able being active and such, but I have kind of abandoned the whole GTA-thing. Still dropping by sometimes though.

Mod is great! But i have some isssues..

I have 10 cars (about 5mb per car) and i start with default density settings (100 cars, 100 ped). Everything works fine but the streets was quite empty. So i try to go higher with density. Than i end with settings 500cars/1000ped and the game was looking awesome! So i try to testing it and racing for the Brucie. But after 20-30min textures starting to missing:( I play another 5min than i died and when i was reborn the texture problem was huge! I don see anything around me:( I try to play for a few minutes, the problem was quite better but textures was loading very slow and some still missing:(

So i try to lower density.. i set 250car/500ped. The street is more empty, but textures are good. I played about one hour..cruising in the city..driving my CLK63AMG BLACK (awesome car with awesome handling!:)) and game was very stable. Than i go with Jacob to the show and in midle of the show game crashed. The first crash after few days of tweaking, testing and playing. But now is much better. I must only find the best line between density and performance.

But the mod is awesome! I seeing cars that i never saw befor:) And I dont need to store all of my moded cars to the parking place..i can only walk on the street and after few moments some awesome car is going around me:) Thanks a lot for the mod!!! Keep up the greate work!:) 10/10

I can't get this to work. I'm running 1.0.4 My first attempt kept popping up with

I then installed different scripthookdotnet files and got it to show the missing msvcp100d.dll. When I put that file in the directory the game will start, but crash while loading?

My GTX 580 has 1.5gb of vram. With Gionight's ENB series, better city textures, and fonias road mod, and NYC megacar pack.

My processor is a core i5 that runs at 4.4ghz, and I have 8gb of ram. The fact that a "lack of memory" is what is causing this, is unbelievable.

Without this i get a taxi bug. With this, I get texture bugs. It seems like with GTA 4, you are screwed no matter what you do.

Okay i am new to this. Just got vehicle mods working fine now :) im new but not a total noob im sure you are glad to hear that haha. I probably have the numbers worng in the config but Please tell me the correct ones to use? :) i do see a difference. Before this all that appeared were lots of one car (bmw x5/rebla i think?) and taxis now different cars show buuut each time a new car shows lots of the same car also appears. Reply as soon as you can. I will try post back if i get it right ;)

Your the man Domi, but one problem persists: game crashes after 10 mins of play and my vid card and processor are too hot. 75º C vid card and 55ºC process,

It even shows texture load problems in the video for this mod. This clearly needs more work.

Until then I'll just have taxis as my traffic. I want to be able to play the game.

there are no methods to fix definitly the textures "bug" . GTA just can't handle so much quantity of data . you'll have mods that fix the problem , but soon or later you'll get the problem back again . this bug has nothing to do with trafficload . there's only one way to get rid of the problem , it's to reduce the size of your vehicles.img as much as you can . try trafficload with an original vehicles.img , and you'll see what i'm talking about .

I can play up to 1 hr straight with no missing textures of any kind with the fix while my vehicles img. is 325mb opposed to no fix and orig vehicles img. (89mb) textures bug. So ur wrong mate

This file's effect is good. taxi will reduce and gereral cars will spawn on the street.

bug It must cause ground texture missing disppear bug....

when I set carpercycle "1" and test, cannot avoid this bug too.

this mod sort of works for me. When i use it allt he cars do diversify, but all my textures disappear. I have a 3.2ghz dual core processor, 4gb's of ram and a gtx 550 nvidia oc card from gigabyte, so i don't think its my system as it was working fine before them mod. could someone tell me how i can use the mod without the textures disappearing?

It spawns even traffic, but the ground and textures disappear and I'm just floating around. It's the mod because the textures loaded fine without it, but Taxi's were everywhere.

I just want a mod where its copy and paste this to here, done. Why all these horrible text documents explaining what to do, when teh fuckin person writing it cant speak english. All I want to do is fix my traffic spawning and i get "you need script hook", oh yeah, the well known fucking software...scripthook. Make is simple, not every one is an IT wizard and especially not the people making these who can't even issue instructions to something they did! A joke, 1 out of 10 for this

@jashanbhatia Actually I just found out a way to improve the textures. By opening all map files and rebuild them in openIV, U can reduce the file sizes dramatically and textures will load better. Also rebuild the vehicles.img, gtxd.img and componentpeds.img files. On each file I lost about 40-100mb, which is pretty good, and it made a big imrpovement ingame. (Note that U only have to rebuild the files U've modded) I have an GTX570 with 1280mb vram, and I have everything on it's max in game load distance is on 100. I'm still having some texture problems, but not as before and not very serious.

