Realism Series - Weapon & Explosion Sounds + Physics v1.2

Please explain why you're reporting this file:

About this mod:

Gives realistic weapon and explosion sounds and physics to GTA. The best sounding shootouts are in the middle of star junction, in the center of the roads that form an X (in front of the burger shot).

When you shoot full auto for a certain amount of time the sound start glitching, so just use burst firing until the sound start to normalize. An example of burst firing is shooting 3 to 5 rounds a second.

- Realistic sounds & physics for weapons and explosions, even grenade and molotov

- Realistic rate of fire added to firearms

- New fire glow effect for molotov

- More fire added to molotv, RPG, and other explosions

- Louder fire burning sound effect

- Fire hydrant water stream size increased to realistic size (run over a fire hydrant and find out)

- Longer explosion flash range and damage radius

- You can throw molotov and grenades a lot further

- Increased recoil on all firearms to add realism (works only for the xbox360 controller)

- Increased range for annihilator and buzzard minigun

- Increased speed and rate of fire for buzzard rockets

- Increased speed for RPG rocket

- Removed camera shake effect from some explosions to add realism

- Lowered bullet physics force for realistic animation when peds get shot

- Takes 2 grenades or 2 rpg rocket to blow up vehicles

This is what the weapons sound are supposed to resemble

Pistol - Glock 22

Combat Pistol - IMI Desert Eagle

Pump Shotgun - Ithica Model 37 Stakeout

Combat Shotgun - Remington 11-87

Micro-Uzi - IMI Micro-Uzi

Assualt Rifle - AK-47

Carbine Rifle - M4A1

Sniper Rifle - Barrett M82

Combat Rifle - H&K PSG1

Is this made for Because when I use the Weaponinfo.xml, then no weapons appear in the game at all (Everyone is unarmed). The sounds are pretty cool but some of the sounds are acting weird. Like when you fire fullyautomatic its like sometimes the firing sound drowned in the previous shots you've fired.

yeah that's a bug I can't seem to fix without sacrificing the sound quality like making the sounds shorter. What you can do is burst fire until the sounds start to normalize again then start shooting full auto.

I think you've done a great job on the other sound mods but I don't know about this.

The handguns and the shotguns sound too alike I found, and the RPG also sounds like a gun IMO. In general the sounds are too alike, as if they were recorded too close to the sound source and thus all have this same drowned out effect.

Some of the other features are quit neat however.

The handguns sounds are good. The rest aren't bad but they have too much echo on them thus creating poor effects when multiple rounds are fired. My suggestion is too cut out the echo in all the sounds, then add them back in the appropriate slots in the Weapons.ivaud. There are separate slots for echo sounds to avoid this issue.

Hmm, I'll also add my game won't load when I install this mod with your other ones.

What I mean is if I install the entire Realism series the game won't launch, but if I replace this mod specifically with a different weapons/explosions mod it works. o_0

Anyways I haven't voted down or anything, out of appreciation for all your hard work over the past few months. Keep it up!

Are you playing GTA IV or EFLC? What patch are you using? When you start up the game do you get an error? if so what does it say?

I don't know what to tell you since I haven't encountered a problem like the one you described, I'm guessing it might be because of some the really long weapon sounds in the mod. I will make them shorter and see if that will make this mod more stable and also get rid of a sound glitch for people who's game does start up.

"The Realism Series - Weapon & Explosion Sounds + Physics v1.2 is the most outrageously awesome weapon sounds pack I've ever heard. The 1995 Movie Heat just got it's doppleganger in PC Game form. Highly recommended for realism fanatics."

The RPG and Nades are kind of Underpowered (RPG takes like 3 shots to blow up a single car), although the speed of the rocket is a lot better.

I read that there are a couple of issues with this mod. Mostly with the weapon-sounds apparently. But isn't it possible to leave out the parts with the issues and bugs (for now)?

I have some bad issues with the mod, i can't change the weapon.ivaud unless having the smpa30 error. My game is on 1.0.4 with xliveless and without steam. An idea ?
