WHAT IT DOES
Slowed Movement
This script decreases your speed on foot, depending on the weapons, ammo, and cash you're carrying.
(All speed penalties can be tweaked.)
Hurrying
Holding ALT gives you a 20% speed boost. Doing this while sprinting uses Adrenaline, shown as a white bar under the radar.
(This can be tweaked or disabled.)
Weapon Bag
Large amounts of cash and all weapons except the knife and pistols are stored in a bag, not in your magic pockets. No gameplay effect, only visual.
(This can be tweaked or disabled.)
Weapon Removal
Pressing * on the numpad drops the current weapon permanently. While unarmed, hold PageDown and press * to remove armor.
(This can be disabled.)

HOW TO INSTALL
This is a script for HazardX's .NET scripthook. Just place the files in the 'scripts' folder of the scripthook.

TIPS
— Tweak the settings in the INI file to suit your preferences.
— Drop weapons you don't need to avoid being slowed down too much.
— If you want to get rid of weapons without losing them permanently, try my Weapon Storage mod.
— Having 1% armor affects your speed the same as 100% armor. When your armor gets low, it might be a good idea to just remove it.
— To avoid being slowed down too much by your cash, use my Bank Account mod to store money at ATMs. Or set the cash speed penalty to 0.0.
— For realism, I recommend editing your WeaponInfo.xml file and decreasing the max ammo for every weapon to something realistic.
— Adrenaline recharges more slowly when you're moving fast.
— After the "MaxTotalPenalty" in the INI is reached, additional weight just makes the hurry button less effective, until hurrying has no effect.

KNOWN BUGS
— Unfortunately, you can't get weapons back after dropping them, due to script limitations. See here for an alternate version that I use, with (sometimes buggy) weapon drops that you can pick back up.
— Melee weapons disappear when dropped, instead of falling to the ground.

What an awesome script,very realistic and just an excellent idea and i love how it works with the other scripts you have made,especialy the ATM script which is my favorite. 10/10

I was looking for something slightly similar to this. But I was looking more for something that made Niko run faster. Not super human fast. Not even really fast. But just a little faster than he already runs. Do you think you could make something like that? Preferably something that worked with a controller and something that allowed you to tweak the speed settings.

@Xangr8: I don't have EFLC, but I know that EFLC melee/thrown weapons won't slow you down. Other than that, I think it should work.

I tried the bag thing and its cool. It even shows up in the cut scenes! Now, after a while I kind of got annoyed carrying the bag all the time. I mean, I can only imagine when I buy my nice suit and still carrying the bag. I guess this is one of those moments when too much realism is not always aesthetically practical.

You say I can disable the bag option but when I change it to "false" in the ini I'm still carrying the bag. Btw, how do you get the brown bag that looks like backpack?

@lorca: Ah, the bag gets saved when the game is saved. Disabling the setting doesn't remove it next time you load, since that would mess up other mods that give you a bag/vest. So here's a quick fix: load the game with the script below, then save. Then you can get rid of the fix script.

As for the backpack, you get that if you only have light weapons (SMG, explosives) or $65,000–$500,000. Big weapons or $500,000+ gives you the duffel bag.

Thanks! Btw, even though I'm new to the GTA series I want to take this opportunity to thank you for your scripts. In my opinion, after browsing all of the mods on this site, I've noticed that you and @hippieCommunist are one of the best scripters in GTA4. I hope you're still here when GTA 5 arrives.

How do I get the bag!? I got the mod in the 'script' folder now, how do I activate it to get the bag to appear?!

By default, all weapons except pistols and the knife will give you a bag, and $65000 or more will also give you bag. There are settings for this at the bottom of the INI file.

I'm glad you asked, because I decided to quickly test the script — and found that cash didn't give a bag. This bug is now fixed in v1.2.6 hotfix 2, which I just uploaded.

hey man, ive got a problem here, i dont have a num pad in my laptop or a num block key, freaking dell, ho would i change that so i can pres other key to drop the weapons?

In the INI file, you can set the keys to anything in this list:

So if you want to use the U key: "RemoveWeaponKey = U"

its impossible to complete mission "Final interview" with this mod - game wont let you in an interview - it decides that you dont in a suit (i turn off the mod and game let me through)
