Wow so many model releases, ME GUSTA! I love this Ram, awesome model, and only 4MB :D. 10/10, no bugs found.

good model, much better than the screenshots however there is few things if you are considering an update:

- Paintable interior.

- More work in the interior (side & roof)

- Better lights textures.

- The grille and bumpers are just black with reflection not chrome (and i'm not using any ENB) .

it need more work and it will be great mod & thanks for it .

10/10 bro more american cars

@Deve: Actually, the grille and bumpers are the same as mirrors because I used chrome for all.

Better light textures would require heavier .wtd which I was avoiding as of now.

Anyways, thanks to all for downloading and rating the file. Enjoy.

great choice, Dhruv! but there are a few remarks:

1. sory, but the tread looks ugly! detach it and use "surface -- normals -- smooth". that "ribs" should disappear.

2. some textures are too "fuzzy", especially on the badges. it requires more quality :)

3. tirewall has unpretty "joint", just like that: http://www.imagebam.com/image/a8f7bf250361200

if you want to reduce the .WTD size -- so use DXT1 compression for all normal (bump) textures, dirt textures and specular textures. it does not affect the quality.

you know, man, I just want to help to improve the quality of this mod ;)

Oh damn, Bubl1k got me lol! Thanks for the feedback, Bubl1k you know I always appreciate it.

1. Actually, those treads are one of the reasons why the .wft is so light. The community till now only had Toyz77/Veteran78's high-poly Dodge Ram 3500 so I figured it would be good to share a low-poly version. It gives you options which was hitherto lacking from the community, so I don't mind the treads itself and I expect the users to not download it if they dislike it. Its for those "high-poly" paranoids like me lol!

2.Yeah, I know. But re-texturing them and producing a HD image would require spec, normals and even dirt maps to be of that size. Again, the fear of file getting big. But I admit, I could've done something about it.

3. Didn't get this part. Are you talking about the rear dually set? If yes, then I've already stated it in the readme and its one of those acknowledged bugs I can't seem to fix at this point of time.

Thx for the tip on DXT1 compression, mate. I'll remember it next time onwards.

And thank you even more for leaving a constructive criticism. I wish all my users had done that ;) I use your vehicles too, and all of them are just so awesome. My favorites being your Silverado and the Suburban GMT900.

It's kinda ironic how you always try to keep everything low-filesize, yet you have the main textures in A8R8B8G8 (uncompressed) format. (i changed them to DXT1 and the wtd decreased by more than 1 mb)

Also a tip: don't use "Surface/Normals/Calculate" on wheels, interior and other parts. It's mainly the reason why the tire tread looks ugly.

How'd I miss this? it has been released! Welcome to the modding scene, Dhruv. 10/10.
Posted on May 20, 2013 7:11AM by Compeast
@maczkopeti: I only import the interior textures in A8R8G8B8 so that they don't lose the very reason of their existence, mate. Everything else goes on auto mode. But thanks for the tip.

And I never calculate normals. Why'd I d that lol? My car originally had correct shading ;)

@Compeast: Thanks, man. But what do you mean with welcome to the modding scene lol? I already have a plethora of mods released here. Check this out: http://www.gtagaming.com/downloads/author/143983 Soon to be 30k downloads

1. no no, man! I'm talking about smoothing of normals, not about polygons. operation like "surface -- normals -- smooth" will not lead to an increase in the polygon count.

2. a couple of small textures (128*128, DXT1) only a bit increase the size of .WTD (dirt and spec is unnecessary for that small detail)

3. no. look at the image, the texture image is not joined in marked areas.
Posted on May 20, 2013 8:22AM by BubL1k
1. Wow lol! So much to learn. I'll keep that in mind. Thanks, bro! ;)

2. I'd still insist on having a single texture file for as many parts possible. First, I'm a lazy ass guy and second, it keeps the file size down. I yearn for smaller bits lol. Try to keep my mods below 2.8MB. Also, if I don't add dirt/spec, Zmod will express anger resulting in "missing shader config" errors.

3. I guess you're talking about the outer ring and not the spokes themselves, then?

1 tip, if u wanna to convert a gd mod, dont pick the file size as ur main target, cuz it will limit the entire quality of the mod.

ps, wft below 5-6MB is ok for IV imo, if u convert it right
Posted on May 20, 2013 9:17AM by DesMan
DesMan, I've found that once my vehicles.img is a bit over 230MB, I start getting texture loss with besides the taxis. IV is pretty unstable and extra sensitive as far as I know.
Posted on May 20, 2013 9:23AM by Fulcrum
well get a standard non-modded vehichles.img, use it just to test ur mod, cuz u r not the only one who will use the mod :P
Posted on May 20, 2013 9:25AM by DesMan
Oh lol! Well, mind you I have a pretty good rig/system :P
Posted on May 20, 2013 9:29AM by Fulcrum
dont make fun when im talking seriously, it doesnt matter if u have a gd rig or not, IV rage suck that's the part
Posted on May 20, 2013 10:04AM by DesMan
Oh reeeally? Lol. Yeah, I know. It sucks ass.
Posted on May 20, 2013 10:24AM by Fulcrum
Somebody really need to make limit adjuster like the one for SA

I find it irritating to have textures disappearing and shit

Posted on May 21, 2013 10:32PM by jdude512
engine is shit and needs more paint and texture options but its a good model, just desperately need a version 2, 3D engine is a must with this! please do it.

@5dmc1, Great a "Forza or no" guy. You have no idea how much effort went into this.
