GTA-IVaud v1.1.5

by Vilavek
Please explain why you're reporting this file:

This is a sub-version of the upcoming 1.2 of GTA-IVaud. This version does NOT support the opening or replacing of compressed speech audio, or compressed multichannel audio such as music and radio stations, version 1.2 will do that. What this release does do is fix several issues which resulted in program instability, and it adds support for the showing of filenames.

Ok, As far as i could see only raw can select L/B endian just like other soft. Thats the only way working for me. I tried to replace lightning sounds, I import them with no problems, but it's making some weird misplaced noises while playing in game. Sounds like wrong sample rate or something. Not sure if it's not regognizing some parameters right or maybe it's one of those not working sections. Just trying to give you some feedback.

Thank you for the feedback tall70. Which ivaud were you editing? Maybe I can do some debug work and see if I can reproduce your issue and attempt to resolve it! Did you replace the lightning sound with a sound which was longer or shorter in length than the original? Was the sample rate the same?

RAIN.ivaud. Yes, everything same, no message while importing, but i had them slightly different in lenght. Some of them longer. So i will reedit some of them to exact lenght and let you know.

I will play around with rain.ivaud as well and see if I can reproduce your issue. If one does exist i'll want to fix it before I release 1.2. Out of curiosity, was this RAIN.ivaud one you had modified already in an older version of GTA-IVaud? If so, try starting out with a fresh unmodified version of RAIN.ivaud and see if you still have the issue! =)

Rain.ivaud was clean. I replaced gun sound with older version with no modification to wave. Just swap one with another. That never gave me any problem. I will correct rain sound length and let you know later.

Hi Thanks for your tool. I have one question:

Does the Gta Ivaud File have the ability of adding sound files?

for episodic weapons i mean.

The current version (1.1.5) scans any ivaud file for existing entries, and allows you to replace/extract them, but does not allow you to add additional entries at the moment. Additionally, it only allows you to do this with non-compressed PCM audio entries, such as with sound effects. (Speech and Music audio currently cannot be edited/replaced/extracted).

amd74: nobody tried this and is thought impossible, so you could go through all files and still might not find a way. it would definitely be the eldorado if someone found out.

The tool won't open anything but an .ivaud file.

How can I edit the .rpf file?

Hey awesome. I only just started changing sounds in GTAIV. Just a quick question. Is there a way to highlight multiple file and replace all at once? (if it already does this and I'm too stupid to realize then I apologize)

I have a request... Could anyone design some freeware that converts all audio codeds into a GTA 4 compatible file. And, when that's done, design a freeware that has a five inch bar containing the original noise, and the noise you're replacing it with (something exact or a little shorter, a requirement for the software too work) INSIDE another bar below it; one touch replacement.

I know designing software can be really hard, but perhaps this is an interface that could work?