Hi! I've tried this mod and it works perfectly... for a while. Then the game crash with out of video memory error. I have 4GB RAM and a 2GB GPU memory, and Windows 7 64 bit (so all is available). I've tried reducing texture detail, but it always crash eventually (and not that long of a time, I've never been able to finish a mission before it crashed!) I've set the traffic density to 50 and ped density to 40, and cars per cycle to 10 in trafficload.ini. What else can I do?

Oh, BTW I've replaced almost all the cars in my GTA 4. So maybe having lots of them loaded into memory is a bit extreme. Is there a way to maybe make trafficload load fewer cars into the memory or something? I don't mind as long as there's some variety of cars show up, not just taxis and the car we currently drive. Maybe like 10 cars, then these 10 are replaced with diffferent cars after a while?

10/10.. most definitely!

I originally installed this because I used modded ELS models for the entire police fleet for LCPD Police Response 0.95. I had the issue of only seeing Taxis and the occasional police vehicle. I installed this and wow!.. I am seeing variations of cars, colors and models I don't think I ever ran into.

This is great, it makes the game a lot more realistic. Any and every car within GTA 4 files appear any and everywhere. Amazing IKT, thanks!

Doesn't work for me. Still seeing a bunch of the same 3 or 4 cars driving around, usually grouped together. Makes the game very unrealistic and makes you want to punch your throat.

@DefeatedSky It used to work for me and now all of a sudden it stopped spawning different vehicles. I didn't install any new mods and if I did, I removed them. Only about 5 different cars spawn along with taxis.

This works for me, pretty well.

The only problem is the sort of "loading lag". But which I mean, every turn you make (with your view/camera) things are loading right in front of you at any distance.

This is really annoying as it basically shows you the world unloaded for like a second or two and it's just constantly loading every turn you make.

I know this world is streamed, but this is not what happens without this mod.

As it stands now, it's pretty bad either way (with or without the mod). Cause I wanted to spruce up the game with new cars, but they won't show without this mod. But then with this mod, the environment lags with loading.

I hate Rockstar's laziness so much right now... They're NOT good game-developers... They leave it to good programmers, like a bunch of the creators behind the mods here, to basically attempt to fix the game and make it better than it is.

Mark my words, you can kick Rockstar's ass if you team up and build a game from scratch.

Anyway, would you also know a way to fix this "loading lag" that is caused by ROCKSTAR's shitty optimizing?...

Well, I've been using this mod for a while now, but I had terrible pop-up issues, as far as whole environments just not showing up anymore, or only very low LOD roads and buildings with gaps in between, basically looking THROUGH the game.

Then I finally removed this mod for another traffic-mod, and it turns out that this mod was the cause of the terrible pop-up, I'm sorry to say.

TO FIX TEXTURE LOADING ISSUES MAKE SURE THAT NO VEHICLE IN VEHICLE.IMG FILE IS MORE THAN 4 TO 4.5MB MAX LESS IS BETTER. OVERALL VEHICLE.IMG SIZE DOSEN'T MATTER!!! MY IMAGE IS ALMOST 400MB. USE DOUBLES IF NECCESSARY ON SOME VEHICLES. FERRARI TESSTAROSA IS VERY SMALL FILE SIZE. SO NO VEHICLE THATS COMBINED FILE SIZE MORE THAN 4.5MB. this solution worked for me. at least no more hang ups during loading after you complete missions. the forever loading loop and no more crashes. there is still the popping textures issue but it is bearable and i'm happy as long i can play with all the custom cars i've installed 20+.

all i did was removed Trainer.asi and Trainer.ini from Simple Trainer Version 6.5. i think there is some kind of conflict between the files for this trainer and TrafficLoad.

my gta4 version is 1.0.7.0, using Script Hook v1.7.1.7 BETA, and xliveless-0.999b7.

for the car mod pack, i'm using Realistic Car Pack v4 by ogiogi93 with a lot of additional custom cars replacing the cars in the pack.

if you're not using Simple Trainer Version 6.5 and getting all sorts of issues with TrafficLoad, then it must be something else for you. at least for me, it was those two files in the trainer and after removing them the game no longer hangs up in forever loading loop nor does it crash anymore. the only issue is the popping textures that's still present. i'm currently using these commandline values and it seems to somewhat ease the textures problem.

