really nice work mate

it is a very nice car with good handling, but in my game, the textures of the car is the template, and only sometimes i can see the actual color. Why is that happening?
Posted on April 19, 2013 9:14PM by Douglas_Macinto
it would be really nice if you could make a gmc sierra 1500. ive been looking all around but i could not find one.

Thanks you ! Very good remplacement for Bobcat !

10/10 for your effort !

I've a question for the autor Policefanatic, about the Chevrolet Impala taxi, do you have the handling for correct the car's shaking ?

Thanks you again, lot of good cars by you !

(sorry for my english level)

@ duramax yes you can change it.Please search for a tutorial that shows you how to change skins

@Kanyo I mapped it different on purpose. But I might make a second version and update it.

@ adinhoa Unfortunatley you dont have a clue my friend.....

Low poly interior, since the goal was most likely low wft size. This is not meant to be HQ show off. I like it for what it is, especially since my pc can't handle big stuff.

Delete livery in ide if you don't want paint jobs. And if so removing them from wtd would get whole model even lighter.

@Sgt.Kanyo i believe bottom yellow head lamp is park and signal in one while those little side ones are only park. Then inner top is high beam. It's just too much mess, lol, who wants to be doing all that.

beta? to many bugs for release version:

- uncomfortable view/sight position

- brakedisk attached by chassis... LOL

- no reflections in mirrors

- unoptimized WTD with unnecessary textures

- ugly 'joint' on the tirewall

- uncorrect driver position

and where is a normal livery? everyone can release unfinished convert without normal textures and say "hey, make that textures by yourself". this is ridiculous.

advantages (+3):

- very good choice of model

- WFT file size

- handling

if the author doesn't mind, here is my opinion about WTD: http://www.sendspace.com/file/6gkko3

(deleted unused textures; color correction of some textures; size reduction of some textures)

I hope that the author will listen to all the comments and make correct updates in version 2.

@ BubL1k No I dont mind the edits on the .wtd.

If you cant make a normal livery yourself well.....

-i dunno how to do the view/sight (probably somewhere in the vehicles.ide)

-reflections...yeah.... lol forgot them

-explain "joint", will fix.

sweet, an updated version will be nice

just finished my liveries for this
Posted on April 22, 2013 12:16PM by ReNNie
@ Policefanatic, for me too difficult to explain in English))

- "joint" -- http://www.imagebam.com/image/a8f7bf250361200

- view/sight -- step by step :)

1)[ZM2] show and select all details of model; then you have to raise (3-4 blocks) all these details, BUT WITHOUT 3 DUMMIES -- "bobcat.wft", "chassis" and "bodyshell" (that 3 dummies should stay in the center of scene) (blocks -- http://www.imagebam.com/image/832ae3250365702)

2)[ZM2] reset to parent local axes of "bodyshell_L0" "bodyshell_L1" "chassis_L0" "chassis_L1" "chassis_L2" (don't forget to add lowpoly lod 2 for chassis!!!!)

3) [handling.dat] now reduce the parameter "(G) CentreOfMass.z" to "-0,55" or lower, if the car will turn over in the game.

and use A8R8G8B8 option (in OpenIV) when you import some of dark textures to WTD. it will protect the texture of the color distortion (green/purple)

Alright.Thx BubL1k for the help.I will bring up an updated version soon.
Posted on April 22, 2013 1:58PM by Policefanatic
@Policefanatic: Bubl1k is right. Other than chassis and .wft dummy (I don't take bodyshell into consideration), all of the dummies must have their parent reset to local axis when you convert a car. Just to be on the safe side, check the handling of the car in-game after it. If its screwed, edit the "Z" value of CoG in handling.dat. Also, Chassis L2 is a good thing to add as it doesn't let the car "appear out of nowhere" suddenly. A8R8G8B8 is generally the Alpha, Red, Green, Blue values of the texture in 8-bit formats and prevents the color distorion, as Bubl1k said. Just to clarify a bit more ;)
