af CTI55

This is a School bus mod for GTA IV. Original model by Car0x. My first ever mod so excuse dummy mistakes in the mod. I've added mirrors, extended the bus, bonnet, tires, rims, bumper, license plate.

YOU WILL HAVE TO EDIT YOUR

HANDLING.DAT
CARCOLS.DAT
VEHICLES.IDE

with the lines of code provided in readme.txt.

Okay the bug where it flips up and down is still there unfortunately. Great detail, and GREAT tires, we need someone to do some American trucks [not tuned] with these wheels!

does it work without changing the handling??. my game flips out and doesn't work when I try to change the handling which is really annoying, any ideas. it looks like a great replacement for the ugly green one in game.

Sorry but you have to change the handling. Otherwise the bus will flip whenever you turn the wheel. What does your game do when you mess with the handling? Maybe I can help.

@CTI55 the game just does not start, when I edit it it won't let me save it in the same place and I have to save it as an txt file (using notepad) in documents, then convert it to a data file and copy it back to the gta folder. when I click yo play the game it tries to load but does nothing. probably something I'm doing wrong somewhere.

Alright I understand. Go to your gta iv directory, common, data, then right click handling.dat uncheck read only. Click apply then ok. now you should be able to save the file without renaming it. Just replace the handling line with the one provided save and try to start game. Tell me the outcome. Also have you ever installed the magic patcher? That may be the problem also. @CTI55 , nothing worked, gay vista is being gay I think :(. It won't let me save the handling even after I turn the read only off. tried magic patch still nothing. sigh... I'll try some of the handling editors and see if that does anything.

It's a good model but alot of things should be fixed, like it's too high, too large, wheels are too close to each other, lights should have more saturation and the headlights should be a bit darker. Don't missunderstand me, it's a good model but it really really needs alot of fixing.

Yeah, that's one of the bugs :) He made a custom collision for the bodyshell and that's why it acts like that :)

ya i even cant get the asi loaders to work, but like i said if you can make the V2 not need to mess with anything, it anoying seeing a green bus but hell i still use it cuse its a sick model

Sorry but have you every seen a school bus? This is a bus based off of this bus http://www.schoolbusland.com/international/images/k33283_1.jpg with some different design features.

I KNOW THERE ARE BUGS! It's my first mod ever. And yes it needs a lot of fixing. Also chasez I understand your a modeler. I have some questions about some things do you have MSN?

No custom collision for the bodyshell. It's a bug with the mirror. I've fixed it in version 2 (coming soon).

That thing on the front is a stop arm all American school buses these days have them. As seen in the picture above ^^^^^^^^

I know what kind of model are you making and you still can see in this same picture that your version is too high up from the ground and wheels are too close to each other.