My game crashes with this mod I've tried everything but I can't seem to find a solution. The game works for like 30 minutes and then crashes to desktop.

OK! I found out a way to fix the texture load problem. type this in notepad:

-norestrictions -nomemrestrict -refreshrate 60 -availablevidmem 12.0 -percentagevidmem 100 -novblank -framelimit 0 -noprecache

(press enter between each one) Then save this as "Commandline". Then put it into your gta folder.

This worked for me.

also 10/10 for this mod. :)

Totally overrated, my pc never performed that bad. It's like I'm the only one who has the dissapearing textures mod. I've a 7770HD, it can run everything maxed out (res 1080, commandline -norestrictions) at 40 fps but it can't run this. I've tried every game booster out there turned everything off (except for the services that run GTA and windows 7) and I don't see any change.

I know how to fix this... change the whole script...

I know a good competitor, trafficcontrol, unfortunatly it sometimes crashes in about 10 min - 2 hours. I'll try my best to change this script.

Try to do something about this and don't wait for someone else who beats this to the ground.

Mod is working fine for me, but too bad it's slowing a game so much... especially when you replace most of the cars in game. My computer is not so weak, but with 77 new car mods I cannot play comfortable...

@iTing - I have the same problem - it's just too much for a video card, when game is loading all of the car models at the same time, for each 30 seconds (30 sec interval - correct me if I'm wrong). Especially when you replace many of cars.

Fantastic script mod ikt!! Its a lifesaver (or gamesaver!) for me, I was getting taxis only even after adding one or two modded vehicles. Now I can play with 80 modded vehicles (60 replaced, 20 additional) no problem.

This is by FAR the BEST traffic mod out. I have been having issues for weeks with my modded cars causing to only spawn one car and ton of taxi's. I have tried many other traffic mods that are suppose to fix this problem but not one of them would work properly. IE:car will disappear if you hijack it right from underneath your feet. IE2:textures will be missing and not load properly. I tried using a car pack instead of just changing one car at a time with The Evolved Car Pack v3.0 [TBOGT/EPM]. Nice cars but still same problem with taxi bug. In the readme from this pack from jotov_24, it suggested this traffic mod. I tried it and for the first time in about 48 long hours I had a smile on my face :) Thank You so much for this @ikt.

As for those who have problems handling the game with a lot of modded cars that would most likely be due to the fact that the cars you have modded probably have a large file size. original file sizes are roughly 100kb-400kb for a car. Many single car mods are 10mb or more. Don't matter how great your rig is that becomes a heavy burden on your memory and cpu.

I especially registerd so I could post this message.

I had the same texture problem as most of you. Now, with a PC with lower specs than most of you, GTA IV runs very well with the TrafficLoad mod.

What I did:

1.

Removed all +6MB cars. (I didn't want the vehicles.ide file to be to big)

2.

Kept all graphic settings low:

- 800x600

- all settings Low and shadows Off

- view distance 15

- detail distance 15

- vehicle density 5

3.

Added commandline.txt to GTA IV folder containing:

-availablevidmem 1.1

-norestrictions

-nomemrestrict

-refreshrate 60

-percentagevidmem 100

-novblank

-framelimit 1

-noprecache

4.

Changed TrafficLoad.ini:

PedDensityMultiplier=75

CarDensityMultiplier=75

CarsPerCycle=17

With these settings the game runs very good, fast and no texture problems. Only when I go to the map and then go back to the game, the textures need to reload, but it's fast enough to not complain.

Thx ikt for this great mod. That "taxi bug" is a real pain... ;) :)

how do I stop the added cars from spawning in my game. I want those cars only with me. These cars cause taxi bug and after this mod I'm experiencing texture problem that's why i dont want any added cars to be spawned. I dont have any original cars replaced!
